Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 37 - The Dungeon

After a few seconds, Aerion's eyes got used to the light. He was standing in a large and wide field of grass. Ahead of this field, he could clearly see a large tower.

---------------------------

Current Mission: Defeat f1 boss

Reward: Heavenly Cultivation Pill (True Profound)

(Everything here was created, your mission is to kill everything and gain rewards for it!)

---------------------------

Complete floor 1?

Heavenly Cultivation Pill?

...

Are you telling me I can get stronger even when I'm sleeping? If so, I'll definitely grow stronger faster than everyone else!

Aerion walked towards the tower, he figured that the boss would be there. Aerion encountered boars, wolfs and even dire wolves on the way. He slew them all with no difficulty. He realised that these beasts dropped gold, which was instantly s.u.c.k.e.d into his ring. Inside of the toward stood dozens of wolf-human soldiers... Aerion went right through them with no difficulty. Then he reached the "throne room". At the gate stood the Half Wolf Captain.

"I won't let you get past this gate..."

"Is that so?"

Aerion released some wind profound energy and the captain's head was cut off.

"The gate is locked shut... I'll have to force my way in."

Crimson Demon Wave.

The gate was completely obliterated by the wave. Aerion came inside and saw six figures. By using observe, Aerion found out that five of these were royal guards and the largest figure was the "Wolf Lord".

"YOU DARE ENTER MY THRONE ROOM?"

A thousand cuts!

All six figures die and Aerion retrieves their remains.

---------------------------

Congratulations! You have cleared the first floor and earned yourself a Heavenly Cultivation Pill (True Profound).

Description: Once swallowed, this pill will increase a person's cultivation level by one stage as long as they are below the Spirit Profound Realm. If the person has no cultivation to begin with, then the person breaks through to the Elementary Profound Realm. You can only eat one a day unless you want to explode.

New mission: Clear floor 4

Reward: Dragon Egg

---------------------------

A Dragon egg? I wonder who's giving out these rewards?

The second floor was a bit more difficult. Still, Aerion breezed through it. He noticed that the enemies were in the Nascent Profound Realm while the enemies on the first floor were only in the Elementary Profound Realm. That means floor 3 should have True Profound enemies, floor 4 would have Spirit Profound enemies and floor 5 would have Earth Profound enemies! The second floor's boss was a giant golem. Aerion defeated the golem with a powerful punch. The third floor was almost as easy as the second. The boss was a large and venomous spider "Black Widow". It actually tried to bite Aerion but its fangs couldn't pierce his skin. Aerion burnt the spider with his fire breath.

~F4 boss room~

The boss was a big wasp... what's up with the small creatures being so large here? What's next, a giant fire ant?

The beast was at the very peak of the Spirit Profound Realm which meant that Aerion would have to use the first gate, Dragon Soul.

"I want to get the Dragon egg as quickly as possible... begone!"

Ghost Flames.

The wasp was completely obliterated, leaving only gold.

That was easy... but I think the next floor will be far more challenging. The next boss should be at the very peak of the Earth Profound Realm. It's getting darker, when will this end? Or am I trapped in this realm forever...?

Aerion moved onto the next floor. The scenery changed, Aerion found himself back in the plane of nothingness.

---------------------------

Welcome to Floor 4.5 (resting area!)

Congratulations! You have cleared the fourth floor and earned yourself a Dragon Egg!

New mission: Clear floor 5

Reward: Heavenly Cultivation Pill (Spirit Profound) x1, Heavenly Cultivation Pill (True Profound) x10, Weapon Upgrade (Sky Profound)

---------------------------

"Nice Dragon egg."

"How does one hatch a dragon egg? Many people have failed... I do not wish to join that list."

"Don't you remember your family quote? FIRE AND BLOOD!"

"Just fire and blood? If it was that simple then there would be dragons flying around in Westeros and Essos."

"Your fire is special and so is your blood! Do it... you won't fail."

"Alright, you asked for it. If this Egg doesn't hatch, you're going to make a new one to replace it!"

"Well... I can't really do that..."

GHOST FLAMES!

While the flames were burning the egg, Aerion cut himself with Silver Eagle and he waited for the blood to drip onto the flames. The ghost-like flames grow twice the size and turn into a bright shade of red. Aerion didn't exactly know what the quote meant by "Fire and Blood" so he improvised. It looked like his method worked.

"You have access to Phoenix Flames... USE IT!"

Aerion nodded, he knew that he had Phoenix Flames before but he didn't really use them. He couldn't think of a better time to start using them!

"HERE GOES..."

PHOENIX FLAMES!!!

Aerion released an enormous amount of Phoenix Flames which joined the mix of his blood and ghost flames.

*CRACK*

BOOM!

The Dragon Egg finally hatched... and out came a tiny red Dragon!

"Well done, you have succeeded."

The little Dragon started to fly around.

Aerion couldn't believe it, he actually did it. A real Dragon... when was the last time a Targaryen owned a Dragon? Over a century ago! Father, are you watching? Your Son, Aerion Targaryen, has hatched a dragon egg!

~

Aerion woke up with excitement he never felt before. He found the dragon in his Sky Poison Pearl. Daemon looked at the Dragon, then he looked at me.

(So I'm not enough, huh?)

I hope they get on well together since they'll be spending a lot of time in the same place.

Aerion left the Sky Poison Pearl and he sat down on his bed. He swallowed the Heavenly Cultivation Pill and started to meditate. He broke through to the Tenth Stage of the True Profound Realm in mere seconds.

