The two girls didn't seem to care about the saber and we're only crazed on details pertaining about the medals. In the first place, they cannot equip the large saber, so it was natural that they weren't interested.

"If there are two medals per dungeon, then… there should be around 150 dungeons…? It's just my conjecture though, there might be field bosses or something.." Risa crossed her arms and thought. The likelihood of acquiring medals from a c.h.e.s.t or boss should be significantly higher than finding one laying around the surroundings.

Kaede answered, "Yes! It might be just because the dungeon had a strong boss, for instance like this one and that it only depends whether the dungeon boss is challenging or is a really strong boss! Other than that… something like, a secret hidden c.h.e.s.t that had no guardians around it… I think..."

"Well, there are many sources of medals in this event, don't worry we should have enough for the three of us." Gram clearly didn't want to think about it and just told them to be easy during this event.

"That's right!" Risa stopped minding it, she took the saber from him and looked at its specification.

"Uuo~… it's pretty much a brain-dead weapon~…" Risa guffawed at it's stats, with a slight ridiculing about it and additionally, they couldn't equip it since they all had a different type of weapon.

"How does it look?" Kaede curiously asked.

Risa answered with a shake of her shoulders. "It's a straightforward weapon for large-sword users but it can be easily destroyed due to its low durability, it's not a weapon for long-battle unless you have some tanking ability while able to dish out average damage yourself.. It had a commendable STR 75 though and two slots is good enough..." Risa said with a nonchalant expression.

Though, all of them thought it would be best to sell it for a large amount of gold, which wasn't a bad idea. "So we can't equip it, huh… it's a shame~" Kaede sighed.

"Hey girls, do you want to search for the next dungeon? There's a magic circle in the back of the throne." Gram said.

The two spotted where he was looking, Kaede immediately ran forward, feeling excited as usual, "Un! Let's find the next one! I wasn't able to use [ Hydra ] in this dungeon… the next time I will go all out!" With a pump of her fist.

"That depends on whether we can find one or not, I hope we can find one more.." Risa said.

After discussing, the trio stood on the magic circle. Thinking of Kaede's [ Bizarre Eater ] usage, it would be better using all of it in the next dungeon exploration since it would get refreshed after the day.

Towards the next dungeon, they have agreed to not limit using their skills anymore. Now in their perspective, the highlight of this event should be the dungeons and places to explore, not the player versus player fights.

The player to player fights mentioned should be held at the last days of the event, as it was a good time before players started to get desperate at wanting medals or when others started to hunt other players for medals which will naturally happen as the event progresses. When the light disappeared, they appeared at the grassland yet again, there wasn't any staircase on the ground anymore nor any goblins sighted in the area which was totally understandable.

The scout goblins before we're out of the site. Although, there's probably another dungeon in the grasslands but who knows where it is, they would rather scout other interesting areas.

"For our next move, we should head out of here… I suggest we speed up our pace!" Risa said, as currently, the green grass really prickles her eyes although she's ultimately only bored at looking in the endless expanse around her.

"Um, where do you think we should go. We don't have any specific direction to head to.." Kaede asked, looking at her friend's eyes with a slight confusion.

Risa wryly smiled and answered, pointing her finger towards a direction, it was the direction where she remembered when they entered the place. At least she knew where they appeared from. "Just forward I guess... There we saw those flying beasts right? It should be the best path to other areas like mountains or a forest for example. It shouldn't be all just grasslands, the hue of mountains that we saw on the starting place signifies it, it shouldn't take us long to reach when running."

"Well, that is true!" After their agreement. Gram took Kaede on his back and they glided on the windy grasslands. With Risa in front, the trio speedly ran straight towards the direction they left before they entered the goblin dungeon.

He kept on using [ Perception ] on short bursts, used it to look around for interesting things, they ran fast through the grassland before they saw a forest up ahead. As expected with their estimation, it took them one hour to reach the edge of the grasslands beyond which were a congregation of trees, specifically a forest.

