With its hulking size, the goblin commander kept on a roaring, the three weren't having it anymore and preparing their weapons, ready to charge ahead.

"It might be at its initial phase of summoning goblin minions but since we killed them all earlier, it won't be able to do anything unless we deplete some of its HP." Gram explained.

"That might be true but mou~! Let's defeat it already! It's so loud and noisy!" Risa complained, they agreed and immediately initiated his 'buffing' sequence, rubbing both girl's heads and after that, moved at the back, positioning himself, not even a bit embarrassed at his natural actions. He did feel a little weird since it felt like he was being protected by two girls, even though it was very different from what other people's opinions can say but for the two girls, it was different.

"Let's go!" Kaede said. She moved forward to cover the frontline. Gram used [ Light Barrier ], [ Wind Boost ], [ Wind Enhancement ], and [ Fire Rune ] just to make sure they are pretty well off.

As he selected the conventional build or specifically, the full-mage build, he didn't dislike it nor did they hate him for it. If put in a different perspective, his build wasn't really following the fundamental guideline of the basics of stats distribution, and he only preferred it because of its greater potential of being a satisfactory powerhouse in the late game.

He might, or would have a large margin given that usually, those with infinitely high INT status had an excessive amount of skills than warriors or physical damage dealers.

They nodded at each other and had already taken preparatory action themselves. Kaede changed her large shield to her black tower shield [ Mirror of the Dark Night ] for the dungeon's final battle.

Kaede won't give any leverage since this was the dungeon boss and she won't underestimate it.

It was the same for Risa and Gram as they prepared to use their trump skills if necessary.

The distance between them and the goblin commander was about sixty meters.

"I'm going now! When I attack, Knox should follow up at that moment!" Risa announced.

"Sure!"

"Roger~!" Kaede saluted. As Risa got a reply from both, she literally flew forward, Gram couldn't help smiling at the eager girl. Risa had started being their impromptu leader, it was his fault, given that his leadership tends to make himself the most damaging person in most fights, which he couldn't stop since that's what he's good about.

Like a speeding bullet, Risa closed the distance with her top-speed in just a moment, gliding against the wind with a sound of whistling wind pressure, due to the augmented wind buffs and her latest speed. With her pace, it seems the goblin commander didn't see or couldn't care about her making a running curve at it's back.

"[ Double Slash ]! [ Thunder Cutter ]! [ Wind Cutter ]! [ Fireball ]!" Risa chained several spells that depleted 90% of her MP and after attacking for two more hits she retreated back. She was able to damage the sitting goblin commander 12% of it's HP which was substantial.

"Leave quickly! It's going to shift it's attack pattern after I attack! [ Fire Rune ]! [ Fire Flare ]!, [ Multi-Fire Lance ]!"

With Risa's initial attacks, Gram followed with devastating fire spells, it consumed all his MP but he was able to remove 35% of its HP prompting it to be angry.

The goblin commander faced in front of Kaede because the earthy makeshift throne was parallel to the entrance of the boss room. It was sitting at its throne so it took all the damage with no choice.

With another roar, a red-glint appeared on its eyes, it seemed to be going to shift its attack pattern.

Sitting on the throne, the goblin commander clasped its hand at the giant rusty hilt, and then with a sweep of its hand, massive air pressure was produced, it stood up, it drew the large saber from the ground violently while it left, a fissure on the ground resounded.

It looked at them ominously and violently, an impending warning struck Risa's heart as she tightly gripped her dagger before she moved again to a different place.

'Crap!'

*Whoosh* The goblin commander suddenly sped up, due to its large hulking body it was able to follow up behind Risa and due to its large sword, it made a giant cleave in front. She was able to react with its fast movement but she couldn't evade the large area of its swing.

"I can't dodge! The attack area is too large!" Risa shouted she didn't know if she could take on the hit even with support buffs. Thankfully she heard a cute voice, and before then she realized that someone had appeared in front of her.

"[ Cover Move ]! [ Cover ]!" With Kaede's sudden intervention of Kaede, Risa was saved from the brink of annihilation.

*Whoosh* There wasn't any metal grinding of the weapons, the weapon of the goblin commander vanished, she received the sweeping saber attack that was triple her height larger and four times larger than her shield.

Without being intimidated Kaede took the attack, The enemy's main weapon had overwhelming destructive powers but it was removed right after the fight had just begun.

The saber became light and disappeared. Risa's stupefied face quickly recovered before making a nice job hand sign.

"[ Multi-Fire Lance ]!" Gram on the other side used another wave of his spells after Risa had left, wanting to finish the fight quicker than before.

"Nice! Yosh...!! 45% HP remaining!" Risa approached the boss again, she knew the skill but she forgot its ability to obliterate things in the game.

Even the goblin commander could be confused at its weapon disappearance.

[ Cover Move ]!

To Risa who was speedily running, Kaede was able to keep up with the sudden acceleration. Kaede appeared at her side every time she used the skill.

The attack from the goblin didn't come, it approached the most damaging player in the group, Risa, while being surprised, followed the boss. Kaede also continued following Risa's footsteps.

"It's coming!" Gram said loudly. He fired another wave of spells, but he saved up some mana. The goblin commander arrived in front of him before it swung down its muscular arm together with a roaring sound, he was prompted to use [ Sonic Flash Step ] to move instantaneously to another place.

"[ Cover Move ]! Chance Sally!"

With the girls behind the goblin, Risa leaped in the air and jumped up it's back, she aimed at the goblin commander's head.

