The CEO's Rented Wife

Chapter 75 - Oops Moments!

Wang wrapped Lina's injured foot with the crepe bandage like a professional. Lina could not be more impressed.

"The injured part is all covered now. Just make sure that you do not put much pressure on the foot. I think the pain will go away in two days. Else, we'll get an X-ray done," explained Wang as he stood up back to his feet.

Lina gave no response. Her foot was no longer paining. She kept on looking at Wang's face with a loving expression. Her innocence did not fail to attract Wang as he spoke again.

"Don't worry! It does not look very serious. Just give your foot some rest. You'll be perfectly okay in a few hours," smiled Wang.

Wang's smile soon got vanished as he saw his uncle and aunt walking towards the tent house.

"Wang! How are you?" smiled Aunt Ning as she hugged Wang.

Wang was surprised at the sudden arrival of his uncle and aunt. "Uncle Jack! Aunt Ning! What are you doing here?" Wang tried to control his irritation. The topic of his marriage was the last thing he wanted to talk about at this moment.

Uncle Jack smiled as he hugged Wang. "We were on a road trip. We came to know that you and your team are at the beach for a shoot, and so we decided to stop by and meet you. It's always so good to see you," replied Jack.

"Road trip? Since when did you both start enjoying road trips?" Wang knew something was fishy.

"Road trips are so much fun. Plus, the weather is so good. We love it here!" giggled Jack.

"The weather is good?" Wang wondered as he looked at the sky. It was scorching hot due to the intense heat from the sun rays.

Aunt Ning knew that the discussion was not heading towards a right direction. Her husband's idea of introducing a 'road trip' was the most stupid thing she had ever heard. Ning decided to change the topic before Jack could say anything further.. that would make Wang look at the couple with suspicion.

"Who is that lovely girl?" smiled Ning as she pointed at the crimson haired girl who sat on a chair in the tent house.

"That lovely girl is Lina. She is my new personal assistant." Wang introduced Lina to aunt Ning and uncle Jack.

"Nice to meet you," smiled Ning as she shook hands with Lina and winked at her.

"Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Ning," smiled back Lina.

Ning's smiling face suddenly turned into a frowning face because of Lina's reply. 'Oh! The foolish girl!' thought Ning.

"How do you know her name?" Wang inquired.

Lina realized her mistake. Her face turned pale with fear. "Err. Uhm!" Lina could not speak out anything.

Aunt Ning decided to save the situation. "Haha! The entire town knows me!" Ning gave out a reluctant laugh. "This sweet girl knows me too.. I am a famous person," giggled Ning.

"Yeah! You know.. magazines and stuff !" Jack decided to show his wisdom but was soon gestured to shut his mouth by his wife.

"Yes! Yes! She is right!" Lina decided to participate as she gave out a forced laughter. "She is so famous. Everyone at the company talks so much about her. I came to know about her from the company's employees," lied Lina.

"Such a sweet girl!" praised Ning. "So, how is life? How is everything going on?" Ning tried to continue with the formal interaction with Lina.

"Everything is fine. You already know how my life is going," said Lina with a raised eyebrow as the memories of her training period passed through her brain.

"H.. how would I know about your life," stammered Ning. "We have met for the first time," Ning gave out another forced laughter.

Again, Ning knew that the discussion was not going in a right direction. And this time, it was Lina who could make Wang look at all of them with suspicion. Ning decided to change the topic again.

"Wang, your uncle is a very big fan of Sparklet Johnson. When he came to know that the company had hired her for the shoot, he was so excited," giggled Ning and turned her face towards Jack. "Jack, don't you want to meet the actress?" asked Ning.

"Yes, I do," chuckled Jack.

"Wang, you know your uncle is so shy. Would you please introduce your uncle to the actress?" requested Ning.

"Sure, aunty," smiled Wang and turned his gaze towards his uncle who was now over-excited to meet the actress. Wang laughed at his uncle's expression. "Uncle, I'll take you to her vanity van," smiled Wang.

Wang and Jack began to walk towards the celebrity's vanity van, leaving Ning and Lina alone inside the tent house – exactly what aunt Ning wanted.
