The CEO's Rented Wife

Chunhua sat in her office. She had been there even before her scheduled time. She was angry and frustrated. Lina's presence in the company had suddenly changed the entire scenario. She wanted to be close to Wang all the time. But, Lina had taken her place. And, she felt strange that even Smith, Ning and Jack behaved in such a way as if they were happy with Lina being near to Wang.

Chunhua's thoughts were interrupted by some Whatsapp messages that she received from an unknown number, that was mysteriously hidden using some software.

Private Number: Hello, Miss Chunhua. 

Chunhua: Hello, who is this?

Private Number: Does not matter much! I have an amazing offer for you.

Chunhua: I'm reading..

Private Number: I am very well aware of the fact that you want CEO Wang's new personal assistant, Lina, out of the company. I can help you with that.

Chunhua: What? You are mistaken. Why would I want that to happen?

Private Number: You don't have to lie to me.

Chunhua: So.. what's your offer?

Private Number: I offer you this - Lina's exit from the company, a 7 BHK flat, the latest BMW model car and 1 million dollars in cash. Plus, you will have an easy access to Wang after Lina goes away.

Chunhua: What do you want in return?

Private Number: You will work for me. I want you to do something so that Miss. Sparklet Johnson breaks contract with the company. I want to see company's reputation go down the drain.

Chunhua: Why will Sparklet Johnson break the contract? Wang has offered a huge amount of money to her. 

Private Number: We have to plan an accident. The entire blame will go on Lina. She will be fired. All the gossips and rumors will give a huge setback to Wang. It would be at that time when you can offer your support to him and get close to him.

Chunhua: But, why do you want this to happen? Who are you?

Private Number: I am not going to reveal my identity at this moment. First, I want you to think about my offer and accept it readily. And understand this.. Don't you dare try to share these messages with Wang. If you do so, you are going to get into trouble. I have my people working in your company. I know everything that is happening at Wang Fashion House.

Chunhua: I need some time to think.

Private Number: You don't have much time. I will wait for a reply.

Chunhua sat still. Her breathing got heavier. She knew that Wang had many competitors who desperately wanted to hire Sparklet Johnson. As soon as Wang Fashion House signed a contract with the Hollywood actress, the company's sharevalue almost got doubled. Wang had to beat and manipulate a number of other competitors so as to get the contract. 

But, all this was not important to Chunhua at the moment. What she focused on presently was an offer to create circ.u.mstances so as to harass Lina and throw her out of the company. She was finding this aspect of the offer very attractive.

While Chunhua was still lost in her thoughts as she looked at the messages on her Whatsapp, Smith's sudden arrival in her office surprised her.

"Helloo sweetheart!" greeted Smith with his usual jolly attitude.

Chunhua got cautious. "H.. hello," she greeted back.

"I'm sorry. You seem to be busy on your mobile. Anything serious?" asked Smith.

"No! I was just chatting with a friend of mine," lied Chunhua.

Smith walked towards Chunhua and sat down on the chair that was placed before her table. "Friend! A guy?" Smith raised an eyebrow. He felt a little jealous.

"Hey! This is none of your business. I can talk to anybody I want," Chunhua tried to tackle the situation with a little bravery.

"Well! The great Smith is sitting in front of you. Why would any girl ignore this masterpiece and talk to any other guy," Smith praised himself and winked at Chunhua.

"It could be my boyfriend," smiled Chunhua.

"It better not be…" warned Smith.

"What are you going to do about it?" mocked Chunhua.

"I am.." Smith was about to say something but stopped on seeing Wang and Lina walking into Chunhua's office.
