"Damn you... catch me if you can!"

Tai Lin used a smoke bomb to distract Aerion and escape.

"Damn that Tai Lin..."

Then the girl appeared right next to me. "You should use this time to heal your friend."

"And how would I do that? I'm no doctor..."

She sighed. "This would be far easier if you were Yun Che..."

"Who's Yun Che?"

"The person you cut in half?"

"Oh, right. That guy. What's your name, anyway?"

"You can call this princess Jasmine."

"An absolute p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to finally know your name, princess. How can I possibly heal my dear friend?"

"Use the Sky Poison Pearl, detoxifying poison is one of its main powers."

Aerion nodded, he didn't know how the Pearl would possibly heal Tai Quin but he would at least try. Tai Lin can wait, Tai Quin's life is more important. Sky Piercer was returned to the Sky Poison Pearl and Aerion started moving.

~Lower floor~

Aerion made his way down to the room the governor gave them. Tai Shu and Tai Quin were both sleeping in separate beds while Xia was sitting down next to Tai Quin and crying. The doctor shook his dead.

"I'm afraid I've never encountered such a lethal poison... I'm afraid that Quin's survival will be entirely based on himself. If he cannot pull through, then he will die in approximately ten minutes. Tai Shu, though, will be fine."

The doctor left the room and went past me.

"My Condolences..."

Tai Quin... is... going to die? I was certain the governor's doctor would be able to heal Quin... that leaves only one option. The Sky Poison Pearl, the thing tattooed to my left palm. I took a deep breath and reassured Xia.

"Everything is going to be ok, I will heal Quin. But can you leave me and him alone for a minute? I need to concentrate."

Complete bullshit, but she bought into it. Why did I lie? I needed Jasmine to materialise and show me how the Sky Poison Pearl works. And Xia seeing me with such a heavenly young girl would make things... complicated.

"A...alright."

She went outside of the room. Instantly, Aerion called upon Jasmine.

"So... how do I use the Sky Poison Pearl to heal Quin?"

Jasmine replied in a simple tone.

"Just use your left hand."

~20 seconds later~

Tai Quin's skin colour was returning, he was no longer green!

"It works!"

"Tch, something so simple makes you so excited. You can use the pearl to open all of your profound entrances as well."

"Profound entrances?"

"This princess doesn't have the time to tell you everything, but when you unlock all of your entrances you will cultivate faster and unlock your Evil God Legacy."

"Evil God Legacy? Sounds powerful..."

~A minute later~

Aerion did as he was told and unlocked all of his profound entrances (previously 30 were open!). He would now cultivate at an even faster rate and be able to use the Evil God Arts, the Seven Gates.

EVIL SOUL.

"So this is how it works, eh?"

"Mhm, I think it's about time I go"

Jasmine enters the Sky Poison Pearl and Xia enters the room.

Hmm, I feel pretty damn normal. Looks like I can sustain "Evil Soul", the first gate, without any problems. An amplification of 2-3 times, so that's how that damn Yun Che beat me.

Damn cheater, he was ahead of me in cultivation and he STILL had to use Evil Soul. Hahaha... don't worry Yun Che, your powers are in capable hands. May you rest in peace.

"Tai Quin... is ok... Jun Long... you really healed him! I..."

She hugged me. "I... lo-"

She was about to say the magical words but Aerion moved away, he was determined to avenge his friend.

"Take care of Shu and Quin, I'm going to kill Tai Lin today."

Aerion jumped through the window and fell to the ground, the fall didn't hurt at all.

Where is that Tai Lin? Where did he go...?

Aerion quickly observed the entire City but he found nothing. He even went outside of the City... which caused him to find footsteps.

"These couldn't be Tai Lin's... isn't he a former Noble Rogue? All Disciples know how to hide their tracks, but perhaps in the heat of the moment... he slipped up?

Aerion decided to follow the trail. Shockingly enough, it lead him to a giant cave. He didn't like the look of it but he went inside anyway. Once inside, Aerion heard an echo which sounded like Tai Lin laughing. This was it, Aerion thought. It had to be.

At the very end of the cave stood Tai Lin. There were money, pills and dead bodies everywhere. There were some symbols painted all over the walls, painted with blood. Tai Lin's face was painted with blood and he was smiling like some maniac.

"You've come to play... mhm... haven't you?"

"Damn, what the hell happened?"

"The Blood Cult is immortal and invisible to all in daylight... everyone could potentially be part of it, your mother... your father... your uncle... everyone. We sacrifice non-believers to our lord... for his blessing. He will one day rise from the sky, ocean and earth... to kill all who do not bow to him. Do you wish to join us?"

"You need to see a doctor..."

"See? Our dear Lord of Blood... do you not see? A non-believer stands before you! Help me... my lord, help me kill him. Grant me your blessing..."

A burst of loud laughter fills the cave...

BOOM!

Aerion gets sent flying out of the cave.

Damn.. what in the hell was that?

"Hmm... Inheritor of Aerios? It's about time we met... I will take great p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e in killing you!"

That voice... it wasn't Tai Li's, for sure.

"Who are you?"

"I am Rotias, the God of BLOOD AND DESTRUCTION. HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF ME?"

Looks like me not knowing about him struck a nerve, unfortunate.

"Well... I've read a bit about you some time ago...."

"Good, good... NOW DIE."

In just one step, Tai Li/ Rotias closed the distance. He slashed his sword horizontally.

BURNING HEART.

Aerion quickly steps back from the attack.

"Not bad, not bad at ALL! Come now, entertain me... child." Rotias walks forward again.

FIRE BREATH!

Silver white flames left Aerion's mouth and attacked "Rotias".

"THOSE FLAMES... DAMN YOU, AERIOS! DAMN YOU... I WILL RETURN... I WILL! I WILL ONE DAY RULE EVERYTHING AND... GAH... EVERYONE!"

The moment the flames touched "Rotias", he left Tai Lin's body. It looked like Tai Lin's body was purified of Rotias' evil and dark soul by the pure white flames.

Rotias... so he's real. That must mean all of the other Major Gods are real... all nine of them. Inheritor of Aerios... so the Flaming Dragon below Bloodstone was Aerios!?

Aerion stood in shock at the realisation.

When you put it all together... The Reconqueror... the man who will conquer not only Westeros but the entire World. Aerios, the Ancestor of all Targaryens... was the King of The Gods. He ruled everything over and under the Sky... but he lost all of it to Rotias and his deadly poison. He looked for a human worthy of his power, a human who could regain what was lost... a human of his bloodline...

I was the man who was prophecised to Reconquer what was lost...

It all makes sense now.

There's no doubt I will meet Rotias again... but as Aerios did before, I will defeat him. A cult dedicated to Rotias... I will have to be careful from now on.
