That Time I Played A VRMMORPG.

Gram wanted to improve his defense better. As monster could still easily broke his high VIT when he's overwhelmed. One example was during the fight earlier when he was fighting the earth rats and the other same level monsters. Although, the majority of the damage had been negated, the remaining damage were 'pure' like a 'true' damage. He thought, monsters might had an ability to improve and somewhat penetrate defense, it seem to be the same for every monsters.

Higher leveled monster probably had innate armor breaking effect when they attack physically to deal at least even the most least damage. As his case, just even getting hit by 1 HP was so detrimental due to his meager overall 20 HP

"If they just overpowered my VIT... Ugh, I could surely be one-shotted."

Gram perspired but quickly calmed himself while looking at the current 180 VIT he had.

"[ Nature Gift ] sure had it's few bad sides, but luckily, I have another skill to compensate it." Gram prepared as he sat on the ground and used [ Spell Creation ].

Gram imagined being able to manipulate light to create thin, barriers that could protect both him or allies.

The ability to manipulate visible light, commonly referred as light. Spell damage, radius and effectiveness could be enhance by incorporating additional MP.

The user can create shield around the user to stop attacks. 100 MP per cast. The barrier could be stacked up to 10 times. One barrier could absorb up to 100 damage, lasting until broken.

"Okay, this should do it. Let's test it out, [ Light Barrier ]! [ Light Barrier ]! [ Light Barrier ]!" Gram stood up and used the spell with his staff. Immediately, a colorless magical membrane erected around him. Like a bubbles, refracted a beautiful coloration of lights from the light sources nearby.

"I should fully stack it before continue moving on."

Gram used all MP, and with [ Transcendental Meditation ] passive MP regeneration. He was able to cast out 10 [ Light Barrier ] in just 8 minutes.

The difference between this elemental barrier unlike normal one was it is a lot thinner, it only encompassed the player body and didn't look gaudy or you where surrounded by a bubble rather looking at it was mesmerizing because of the color refraction it gave against light.

The ten stacked barrier but only the coloration of the refraction got deeper which made it seem like his skin was glowing. Although, he didn't notice it himself.

"Yosh~ Let's go!" He stood up and swaggered along the way.

He saw an earthen double door at the end of the pathway.

"Owee~ Looks like I'm near clearing out this dungeon." Gram checked out his status before continuing on.

Gram put a little force to the ancient door and opened it. The door opened itself the moment of his slightest touch.

With a sound of metal grind, the door opened like it's had so much rust on its hinges.

Looking Inside the room, he saw a hallowed wide-area cave similar to the areas he walk pass to reach here.

Just a b.a.r.e soil ground, there were stalactites, and the smallest ones are 5-meter longs. The place is wide and at the far center, there's was a little depression he couldn't clearly see.

"Let me use my [ Perception ] pretty quick." He used the skills as the color of everything turns blue.

From his vision, there was a big mass of gold colored monster hiding beneath. It made him sweat a little.

"So that's the Earth Wyvern? That should be the boss of this dungeon." Gram calmed himself and fully entered the room.

"Let's do this." Pumping more courage and focus as he buffed himself with esteem so he's at the best condition.

He didn't use [ Sensory Enhancement ] since he doesn't know what type of boss he would face.

"Alas walking like this is making me a little tense."

The door closed with momentum. He didn't mind the closing door behind as he carefully surveyed the surrounding of the hole.

With that question to himself, as he reached a line that felt like the monster detection range, a scream erupted from the hole. A lizard-like head appeared from the hole with red-light in its eyes before disappearing.

"T-That's the Earth Wyvern?! It's a little more intimidating than I thought! It's so large!!"

*Gruoooooo~!!!!* An earth-shattering sounded as its humongous body appeared in front of the hole. It was really an earth-colored bi-pedaled monster with wings with a barbed tail typically known as a dragon or wyvern.

The dragon looked at him menacingly. Gram gulped while he saw from his interface that made him a little weary.

"That's too much a gap for a solo dungeon, doesn't anyone think? And that's so much HP!" While not having someone to talk, Gram tsukkomi as he grip his beginner staff.