When they reached the border of the forest, he stopped the two girls before they could enter the ominously large forest with towering trees. It was when they approached the forest, while during that, something managed to catch his attention.

With a bluish-flaming eye, he saw several little slimes, and unbelieving or not, are probably guarding a normal looking tree they surrounded. With just a minimal difference, anyone won't notice a small spiral logo carved on its body.

Additionally, the slimes were in the bushes, near the tree's so unless you have a detection, players won't easily identify this small detail. Most people won't detect that the tree was three inches in the grassy plains, with other trees lined up, others won't notice a thing. Luckily, the slimes aura were a give away, that was why he can spot the scene.

"What is it? Did you see something?" Risa stopped and glanced at him, she looked at where he's looking.

Gram answered seriously while rubbing his chin, he pointed at the tree. "I spotted a spiraling hue of mana at that tree, it should be an entrance to another place. There are some guarding monsters below… There... But, they don't seem to be hostile, they have a normal blue hue unlike other monsters."

As he pointed, a slime popped out of the bushes bouncing a few centimeters up and mindlessly started walking about, like it was playing or something, it had a funny looking face which could be considered as cute.

Kaede who had spotted the slime immediately got more energetic, and she slowly approached the blue jello monsters, "Ahh~ it's just a normal blue slime! Ahh! They look so harmless munyu~ munyu.."

As she said, but it was at that moment that she saw more slime bouncing around, the slime didn't seem to be disturbed, nor care about her, as it was announced on it's name [ Blue Slime Lv: 1 ], it clearly didn't have any attack ability.

Kaede loomed towards step by step, she sat beside the tree and held one slime in her hands. The slime had a (3) smile on its face. It didn't turn hostile when she held it firmly. With that, she effectively got attuned and became a loving girl.

Looking closely, the slime's body is of a decorated jello but all of them had an emoji face, additionally, they were firm and solid. They didn't leave any watery goo or any remnants and just made a 'kwuii', 'kwuii' sound that made her scream internally.

"Wah! It's so cute! Mmm~ They are cool and refreshing to touch~ Hey, don't congregate too much… Knox! Risa! Come here and try holding them, they are absolutely cute!" Kaede saw more slime cuddled around her and beckoned at them. A slime was up at her head with a dozing expression, the others advanced as well.

Risa ang Gram glanced at each other with a wry smile. With Kaede's proactiveness, all slimes gathered around, she wasn't bothered, she got more thrilled as many slimes seem to have liked her. "It's not dangerous there?" Risa asked.

Gram replied with a shake of his shoulder and said, "I don't know, they have a blue indicator, so I guess it's safe. Nevermind, we don't have to be that cautious, look at her enjoying herself already." Kaede was already juggling two blue slimes while they sounded out with their cute sound that felt like a mewl of a cat.

They both approached and sat beside Kaede, she passed slimes on their hands.

"The hint on this matter should be on the slime themselves." Gram said while cupping one slime on his hand.

"Pwuii!"

Risa touched the slime like pressing a button, "Umu… If you say so, but we still have to figure out how... Is there any specific thing on what you see right now? For example, an indication, slimes with not so normal patterns won't be just regular slimes. Ultimately, this batch isn't hostile in the first place."

Gram nodded and looked around again, he didn't notice it earlier, but now he could see a dim light on every slime's forehead here, holding a slime on the level of his eyes, he saw something new.

"Huh?"

"Pwuii?"

He began comparing, but didn't see any differences. There were mostly only ten blue slimes in the surrounding and all of them appeared to have gained a symbol on their forehead.

The majority congregated around Kaede while they seemed to enjoy her happy and caring personality. The slime he was holding isn't so different, as it had a dozing expression while he touched it's top, he put it on his shoulder.

"There's a symbol, a small bluish symbol on every slime, I saw a similar one on the tree trunk.. So is it a puzzle? It should be..." Gram, with a stick, draws the symbol on the ground, it looks like an indication of a dungeon entrance.