"[ Double Slash ]! [ Power Attack ]!" Her daggers flashily attacked it's back, five damage numbers appeared, the last being so damaging, the goblin commander immediately wiggled its body to throw her off, but it didn't affect her. Before then, it used it's hand and tried to slap her on its body but she easily retreated before it could attack her. The goblin commander had only 30% HP left.

Risa left it's back, and then, the goblin commanders turned around without notion, it won't easily let her approach it's back again. It quickly attacks the person in front of it. Now, it had it's front with Kaede, both approached each other and swung equally their weapons, and this time, the red-light in its eyes glimmered like fire.

"[ Shield Attack ]! [ Cover ]!" The goblin commander's left arm suddenly vanished, became light, and disappeared. The HP bar decreases tremendously again, only 15% HP was left.

As Kaede erased its arm, and as if it got more provoked, it followed up, wanting to hit her with its other arm. The goblin commander emitted a bright light around it. It recovered 10% of it's HP as its last move, it had gained more speed.

Instead of attacking her shield, the goblin commander swept it's right arm to her left, before then, she got thrown off. She didn't manage to cover the left side of her body assuming that it would attack in front so she slid off for some distance.

"Maple!"

The two times damage received demerit of the [ Cover Move ] seems to be affecting [ Light Barriers ] defensive capability, as 1000 LBP points quickly diminished making her surprised. As she got thrown off in a few meters, the goblin commander rushed again to her, with only one arm remaining. It seemed that she wasn't able to actively use the devour function without an accurate hit in her shield.

"Let's take this chance, Sally! Attack it from behind again!" Gram suddenly appeared in front of Kaede. He got a little worried about that, although he was just being a little protective. He knew she would be able to protect herself but still.

"[ Multi-Fire Flare ]! [ Fire Lance ]!"

At that moment Risa also used [ Super Acceleration ] before using several attack at it's open back, she didn't approach it near and just fired of several skills.

"[ Wind Cutter ]! [ Darkball ]! [ Fireball ]! [ Earth Cutter ]!" Risa attacked, before retreating again.

Ultimately, Kaede wasn't damaged in the slightest like what she expected, the superb defense power she had can be trusted. Ultimately it might be that she had a shield buffer before her shield took some damage, so overall, that attack should have defeated players in one-shot.

As even with their barrage, the goblin was somehow standing, probably because of its pride as the goblin boss. But it didn't last long, its huge body changed into shining lights and exploded.

Gram approached the recovered Kaede, as expected she didn't have any sad expression nor was disheartened. He smiled at her and rubbed her soft luscious hair.

"Good job! Your armor didn't break from that attack right? It was a little worrying but I knew you could take it on.." Gram said, he beckoned Risa to approach them as well.

Kaede sheepishly said. "Un! But… I was somewhat expecting it to get my equipment destroyed so it would trigger my [ Destruction Growth ], this still is okay!"

Risa said, unequipping her daggers before making sure her friend wasn't unhappy, she patted her shoulders, "Destruction Growth Huh… You know Knox, Maple might be the only person that can think like that~ still good work~!"

"Umm… I made a mistake earlier because I couldn't react fast enough, nevermind that~ Sally was so fast in the last phase of attack! I saw it and it was so cool!" Kaede said.

"Well surprise~! I gained a skill that increased my AGI by sixty. Though, I can't use it after 30 minutes, but… it's really good at situations like that, it's so good right?" Risa proudly harrumphed. Kaede looked at Gram and said with a happy look.

"As not giving me the chance of killing the monster, then you should actively praise Sally as well!!" Kaede announced, she grabbed Gram's hand and put it at Risa's head naturally, surprising the ash-brown haired girl again and again.

Risa tried to evade but she didn't have the chance, "Eh~! I don't-…" But Kaede insisted, his hands were after rubbing her head already, "Knox forgot to praise Risa well~ muhh! You contributed greatly to the fight too!" Kaede cutely said with a pout, and unable to decline her friend, she stopped insisting.

Gram laughed, "I did, we'll if you don't mind. We all did a very great job at the fight!"

"Hmmm… No one is stopping you." Risa blushed while lowering her head. He continued while they leverage the time to take some breather since they just finished the dungeon.

Risa wryly smiled remembering Kaede's weird skill earlier, "I forget to ask how weird Maple did earlier, it was so funny to use, you kept shouting the [ Cover Move ] name after all.."

"Yeah, it's amazing!" Gram nodded, approving the movement of the teleporting fortress girl.

"Weird movement, is it? It's a really great skill though, it allowed me to move as much while using it to reposition myself to attack! I just thought of using it like that!" Kaede said.

"The only one who can use it like that, and be able to deal decent damage, should be her alone ..." Risa chuckled, Kaede had done great damage when using [ Bizarre Eater ], it was also great at removing dangerous variables, anything that it touched had been removed from its existence.

In reality, if another large shield user was to copy what she did, he would probably sink after receiving two times the damage, they didn't have the damage negation she had.

He can choose to enhance his MP again or add more firepower which was both favorable for him, although it would be a lot better if he had much more mana to circulate. He might try to get more MP reducing skills after the event.

Risa answered, "Umu! I think of getting an attack skill that can augment with my speedy attacks. It would greatly increase my attack power, if they had something like that, Hehe…"

"We did it... It medals! In addition, two of them, there's two of them!" Kaede happily jumped. Gram wryly smiled at her display and looked at the weapon's description.