He clearly didn't underestimate, even if he die now, he knew that boss monsters had so much of a advantage. But he also had many skills as repertoire, so it wasn't that he wasn't readily prepared of anything.

In that quick moment, the Earth Wyvern spread its wings as many blue magic circles appeared in the vicinity behind it's massive body.

Countless massive mud-balls appeared building upon each magic circle. Before then, the Earth Wyvern performed out it's grandest bullet hell.

"Oh no, [ Wind Acceleration ]!" Gram put over 350MP to boost his speed to 32 AGI plus the passive of [ Giant Killer ] to 64 AGI. He was so much faster than any enhancement he had before.

He gulped one Low MP potion to recover 200MP instantly. Next he used [ Perception ] to see prediction lines to try dodge the incoming mud-ball around while he also used [ Fire Bullet ] every MP refill he use.

Mud-balls was thrown at his direction, it was unending, countless and massive. Getting hit too much by it might cause death. But, as long his barrier hold out, he could out live this wave of attack.

The difference between [ Slowness ] and [ Enc.u.mbered ] debuff is that [ Slowness ] only lowered a percentage of his AGI while [ Enc.u.mbered ] totally disabled all of his AGI unless he remove all of the stones that is currently sticking on his body.

The combo effectively crippled all his AGI, so now he returned back to being as slower than an aged turtle.

Even the eldest turtles were faster than him. He felt his heart beat rapidly as he saw the barrier getting peppered.

Luckily, he gained resistance in just time making him able to dodge some mud-ball. He was able to move for some spaces diminishing the damage.

" I feel that this Earth Wyvern is stuck on this first phase? Well~ Being able to grind the resistance's skill seems to be worth it."

He didn't know if it could damage him with his VIT. He kept maintained his barrier as he waited for it's other attack.

Maybe, if he just asked players at the town, he might get the information to plan out a fight. But he needs to deal with alone, he didn't want to party up. The debuff seems it will persist until he killed the boss. The mud ball pelting persisted until all the magic circles disappeared.

"At last! An attack pattern change!" With another resounding scream, the monstrous Earth Wyvern turned around as its barbed tail suddenly grew larger.

It pointed it's larger snaky sharp tail towards him. He felt a foreboding feeling as he used his trump-card he had been holding for.

The changes to the Earth Wyvern only took three seconds and during that time, he quickly gulped down the last two MP potions.

Then at the last second quickly then used [ Power Augmentation ], putting all 400MP as the fuel and choosing VIT as the recipient.

He didn't have time to check the skill as the Wyvern swung its grown tail towards him with a fast momentum.

Gram body emitted a spark of red-like hue when the tail hit him. As his [VIT 180] got enhanced up to [VIT 530] and with [ Giant Killer ] passive quickly boosted his status when he's fighting alone resulting to [VIT 1060], it was so much that it couldn't even land meager damage to him.

In addition, he was able to stop stumbling when he got hit with it's massive tail for the second time. Having a high VIT had a large probably of not being knock-back backed, but it won't stop all of physical and magical attack damage, at least be able to make him back of for a little bit.

He activated the [ Transcendental Meditation ] for the third time in the fight. And with five seconds, his MP quickly refilled and so he successively used [ Fire Bullet ] again.

"What a killer combo, de-buffing and attacking at this speed! Anyone would have died if they don't have large VIT or a healer support. Pew~"

A 'pam' booming sound recurred many times. The Earth Wyvern got so confused why this human isn't going down. It kept hitting it, but it didn't vanish. It even felt it laughing at him.

After firing another wave of [ Fire Bullet ], he felt that the Earth Wyvern was getting more and more angry and might be going to do something different.

"You can't kill me, dumb dragon. Hmm, let's see this skill I just gained."

The user will gain a passive shield equal to the percent of the owner's VIT.. Recovery of shield is 1 BP every 1 second, gets stronger when the shield get broken. Current Max: 100 BP. When the barrier got broken a 5 minute cool-down will apply.

"What a skill to have! Look's to be a skill fit for Kaede, mah~ she will get it eventually or I can just help her gain one."

Another angry roaring resounded as the howl from the Earth Wyvern. It's because of getting called a dragon, it's hated that species aside from its glorious Wyvern family.

