The CEO's Rented Wife

Chapter 84 - A different treatment!

At Wang Fashion House..

It was already late. All the employees had left for their respective homes. Only the top management, including Wang, Smith, Chunhua and a few others were at the office. While some employees had returned from the beach to finish of their pending work, some preferred to stay at a hotel that was booked for them near the 'Thousand steps beach'.

Chunhua desperately wanted to end Lina's stay at the company. She knew that her mistake, at the beach, was not an ordinary mistake. This could have badly affected the company's contract with Miss. Sparklet Johnson. And Chunhua wanted to capitalize upon the situation. She decided to have a talk with Wang regarding this, as she walked towards his office.

"Missing me?" smiled Chunhua as she entered Wang's office.

Wang smiled back at Chunhua, but gave no reply.

"I decided to travel back to the office today itself. I didn't want you to get any anxious from the accident that took place at the beach," Chunhua reminded Wang of what Lina did with Sparklet Johnson.

"Have you ever seen me anxious before?" asked Wang.

Chunhua thought for a few seconds. She, actually, had never seen Wang anxious or frustrated. He was too good with his emotions and had full control on himself.

Chunhua spoke again. "Wang, I think.. Lina does not deserve this job. She should be fired immediately. Anything could have happened today. The company's contract could have been in danger. Or worst.. Miss. Sparklet Johnson could have sued the company's management," Chunhua tried to convince Wang.

"Hmm. You are right. That girl is clumsy. I'll think about what you just suggested," commented Wang and he looked at Chunhua with a blank face.

Chunhua was satisfied. She knew that it was a good start. "Wang, let's go out for dinner. You look tired. You need some rest too," suggested Chunhua.

"I am fine. I wish to stay here and finish my work," replied Wang.

"Come on! Don't be so workaholic. Let's go out for a dinner," Chunhua repeated her words.

Wang and Chunhua's conversation was interrupted by Wang's personal chef, who had just entered Wang's office, carrying a tray.

"Actually, my dinner is here already. I had called my chef to prepare for my dinner. I wanted to finish off my work, and so decided to have my dinner here in the office itself," smiled Wang. "You can go with Smith," suggested Wang.

"In that case, I think I'll go back to my house and have my dinner there." Chunhua was not happy. She wanted to spend more time with Wang. She wanted more time to convince Wang to throw away the crimson haired personal assistant away from the company. But, she had no option left. "Have a good night. Enjoy your dinner," smiled Chunhua as she walked out of the office.

The chef served the dinner and walked outside.

Wang sat as the thoughts of Lina's innocence and her clumsiness passed through his brain. While Lina's strange behavior made Wang doubt her intentions, her innocent face, clumsy actions and her hard work pleased him. He remembered his interaction with Lina during his travel back from beach to the company. He smiled as he remembered Lina's innocent face and her cute expressions. While Wang knew that Lina was hiding something, he had no doubt that she was an innocent soul.

Wang sat alone, as thoughts of Lina's behavior made him smile. His thoughts were interrupted by Smith, who had just walked into Wang's office. He noticed Wang smiling.

"Never seen you like this.." commented Smith as he smiled at Wang.

"What do you mean?" asked Wang as he shook Smith's hands and gestured him to have a seat.

"You are always too busy.. to think about something and smile," giggled Smith. "So, what were you thinking about?" asked Smith.

"Nothing! You are assuming things," replied Wang.

Smith wasn't convinced. "Wang, don't you think that your behavior is changing?" smiled Smith.

"No! I don't think so. Why do you ask that?" asked Wang.

"Well.. there a lot many reasons to ask that question. But, most importantly, I've never seen you carry a girl in your arms earlier," laughed Smith.

Wang blushed a little as he tried to control his smile. "The situation needed that. Lina was helpless." Wang replied with a straight face.

"Wang, you have to agree me on this. You are treating this girl.. Lina.. very differently" smirked Smith.

"I am not treating her differently. I am treating her like I treated all my other personal assistants." Wang was being adamant.

"Really? I never saw you show so much care for any of your previous personal assistants," laughed Smith.

"Maybe.. because they never got themselves hurt before me," replied Wang, almost immediately, as if he already knew the question that Smith was about to ask.

Both of them talked about Lina for some time, planned for their next shoot, had dinner and called it a day.
