The Akuma

After a while the woman had changed into sport type clothes for a better range of movement as she knew Akuma was here to investigate and not waste time, she looked dashing to the eyes though Furuichi paid her no heed as he said in a low pitched tone, "Do you suffer from Acrophobia, Nagasawa Shiina-san?"

The woman hearing this vehemently opposed by shaking her head, "I see..."

After that the two walked towards the balcony ready to head to their destination, when on the balcony Nagasawa suddenly grabbed onto his c.h.e.s.t as she hugged him from his neck not letting go, "Hey what're you doing let go and stop holding me so tight."

But regardless of whatever I said she didn't let go as she clung even tighter, seeing this I couldn't be bothered with her clinging so with one leap I was up in the air as flames started to spew out from my legs pushing me to my destination.

"I thought you weren't scared of heights Nagasawa..."

Even though I said this she clung onto me tighter as she closed her eyes shut, as we headed our way and each time we moved she opened her eyes to point at where the mutants were.

And finally we had arrived at the place that being Fubuki River, as I landed down to the ground softly as to not hurt Shiina-san, "Akuma-san, I'm not sure of the situation here but after an article I did here I saw the mutant cat and took a picture knowing that you'd show up to help solve the problem."

It seemed that Shiina-san thought of me as some noble and valiant warrior fighting for the sake of justice and all those who are good, it seemed she believed me to be the embodiment of justice as she stared at me with sparks in her eyes.

If only she knew, if only she knew that I was merely a highschooler who had been chosen by some cosmic entity as his heir, and was in fact an otaku or weeb, one who loved watching anime and manga with a passion so much so that he believed he could be a superhero.

'Thinking about it I haven't been to Akihabara in a while I'll go after this is sorted and I haven't even paid school any heed, I'll seriously have to go and study properly or else I won't have the funds to create my own machinery, weapons and armour currently I'm relying on Shiori but I know that to get what I need I'll have actually go out and meet up with different businesses selling different components and such so going to school and graduating is good as I'll have plenty of links with others.'

"Hello Akuma-san, are you okay?"

Asked Shiina-san gently and politely as she tried to look through my masks visor yet she couldn't see anything, it seems she was generally worried, it seems she had a thing for me, but whatever I nodded to show that I was fine.

"Listen Nagasawa-san I'm not sure of the situation with these mutant beasts, but this has to be checked out for the safety of the people and I would appreciate it if you would give full cooperation within this task."

After this I turned towards her saying, "Understood?"

She nodded as she replied back, "I'll definitely help Akuma-san to the best of my ability for the sake of the people and for justice."

It seemed that most women did admire the confident and strong type though I could be wrong, as Shiina-san morphed her expression into that of seriousness.

'Shiori, can you go over the cities database for Fubuki River, any recent accidents and such...'

I've picked up a recent doc.u.ment from Kurama City Police Department that was closed off and marked with the word 'Koken' meaning Guardianship and it seems that the case is abnormal of sorts through this I checked more and found that all these abnormal cases have the mark of 'Koken' it might be related to them Master and be careful I'll send you some images.]

'Fubuki River, why would this all originate from here, last time they reported from here it was about a mauled human corpse and judging by the image Shiori sent me it looks to be that of a lion's victim as the scratch and length and width of the wound matches only that of lions, but the picture that Shiina-san showed me was that of a cat that looked demonic, meaning that some sort of mutations have gone through them yes that explains it if I gained this power why couldn't others gain the same.'

As I moved closer and closer to the river I saw that a drainage system was in place near me and it was covered by some red viscous liquid too thick to be human blood yet smelt like animal blood.

Seeing this sight I knew that this was the cause to it all as the blood seemed to have been dropped recently as it was still warm and liquid like not having dried yet, I turned to Shiina-san at this point as I said, "It's time to go home for you thank you for the tip but I think it's best you return home Nagasawa, what about it?"

Hearing this she seemingly got angry as her eyes widened with her brows tensing up, "No I want to go in and see the true reason of the mysterious deaths occuring, and aren't you Akuma Kurama Cities guardian devil and defender?"

"I'm sure I'll be fine with you please I need to see this I want to see what is killing innocent people, the kids the elderly the parents why are they mysteriously disappearing it makes no sense, so please Akuma-san I request you to let me go with you!!"

"Fine but under the conditions that you don't touch anything that looks dangerous and stay by my side, I wouldn't want you dying on my hands now would I."

"Whatever just remember to stay close!"

As I bent down and with my heightened strength I ripped the drainage cover from the ground and dived straight in, because of my armour I didn't smell anything unpleasant but for Shiina-san all she smelt was human feces I felt sorry for her but she wanted to come it's not my problem.

As she leaped down next but because I was the warrior of the cosmos the fall didn't hurt me though it was another story for her so I jumped up and grabbed her before elegantly landing not making a single sound due to my abilities and once there I produced some flames in front as a torch of sorts.

And so we walked forward while Shiina-san couldn't really see clearly, "Akuma-san do you have better senses than ordinary humans?"

"Yes" was my curt reply as I put a finger to her mouth to say 'shush' and it seemed not much water was here surprisingly, as suddenly in front of my flames I saw a figure move while I head the sound of drool dripping down onto the ground.

"Pitter, Patter, Drip Drop... Drip Drop!"

I could feel it something was in front as I used my fire to see even clearer and I was right a figure win the darkness was moving forward every time it moved an inch a loud noise was heard and this was frightening Shiina-san though she tried to maintain her composure.

'Akuma-san will protect me! He's the symbol of hope within Kurama City, he'll definitely sort this problem and find a solution after all... where there's a will there's a way! Right?!'
