THE BLACKLIGHT

After spending four weeks in clinical treatment, I healed with one hand working, since I was set up with few high ops, Blackwatch didn't knew that I was an innocent felon. I watched on a hospital's TV, Redtron had destroyed many Blackwatch's base camp, tanks and every weapon that could harm him and the civilian, he killed and consumed soldiers who were threatened him, despite your father's selfish and villainous way of doing it, he earned many respect and popularity from both Mutants and normal citizens who were tried fight against Blackwatch's totalitarian way of ruling. His tailcoat and Black Mask became iconic.

I didn't make contact with Akashi in few months, until Akashi called me telling me to come to his house. As a faithful friend, I came, as I looked at Akashi playing with you (preferring Akagi).

He was sitting on a bench near a tree, beside his house.

"Why you asking me for?" I questioned,

Akashi put you beside him "Doctor had confirmed that...." He gravely spoken, He stands up distancing himself from you,

"Papa! Where you going with this man?" kid Akagi asked him, that time you were three or four years old.

"Coming, I am just talking to this man" Akashi politely responded.

When he and I slightly walked away from you, he explained, "The cancer will come back, doctor said it will appearing when Akagi will reach adolescent, for proper treatment they can reduce it for giving him extra 20 to 30 years to live but they can't say he will die or not, if he somehow lives, then he will going spend his entire life in hospital for proper care" he lifted his head looking front, speaking in such sorrowful tone with a slight of regret "It wasn't the future that I wanted for him, I wanted a better future, I killed many people, soldiers and even random civilian. I'm a sinner and wicked but I don't let my family pay the price for my sins".

There is no word that I could said to him for making Akashi felt happy, what a shit luck that Akagi born with.

I didn't wanted to remind him injecting Blacklight into him.

That was a horrible idea that he came with when he decided to steal the vial, but giving the situation that could be a good thing,

Akashi turned into a Mutant, if the virus evolves genetically, then it will positively affect you.

Few moments later, Amiya came by and collected Akagi; she just came, goes, without looking and talking to Akashi. I thought I should ask but then again I shouldn't because it could a personal matter between those two.

"It's that you asked me for," I asked for conformation,

"No!" Akashi replied in grim manner, "Amiya did not agreed with my intention injecting Blacklight into Akagi's body for curing his cancer permanently" he shakes his head in disappointed "She didn't agree, I also told I've became a Blacklight variant, it doesn't work, I left her children alone".

He changed the topic, "Anyway I'll skip this country for a long time".

I was surprised when I heard Akashi's statement "What! Why did you have to run?"

"When I killed Maculam" Akashi spoke again, "He said that Blackwatch already sent a few samples of Blacklight towards Africa and European countries, I have the locations, I have to dismantle them, and I won't Blackwatch or that weapon that we created use to kill people".

I asked him, he has a family so why he wanted to fight against one of the strongest Military unit of the world, he should be happy if he stays with his family then why is so destined to walk the path which leads him nothing but pain and sorrow.

What he responded that completely changed my perception of him?

"What did he said?" Akagi Inquired,

Hiroshi exhales lightly smiling "I remember every line even then"

Akashi responded, "Any fool can be happy. It takes a man with real heart to make beauty out of the stuff that makes us weep"

"What about your son, you'll just left him?" I confronted him,

"I've not given up on Akagi" Akashi said with confidence "I doubt, he wouldn't survive from the transformation because he so young but when he grew up, he have the strength to sustain Virus's power, if I could it, then he will also, our genes which makes us different from the rest of them" he holds my shoulder "Hiroshi my friend, I have to go but I will return, I also don't want to leave my family in such dreadful place also she wouldn't go anywhere, so I asked you, please keep my family safe, Hiroshi".

That the conversation that I had with Akashi Shinsuke back then, was my last, even now I'm also quite selfish and greedy, I broke my promise, I wasn't properly able to keep your family safe, because after Akashi was gone, I received a letter from the MRC offering me to join them. I rejected at first countering I had only one hand, how can I able to work, but MRC send a different offer, telling I should be received a new mechanical arm if I joined engineering division, I had some engineering experience, so I joined a different line of work, away from biology, I didn't heard about him since, yeah heard some rumors about Redtron been part of the Royal Mutants Society but rumors, they cannot been trusted.

Hiroshi again leaned back to his chair "I did some invention and work for helping Blackwatch winning the Second MH War" he chuckles in amus.e.m.e.nt "Blackwatch organisation does sometimes sound like evil empire but they treated their employees well, they build my new arm, paying me some good money to living my life properly, I don't saying they are purely good but they aren't completely evil either".