At last, it turned around, and a large magic circle appeared on its foothold. In that instant, spike's of earth appeared in front of the Earth Wyvern and headed towards him. It's radius is big, but slow albeit it a little slow and any speed-types can easily shuttle around it.

"Pew~ No worries- it's new attack didn't penetrate my defenses. My heart just skip for a moment. Don't surprise me like that!"

While the cave's system is getting destroyed. He saw that he still isn't dead or damage yet.

"That was terrifying. Ugh~ Can you stop de-buffing me?"

While the earth spikes didn't damage him, but he felt his legs cramp and close. As he felt imagining the pains it could give if it spiked his crotch.

"What am I a pervert?!" Gram removed the thought in an instant and move his focus to the monster again.

Every second his MP regenerated thank to his [ Transcendental Meditation ]. The skill had only little cool-down and he could cycle it every two minutes while only disabling sense that deemed useless like tasting or smelling.

Gram didn't wait any further as he slowly walk, swaggering straight toward the furious Earth Wyvern. He didn't have any movement speed right now, but he was able to walk.

In two minutes, he reached the bottom of the Earth Wyvern. It was at that time that he felt that he could move faster.

He already planned to do this, Kaede told him. He currently had 1 hour of time dealing with the Earth Wyvern.

Gram felt that the Earth Wyvern got a little bit, just tiny bit cuter. "Hm well, I could try it. He~he.. Sorry Earth Wyvern-san~ I'm not be able to put you out of your misery faster~."

Right, fortunately, it is rest day tomorrow. He could take a lot of time slowly. The Earth Wyvern used it's super mud-ball attack again.

His [ Slowness ] got stack and slowed him. His AGI dropped again to one digit, but he was still faster than before.

The Earth Wyvern made no additional actions, no other than the three moves it did before. Rather, it benefited him because it kept on attacking him, grinding [ Slowness ] debuff pitifully.

Gram was already below its gigantic feet. he placed his palms together and bowed.

"Thanks for the food! Wait, can I toast it for a moment?"

He grabbed at its foot and tried [ Fireball ] at it's skin, but it didn't leave any scorch marks seemingly unchangeable.

"Oh well... nom.. nom.. it's taste like a little like a little dirtied meat but it had a weird flavour."

After observing and chomping to different places, he found out that the part that he ate made some damage and didn't grow back.

It supposed to maintain it's skin like in all types of interactable games. But, this time, it's not able to recover like the code programmed to it.

"Is it because it's on my stomach already? Well~ Rather, is it because, eating is like a vampire thing, a type of mechanic but just not discovered by players? Hmmm~~"

It felt weird to taste the monster, but for the sake of experimentation, he proceeded.

He removed his sense of taste in every two minutes at the [Transcendental Meditation ] cool-down refresh. The sound of eating, *Mogu*, *Mogu*, sounded, but it was getting deafened by the roaring sound in the background.

It is weird if someone saw a girl eating a hydra, but seeing a male eating a wyvern was a lot stranger. Although, he looked cool he still would be called a cannibal ikemen that like fresh meat.

Gram eyes had an illusion of happiness from the Earth Wyvern howls and cries. It made him a little excited.

"What do you do now? Earth-Dragon-san. Nom... nom... It seems to be working... Now, it only have 1/4 of HP left huh?"

Gram only had 30 minutes on his invulnerable state and thought he didn't have time to mess around anymore. After removing big chunk of its health, he applied [ Wall of Fire ] around his body, and boosted the spell with more MP.

Using the natural [ Perception ] vision, he started looking for a weakness at the blue-colored mana vision.

"My deductions were right! He~he." Gram grinned as he saw the type of coloration he rarely saw before, it's the reddish hue unique to weapons and gears. It is in the center of the massive golden hue of the Earth Wyvern.

The blue colored representation of mana it had seems to flow towards it. He heard another ping that made him grin.

His eating seems to make the Earth Wyvern more enraged, but it couldn't do anything until he reached its rib bones.

He was already inside of it's body. "I'm probably dealing a lot more damage to it now. Let's keep this up! Nom.. Nom..."

