The CEO's Rented Wife

Inside Chunhua's office..

Wang and Lina entered Chunhua's office. Smith behaved as if he had been caught red handed.

"Ahmm!" Wang smiled at Smith. "What are you upto?" he asked.

"Nothing much! I'm trying to know more about Chunhua," winked Smith. He looked at Chunhua and spoke again. "Isn't that right, sweetie?" he giggled.

Chunhua gave no reply. Smith asked the same question again with greater emphasis.

Wang interrupted their conversation again. "I am going to my office. If you are done with this little meaningless conversation of yours, can we all start with our work?" Wang said with a raised eyebrow.

"Ofcourse! That's what we are here for," smiled Smith.

Wang and Lina walked out of Chunhua's office. Smith stayed there for some more time to flirt with Chunhua.

Inside Wang's office..

Wang and Lina were having a discussion on Wang's schedule and Lina's tasks for today. Lina looked visibly confused. All the information was being too much for the new employee to handle.

Wang spoke as he instructed Lina to make the required changes to his to-do list along with the tasks that Lina had to complete today. "Lina, you have to talk to Zhang Wei today regarding the progress of the prototypes. The sooner we get the prototypes, the faster we will plan the manufacturing of those designs. We are already running late. I want to see those designs in the market as soon as possible," explained Wang as he observed confusion on Lina's face. "You remember who Zhang Wei is, right?" asked Wang.

"Yes! Yes! He is the owner of Avanti Clothing factory," Lina replied immediately and gave a forced smile.

"Good!" praised Wang. "Your second task is to go to our warehouse. A new stock of women's footwear has just been added to our inventory. I want you to send one pair of every design to Aunt Ning at her house. You get that?" asked Wang.

"Yes!" said Lina as she continued to make notes of everything that was being instructed by her boss. The worried look on her face clearly expressed that she did not want to miss anything and make her boss angry.

"Thirdly, the receptionist is on a leave today. You will take up all the important calls today and pass them on to the respective departments," ordered Wang.

"Yes, Mr. Wang," replied Lina as she continued to make notes.

"And, give me my to-do list that you have prepared for me. If anything needs to be discussed regarding that, I will ask you to come to my office," Wang continued.

"Y.. yes, sir," said Lina as she opened a file that she was holding and took out a paper. She handed over it to her boss.

Wang had a look at the paper. He watched it for a few seconds and looked at Lina again. "That is a pretty interesting to-do list" he smiled. Wang began to read from the paper that Lina had handed over to him. "Milk, yogurt, bread, eggs, low sugar biscuits, buns, olive oil, peanut butter.."

"Oh God! Th.. that's my grocery list," Lina stammered. She had accidently handed over her grocery list to her boss. She hurriedly grabbed back the paper from her boss's hand so as to avoid any further embarrassment. She was too scared to speak anything further.

Wang laughed out loud. Lina was surprised. This was not the reaction she was expecting from her boss. Wang seemed to be having a good time.

"I am so sorry, Mr. Wang. Here is your to-do list," Lina sighed as she handed over another paper to Wang, after double checking it.

"Ahh! Finally, I have my to-do list in my hand," laughed Wang. "Okay! Time to work now! I hope you have noted down everything that I told you a few minutes back. I don't want you to miss anything," demanded Wang.

"I won't," assured Lina.

"Go! Run now. You have a lot of work to do," asked Wang as he tried to control his laughter.

"Yes, sir!" Lina said as she stood up from the chair and walked hurriedly towards the office's door.

Lina's funny way of walking, because of the high-heeled sandals that she wore, made Wang laugh even more. He kept on laughing for a few minutes even when Lina was gone from the office.