He looked at his ring.

---------------------------

Dungeon Ring

1,000 gold

---------------------------

1,000 gold, I wonder what it's used for? Maybe it will have some use in the future...

~

Aerion spent an hour preparing for his training session with the Grandmaster. He decided that they would train from 6 in the morning until noon (6 hours). Aerion was free to do what he wants for the rest of the day.

"You've grown stronger."

"Correct, I'm at the Tenth Stage of the True Profound realm now."

Tai Wentian smiled. "Let's see what good it will do you... Earth Decimating To-"

Draconic Heart, Star God's Broken Shadow!

"I'm faster than before as well."

BOOM!

Aerion sent the Grandmaster flying with one swing. After Tai Wentian stood up, Aerion could see blood... Sky Piercer's axe made the Grandmaster bleed!

"Hahahaha... looks like I'll have to use a bit more strength."

Tai Wentian appears right in front of Aerion before he could react. Then he sent Aerion flying with one punch. Then he looked at Sky Piercer... and he kicked it far away.

"You are a good fighter with your versatile Halberd... but what happens when I take it from you?"

There's no way I'm getting Sky Piercer back any time soon, especially if the Grandmaster doesn't want me to... which means I'll have to use my other weapons.

"The Sword Villa disciples I fought were so predictable, they all used swords and relied on the same profound art. Don't be like them... be unpredictable and adaptable!"

"Yes, Grandmaster."

Aerion knew exactly what Tai Wentian meant. Every time he used Star God's Broken Shadow it was to get behind the opponent, apart from that fight he had with Rotias. Another thing was he relied heavily on Sky Piercer when he had other deadly weapons such as Silver Eagle and the Hidden Blade. If he were to lose Sky Piercer in battle, his battle power would diminish drastically since his skills with the Hidden Blade and sword are average at best. If he can completely master both the Sword and Spear, then he would become a true monster.

Aerion drew Silver Eagle from its sheath.

"Hmm? You're finally going to use your sword? It's about time you did."

The Grandmaster drew his own sword.

*CLASH*

They clashed swords... neither backed down.

"What will you do now?"

FIRE BREATH!!!

Tai Wentian wasn't expecting that. Still, his powerful wind aura protected him from the fire.

STAR GOD'S BROKEN SHADOW.

"Aerion" went behind the Grandmaster. He knew that the Aerion only went for the back and that the afterimage he left behind was a fake.

Aerion smirked.

FALLING MOON SINKING STAR!

BOOM!

*Cough*

"I'm most impressed, Jun Long. You are truly one of a kind..."

~Night~

The training session with the Grandmaster went quite well. Aerion was steadily improving, which was great. After the training session, Aerion stayed to practice his Sword and Spear technique. The Grandmaster nodded in approval. After spending the whole day at the Training Pavillion, Aerion decided to return to his room and sleep. Before going to sleep, he fed both Daemon and the Dragon.

"You need a name, don't you? Let me think..."

Then something clicked.

"You'll be Rhaegal!"

The little Dragon seemed to have approved of his new name.

After that, Aerion put them back in the Sky Poison Pearl and he went to sleep. There were no dreams, he was instantly brought to the plane of nothingness. The Dragon was in front of him, as usual, his flames burning brightly. The gate to the "Dungeon" stood behind him. Red words appeared on his left side.

"Instant Blacksmith Furnace, 1000 gold"

Alright, take my gold. An instant blacksmith furnace sounds interesting... besides, I don't know any other place to spend it.

Instantly, the gold from Aerion's ring disappeared. Seconds later, the blacksmith furnace was created. It didn't look all that special.

"Dump all of your Spirit Profound weapons inside."

"What? But..."

"Just do it. You don't have a use for them anyway."

Aerion dumped all of his Spirit Profound weapons into the fire. The flames of the furnace instantly melted the weapons, turning them into liquids. Then the liquids fused together and an entirely new weapon started to form.

Aerion observed the transformation... he was completely dumbfounded by what was the final product. Aerion couldn't even explain it... it looked like it was a blunt weapon but that was all he could think of. It looked like it could deal some solid damage and it's an Earth Profound weapon. This was definitely a win on my part.

(IT'S A BASEBALL BAT, cough.)

Now, it's about time I open the gates!

Aerion unlocked the gate with his ring and strolled right inside. The Fifth Floor was different from the rest, it was made completely from ice. In front of him was a linear path which led to a large ice gate. It was very cold but Aerion's clothes and his Fire/Dragon related bloodlines kept him warm.

*Cough*

"You, over there."

A cloaked man spoke. He was leaning against the wall of ice next to the entrance of the Fifth floor. Aerion turned around.

"Who are you?"

"I am a very rich man, that's all you need to know. I like the gold that drops from the beasts and I'm willing to trade for it. I'll give you something in exchange for all of your gold."

"I see... but the problem is I don't have any gold."

"Then go and earn some, I'm here all night... or day. It depends on when you sleep."

"Very well."

Aerion moved away from the man and started to walk on the path. The first enemy that started to appear was "Angered Snowman". They ranged from the first stage of the Earth Profound Realm to the third stage. Aerion realised that he was fully rested despite him being tired when he went to sleep... perhaps his real body is separated from this one?

Aerion slammed Sky Piercer straight onto the ice. The Snowmen looked at Aerion. His eyes glowed red with 3 black tomoe each, the Snowmen hesitated to attack him.

"Now that I have your attention...it's time to begin the slaughter!"
