The CEO's Rented Wife

Chapter 76 - Beware of Chunhua

Aunt Ning waited till Wang and Jack had left the scene. The very mention of Miss. Sparklet Johnson had filled Jack with enthusiasm. Wang and Jack walked towards the actress's vanity van. Ning had never seen her husband walk so fast earlier. She was irritated but ignored everything so as to focus on the main plan.

Aunt Ning walked towards Lina, who was still sitting on the chair. "Can't you think before you speak? You almost got us caught. Your boss hates lies and liars. If Wang comes to know about our plan, he would fire you immediately and I will lose my mansion," chided Ning.

"Mansion! What mansion?" Lina was surprised.

"Errr.. N.. none of your business," stammered Ning. "I have been watching you from inside my car from the time you came here. Who told you to carry out every single task given to you?" scolded Ning.

Lina did not know what to say. She looked at Ning with a sad face. While her innocent face could melt anyone's heart, it failed to bring any softness to Ning's tone.

"I have been telling you this again and again.. Just focus on Wang. Your target is not to get any job promotions or words of praises from your colleagues.. your target is to make Wang fall in love with you. Stop paying any attention to what other people of the company say to you or order you," Ning expressed her thoughts. "If it wasn't for your good luck, you would have been fired from your job for what you did today," scolded Ning as she reminded Lina of her carelessness while helping Miss. Sparklet Johnson.

"I, very well, understand everything that you are saying, Mrs. Ning. I am very sorry for what happened today. I have asked for forgiveness from my boss as well. Such silly mistakes won't happen again," assured Lina.

"Did you have any interactions with Chunhua?" asked Ning.

"Not much! But, why do you ask?" inquired Lina.

"Don't get any close to her. Even if she talks sweetly with you, don't trust her. I don't like her," disclosed Ning.

"Actually, I shouldn't be saying this.. But, I don't like her too. Her attitude is not likeable," shared Lina.

"Good to hear that you don't like her. I'll tell you something that you might still not have observed," said Ning as she took a step towards Lina. "Chunhua hates you a lot!" whispered Ning.

"Why would she hate me? I don't understand," wondered Lina.

"Stop talking like my husband," growled Ning. "You won't understand why she hates you. I am telling you all this.. so that you be careful when she is around you. Don't interact much with her," cautioned Ning as she looked at Lina's sad face.

Ning walked to the sides of the tent house and checked where everyone was. She saw Wang and Jack walk out of Miss. Johnson's vanity. She walked back to Lina and spoke again. "Come on brave girl! Get up now! You have endured so much pain during your training when you practiced to walk wearing high-heeled sandals. This minor sprain is nothing before that," smiled Ning as she helped Lina in getting her back on her feet.

Lina looked pale and exhausted from all the hard work she did all day. If she would have been a regular employee, Ning would definitely have praised her energy levels. But, it was her clumsiness that did the damage.

"You are forgetting the most important lesson from your training period," pointed out Ning. "Never stop smiling. Men like women who are cheerful and full of life," reminded Ning as she smiled at Lina.

Lina gave a forced smile in return.

"Yes! Like that!" praised Ning.

As aunt Ning held Lina's arm, so as to help her in walking, Lina put half of her body weight on Ning's shoulders. She was too afraid to put any pressure on her injured foot.

Aunt Ning was about to fall down from Lina's weight, but managed to balance herself at the last moment. Lina hopped on her left foot as she tried to walk a little. Aunt Ning's own body weight and Lina's half body weight was being too much for the middle-aged lady to handle. "Err.. Sweetie! I think I should get some help. I don't want both of us to be admitted in the hospital," laughed Ning.

As both of them interacted, Wang and Jack returned after having interacted with Sparklet Johnson. Jack never looked happier.

Wang saw Lina struggling to walk on her feet. He gestured Lina to take a seat so as to avoid any further strain on the foot.

"I have to sit," mumbled Lina as she hurriedly hopped back to the chair and sat down.

Ning was surprised at the swiftness of the crimson haired girl.

"Boss's order!" winked Lina.

"Yeah! That's what I am talking about! Just focus on Wang," laughed Ning as she walked back to her husband.
