When Qu Xing Xu heard Wu Xuanyi confess her love to him, his face didn't change. Instead, it got darker and even colder. 

He silently stared at Wu Xuanyi as if her position as a human was degraded into a worm, crawling and struggling on the ground. 

His silence, however, was taken by Wu Xuanyi in another form. For her, his silence was his consent, and the dark look in his eyes indicated that he was enticed by her charm. 

Usually, men wouldn't be able to ignore a woman's charm no matter how much they loved someone else for as long as the woman before them was beautiful, graceful, and innocent. And at this moment, Wu Xuanyi was showing all these traits combined together.

Not only that, she was using a necklace that was given to her by her mother, which she received from a monk. Wu Xuanyi's mother told her that the necklace's charm was highly potent and useful to attract a man's attention. 

Once a man was under the enchanting spell of the necklace, they wouldn't be able to avoid falling for the wearer of the necklace even if their hearts already belonged to someone else.

At first, Wu Xuanyi didn't believe her mother's words and thought that she would use her own charm and talent to get Qu Xing Xu's attention, but alas, the latter didn't even look in her way and married Lin Xiaofei.

How could Wu Xuanyi, the woman who worked so hard to take this man so he could be hers, give him to others?

And so, Wu Xuanyi decided to use the necklace when she found a chance. 

And now was the perfect moment to use it!

"Brother Xing Xu... I really like you." Wu Xuanyi continued confessing her feelings for Qu Xing Xu. "Ever since I first saw you, my eyes have been watching you. I really didn't want this to happen, too, since we treat each other as brothers and sisters. However, even Brother Jiang, Brother Zixuan, and Brother Yandi thought that we were a perfect match for each other."

"So, why did you marry someone else? Someone who doesn't even know who you are." Wu Xuanyi took a step closer to Qu Xing Xu.

While she was rambling about her feelings to him, Qu Xing Xu was not affected by the necklace's charm. He was, after all, not a complete human.

However, he still felt the aura coming from the necklace and tried to pinpoint where it was precisely pouring out. 

When he sensed Wu Xuanyi coming closer, he didn't stop her as he wanted to know where the charm was coming from. And when Wu Xuanyi was three steps away from him, he finally found it and stared at the necklace hanging around her neck. 

His eyes slowly went down to see the stone pendant hanging on the chain that was faintly pouring out a red-colored aura. It was so faint that he nearly didn't notice it if Wu Xuanyi didn't come close to him. This only proved that the person who attached such an aura was extremely weak and not at all an expert.

"Brother Xing Xu?" Wu Xuanyi hesitated as she stared into his eyes. He hasn't spoken a word ever since she started talking. However, she comforted herself by thinking that Qu Xing Xu was probably heavily affected by the charm and had already fallen in love with her.

"Brother Xing Xu... you do like me too, right?"

She probed further and was excitedly anticipating the other to say 'yes' even under the spell of the charm.

"Which eye did you see me like you?"

However, her wishful thinking was pierced through by the tremendous and overwhelming aura that was oozing out from Qu Xing Xu's body. 

Wu Xuanyi didn't know if her eyes were playing with her, but the moment Qu Xing Xu spoke, and she felt the sickening aura coming from him, it seemed that she saw a purplish-black smoke or haze surrounding her. 

But because she was too caught up in his words, she didn't pay any attention to what she had just seen. The purplish-black haze also disappeared as soon as it appeared in her eyes.

However, what she didn't know was that the reason why she could no longer see the haze or smoke was that the range of it was already spreading throughout the entire room, leaving no space or tiny spot untouched. 

So, it was only natural that she wouldn't be able to see it.

"But isn't it true? Brother Xing Xu, you don't have to lie. My heart is yours, even if you're already married. There's no need for you to hold yourself back." Wu Xuanyi was clueless that the death's breath was already surrounding her as he continued to court death.

"Is that so?" Qu Xing Xu laughed. "I won't hold back then. Don't regret it later."

Wu Xuanyi was stunned by his reply and became excited. Her heart drummed against her chest and prepared her body and mind for whatever was about to happen. Anyways, the man before her was the man who owned her heart; it didn't matter to her if he did something bad to her and her reputation.

Besides, the one who would probably cry miserably was Lin Xiaofei, that sl*t, when she finds out that her husband now belonged to Wu Xuanyi!

Wu Xuanyi smiled wickedly and tried to make herself appear innocent and seductive.

She was too distracted that she didn't see that the purple-black haze formed a string around her neck. It was translucent and almost invisible except that it had a beautiful color of onyx black with faint sparkles of purple.

Furthermore, there were several black ice spikes pointed at her back, making one whoever sees this sight grow numb and run for their lives.

Qu Xing Xu has been faithful to his words. When he says he will do something, he will do everything to finish it, and when he wants something, he won't stop until he gets it.

Qu Xing Xu's eyes flashed a red-golden glint as he commanded his dark magic to follow his orders and directed his magic to mercilessly kill Wu Xuanyi when a hand grabbed him from the side.

"Stop."

A cold yet comforting soft, and familiar voice sounded from the side.

"Qu Xing Xu, stop."