Seeing the Earth Wyvern dropping HP like mad, it made him a lot motivated as he ate more.

It is kinda weird getting motivated eating it's flesh. In the last moments, he was able to approach the red coloration from before. The Earth Wyvern crystal heart.

The heart is embedded deep in its flesh, after eating the part of its rib-bones, he put his face inward and dangled at it like a parasite.

"So this is its heart? Maybe the mana crystal? Let's just eat it! Nom... it crispy like but it taste like an apple~ Nom.. Sweet."

Aside from savoring the taste, it didn't take long before the Earth Wyvern howled with despair as it collapsed and vanished in the hollowed wrecked place with anguish like it had been betrayed by it's comrade.

"Ahh~ What a rude monster." Gram fell on his b.u.t.t, removing the dust on his clothes. He saw many pop-ups in front of him. A magical transporter magic circle shining with light appeared at the back of the area.

And in the place in front of him, a large treasure box is shining, beckoning at him with it's splendid goodness.

Both debuffs had reached Immunity level. )

As usual, his [Nature Gift] had placed all 10 status points to INT alongside the gained side merit to his VIT. It seems eating counts as an HP drain and hey, it's doubtful that other players like would try and do it.

He knew it might have given him some HP but he wasn't damage by the Earth Wyvern in the slightest. The penalty of dying is 6 days in the game time. It was equivalent to 1 day on real-life which will suck, and he 's not stupid to test it out.

It's clear that what he did was not the normal way to fight, but it seems to be effective. It just that the player had to have a massive amount of VIT or some kind of barrier that can block all of its damage for a long time.

"It might be a skill inheritance for monster eaters, chimera or vampires, but why the AI had left that as an available thing for the players?"

It also made him question, if the developers wanted balance of the game. It's clear that what he did was a game mechanic, he just used it, it's just it's was kind of like brainless because if they really want balance, why would they left it out like that or even add it in the first place.

"A dumb thing but a benefit to those who knew~ Luckily, my easy going sweetheart tends to think smartly." He softly sighed while remembering Kaede's tender looking and loving face.

While in party it really wasn't difficult to fight the Earth Wyvern with preparations. As removing its debuff had already crippled its way of attacking and vice versa, the way of damaging.

Earth Spike, after all, is a little slow even if it had a big radius and its tail can be tank by many tank players who had healers at their backs. They don't even had to move, what use does it's debuff would do to a fully prepared player as they bombard it with range attacks. Unless, solo players tried, they won't be able to experience the horror of 0 AGI.

And adding that who would purposely do things like him, eating monsters? It was just the two of them or will continue for many years to come? Surely? He nodded, thought so. Continuing, he checked the newly gained skills.

Just like what she told him, it seems he will gain the eater skill when he ate something.

Combination Magic: Use all spell at once - ( Low ), ( Medium ) ( High ) - 200 MP, 400MP and all MP. Wyvern Form. 1 day cool-down.

Eating MP crystals will give skill owner's a percentage of INT and some the devoured creature abilities.

Seeing this, he chuckled. "He~he, it's just compatible with my existing skill. AoE skills are the best in RPG games. Moreover, I don't have to use creation for Earth Magic, it already gave a available spells to use."

There's no problem spamming slow magic to enemies even if they had dispelled magic on them, he had several crowd control skill so it's not a problem.

Unless they had a very powerful dispel that could be used without limit. With his MP right now, he can just use them willy-nilly. He bet not everyone could have this much spells in the current state of the game.

"I can gain more MP if I eat more monsters? Iyah~h... There's no helping it." Gram cross his arms on the back of his shoulder.

Also, it seems that [Earth Wyvern] doesn't have cool-downs and only required MP. He smiled in satisfaction as he rubbed his chin.

"What a perfect skill for me! Let's not neglect the most precious thing~" In the back of his eyes, the glittering existence of the treasure box paused his thoughts for a moment before he approached it.

It is quite large rectangular box that had a dimension of 3 width, and 2 meters high. It was his first treasure box. He had been killing before but they rarely dropped anything good.

With nervousness and excitement, his heartbeat out loud and wishing it to be the exact thing he wanted to see.

"Be unique, unique."