Akagi exhales got up from the bed looking at the closed window screens "Who side are you on Hiroshi?" he looked back at Hiroshi "You told your entire life explaining my father and your journey but at the same time you taking their side?".

Hiroshi looked at Akagi's dreadful face, thinking about everything that happening around him,

He advices him "Let me give you some advice, Akagi", he said, "It may help you to make sense of the world. I believe you find life such a problem because you think there are the good people and the bad people. You're wrong, of course. There are, always and only, bad people, but some of them are on opposite sides." Hiroshi stands up "As your Mutants, they were the ones who started those two wars, which cause many soldiers, civilian and even Mutant's lives.

Akagi walks near the window screen, clenching his palm "The way I see it, Mutants are mercilessly cruel and amoral beings who think of themselves as superior to humans" he opens the screen and seeing the beautiful and quiet Green Zone "And other hand Blackwatch and Lex Unit thinks earth belongs to them, the Blackwatch organizations that fight with brutality against them thinking nothing about civilian and people who affected by it, They only here to rule as their supreme Rulers and Warlords".

Akagi looked at the Green zone which looking spectacularly clean and beautiful comparing other zones, big green decorative gardens and trees with water fountain and electric train roaming everywhere around to the big building and skyscr.a.p.ers, less and no military activities. Hiroshi stands up, also glaring "Green zone, safest zones for humans no infected and Mutants activities only for nobles, rich people and high ranking Blackwatch officers, the other zones are crapsack" he informed Akagi.

Akagi nods "Those things, this system can't go on like this; a change must be made, if we wish to survive".

"Thinking way too much to the future, huh ?" Hiroshi taps Akagi's shoulder and went back to his desk "There is something you need to know" he opened his laptop on desk,

"A ghost Military unit called Spectres will likely to be active" he shows some files from the laptop "The Spectres, For extreme and certain situations, The Spectres are called to handle cases as Biological terror attacks, Mutants caused massacres or humans coups etc. Each member of the organization is single-mindedly dedicated to its goal and fully believes that it justifies the means, no matter how distasteful they are. As such, Spectres soldiers will execute infected humans without hesitation. They are very dangerous people, Akagi".

Akagi looked at given articles and reads "Spectres, it's a classified ghost unit, right?"

Hiroshi nods "Very few people aware of their existence, I'm warning you, because I broke my promise to Akashi" he warned Akagi "This conversation never took place, we did not know each other, if you caught by Spectres, you can't say my name, if you do, I will disowned you, got it!"

Akagi understood "Spectre are not yet activated, right"

"They will be" Hiroshi assumed, sitting on his chair "The general will activate because the recent change of Mutant's activity towards yellow zone" he looked at his watch "Oh shit! Look at the time, I have to go and act my role as a happy-go-lucky crazy scientist".

Hiroshi explained thoroughly "There is cargo truck leaving soon towards yellow zone, the driver is a friend, he could lift you there".

Akagi nods and forward his hand "Thank you for telling me all this, I know it's lot of things to digest but I need to confront someone"

Hiroshi also forward his hand "It's a least I can do" he lifted a finger up for reminding him "Remember you don't know me",

Akagi nods and went away from Hiroshi's house.

Akagi was sitting on the backside of that truck and beside a ton of boxes,

He thinking about his past as the truck goes it way towards Yellow zone "I knew, my life is a cl.u.s.ter f.u.c.k, didn't knew, that very much, I didn't knew my father or I did not wanted to know my father until the Hiroshi spill it out, I had a cancer that I never knew, no one told me I had".

"I did notice something wrong with my body, when I collapse when I was a teenager, my mother didn't told me a thing, just smiling front of me pretended that nothing is wrong with me, I was out of my school, staying home taking meds, that was useless!".

"My father was Redtron and a mutant hybrid, he infected me with his Blacklight turned me into a mutant in order to curing my cancer".

Something bugging Akagi as he went back thought process,

"Why my mom didn't told me if she knew my disease, why?",

He continues "Dad, put something on my c.h.e.s.t when we clashed" he lifted his hand glared, he furrows, viral spirals roaming around his hand, he forced a little more and then his fingers turned into claws.

Akagi can manipulate his Noryoku at his will but he did not satisfy "I'm able to use my physical power, whenever I want to, I must prepared, Spectres, Blackwatch's Ghost Unit, I need to stay quiet in order not attract any unwanted attention but first I to confirm by my mother, why didn't she told me anything, about my father, about my cancer, there many questions I need to ask her"...