"The key is the slime? I don't have any idea on what to do with them though.. Maybe.." Risa contemplated. They took the time to figure it out, but they couldn think of a plan.

Suddenly, in one moment that all blue slimes emitted a bright light. "Pwuiii!" sounded from all the slime synchronously. They started floating, the slimes he was holding also gathered.

The blue slimes started rotating towards the tree he was talking about earlier.

"Did you do anything Maple about the slimes?" Gram asked. He wasn't able to pay attention since he was thinking of how to find the secret. He was just rubbing it's head earlier and he didn't think of a way it would be the key to unlock something.

"Iyaaah~... I just fed them. I just had a sudden thought of wanting to make them larger~.. Ha-ha… I just wanted to feed them." Kaede rubbed her head, feeling a little embarrassed.

Kaede heard her companions exclaiming. "Wait! Maybe it's a good thing! You know~.."

Risa grinned, "The key might be to befriend the slimes? If it's like it then, there's no need to worry."

"Hmm? What is happening? Are they summoning other slimes or something?" Kaede looked confused. Before then, they saw the blue slimes spiraling around the tree until they looked supersonic. It seems they were conjuring something, as a teleportation gate appeared on the body of the tree.

The blue slimes stopped spinning around, although now, they looked more like a phantom but they now looked different, as all of them had a pair of wings with different facial expressions.

"Pwui..", "Pwui", "Pwui", "Pwui", "Pwui!", "Pwui!" A blue slime floated towards Kaede and seemingly started speaking towards her. It seems like it was the representative of the pack.

"You can talk! That's amazing… Umu… What!? Yes! Yes! We will help!" Kaede looked serious towards one of the seemingly the eldest slime that had a mustache on its face.

Kaede looked at her companions, "I can hear the slimes! They said, to help them release their friends in the kingdom! It's sad though, I won't be able to touch them anymore..."

"It's just a coincidence right?" Risa looked, slightly bewildered but quickly removed it on her face.

"Haven't you experienced it before?" Gram rolled his eyes. Risa blushed at his seriousness.

"I guess. Ha-ha… Though, this is good for us.. More dungeons means more medals..." Risa looked to the side, she walked towards Kaede to get some explanation.

The winged phantom slime's default expression suddenly made a glad and relaxed expression. All of them became light, they gathered around before they vanished.

"Noooo! Slime-tachi!! We have only met!" Kaede shouted. She seemed to be affected by the 'dramatic' event. She had tears in her eyes when she looked at the two, given that she also had some experience with other dramatic cute moments.

As from what Kaede explained from them, the slimes only act as the guardian of the dungeon. They were thankful that the trio weren't the aggressive bunch. Even told her that they had rewards at them when they rescued their other bunch.

They didn't enter the portal, as he wanted to pacify his girl. After some seconds, she recovered with a serious expression.

"Nnn… I will help them, relieve their pain!" Kaede proclaimed. The task given by the slimes was to liberate the corrupted slimes under the dungeon boss of their kingdom.

The trio entered the portal at the tree, and as they entered, the portal disappeared, and before they noticed it, they appeared at a darker green entrance in front of a gate. The place seemed abandoned but up above, they could see a large structure of hill like place, it looked to be so gross as some places looked like gooey.

Risa didn't have much sensitivity towards smelling since she turned it so low as it's unneeded but she could tell the place would smell disgusting due to the coloration of everything in here.

Kaede and Gram, was disensitize towards smelling so they were ultimately unaffected.

[ Corrupted Slime Kingdom ]

"Ughh, this looks a little disgusting.." Risa looked around, the dark-green coloration on the walls, the floor looks like it was bouncy or gooey but it wasn't.

"To think even a level one monster would have a big dramatic lore..." Gram wryly thought of it.

"I will try to purify this place! Slime-tachi, don't worry!" Kaede pumped her fist up above, she readied her shield with motivated and ready to battle expression.