Slowly raising its cover and checked what's inside with a lean. And boy, his expectation didn't go to waste.

"Oh!!! Nice! Nice!"

He nodded with some excitement. Inside was a black-based robe, it had a light grey big scarf around the neck. It had a complex design of buttons and a belt, it's pointed ends styled cool. It seemed like an attire of an moderately arrogant mage perfectly suited to his taste.

It was really cool and it just fit his taste, because he wanted to cover his mouth like what it represented. At the side, a similar black shoes that had the same color as the black overall complemented the design.

He looked at the next item, a glove in the same black color palette. At the back of the gauntlet, there was a cool intricate magical array while a connecting white ling tracing towards the finger tips. At the back handle of the gloves, there were seemed to be a slotting for gem as a triangular patterns around a white box. The inner part seems to be just a full colored black.

He didn't want to be a wizard that had baggy clothes and all, moreover; he wanted to be cooler and stylish. One more thing is that he didn't like staff and all, so it's a boon that he could use a glove as a mage item.

Gloves were also a main weapon but it wasn't available as the basic one, if you had a specific weapon that could be swapped for it, you would be able to use it, an example is a staff and knuckles, available in the character creation. Although, if you get specific accessories that could extend equipment to specific slots for hand then you won't be able to equip both.

Additionally, there's an ancient black-bordered emblem laying down on the side, it looks cool with its design but is nothing compared to the outfit and the staff. Although it's effect might be just as good as the other gears.

"Let see!"

With the prompt, the equipment got placed towards his inventory. He looked at it before cl.i.c.k.i.n.g for the explanations.

The black-bordered mirror is on his hand and returning it to his belt, it returned to its emblem size.

It looked like just a reflective complex emblem if you don't use it although, it's original mirror look isn't that stylish.

His white hair and look changed to a quite a cool looking one. Looking at the mirror he had, he saw his composed and made a straight sharp look.

He posed coolly for a moment or two before he returned by using the magic circle out of the dungeon.

He got teleported to the beginner's town fountain where he spawned from before. The moment he appeared someone quickly saw his rather outlandish outfit.

"Who's that? He looks nice with that outfit. What a lucky guy~" It was like wearing the best clothes to the public, as all players who had an interest wearing a cool-looking outfit found their eyes looking at his composed sharp visage.

Really, adding that muffler gave too much of the mysterious vibe and with the white refreshing hair it made it more that he looked like a person cosplaying while perfectly catching every details.

By using MP, the gear repairs itself and casting powerful high tiered spells using the equipment will boost MP regeneration and grows INT as you used it. MP repairing is done by giving variable MP based on the required MP of the [ Unique Series ]

Used by Infusing one player's skill to a gear. The equipment will gain the skill, and the skill will get removed from the skill list of the player.

They player is able to infused skill with varying times a day without MP consumption. Slots get released every 15 levels, the skill will vanish once the player remove it from the skill slot, be warned!

"Nice effects, although, it's unchangeable once you done it. The good thing is that it can get stronger with a [ Unique Series ] gear making it that you don't have to give up the skill even if you reach the latter levels. Hmm..." Gram seriously think while rubbing his chin.

"[ Earth Wyvern ] have much skill and with that full blown full MP cast, could effectively became another trump card with my [ Spell Creation ] it won't really matter much as I could make new ones."

Gram thought for a moment before he infused [ Earth Wyvern ] to his staff [ Mystic Storm Gloves ] without hesitation.

"How do I use Mirrors? Ahh!" Gram rubbed the emblem while he searched to the internet. What does mirror type side weapons functions and do in fights.

He could only think of using mirrors as a reflection type tool being able to reflect damage.

Attack: Reflect damage back from the attacker with double the damage they did. Can't reflect attacks higher than user's STR or INT.

Support: Use the mirror to hold trap skill or spell and use it for later. All mirror can hold one skill at a time. Can't trap attacks higher than user's STR or INT.

"I see so that's how you use it, how convenient. Let's trap a skill later, I had something to try out."

With this, more DPS got added to his arsenal, and it made him more and just literal broken. He chuckled and relaxed to see the virtual sun shining towards him happily.
