The Seventh Night Part 1

The kitten pretended to be fierce and bared her teeth at him as if he were not allowed to touch her.

“Have you had enough?”

Sean saw that she had become hostile as soon as she was full. With a familiar move, he turned his hand around to put it on top of her head.

The kitten continued to bare her teeth. “Change me back!”

Sean seemed amused and stroked her head. “Wait a minute.”

Alarmed, Joyce struck his hand. “Are you going to go back on your words and not change me back?”

At that, Sean looked at her. “It’s… not bad like this.”

How could Joyce believe his lies? She hit his hand and bared her teeth again. “Change me back!”

Sean ignored how she was trying to be fierce. He rubbed her round little head again and stroked all the way down the kitten’s back.

""

Joyce lost her temper again. Although… now that she was a kitten, she could only let him stroke her…

If she was not a cat, her face would have turned completely red by now.

Her face was very hot. She was too angry so she ignored him. She jumped down the treetops and squeezed through the gates of the castle.

Sean was a little surprised when he saw the kitten slip away from his arms. He wondered how she was trying to force him to turn her back a moment ago, and then slipped away so quickly the next.

“Your Majesty.”

Sean came back to his senses by the sudden voice. He turned his eyes to the figure hidden in the shadow of the tree.

“The princess has arrived safely, shouldn’t you…”

Sean’s eyes grew cold, and the man in the shadow of the tree immediately stopped talking.

“I still have some things to take care of.”

The man in the shadow of the tree paused and respectfully replied, “Yes.”

Sean returned to the castle and looked for the lost kitty in the room. He saw a figure flash by in the corner of the room and chased the little one to the kitchen patiently.

""

“What are you doing here?” Long Aotian, who was giving out orders in the kitchen, saw Sean and frowned.

Sean’s eyes glanced at the figure with smooth fur between the table and chair. He raised an  eyebrow. “I’m looking for a cat.”

“Cat?” As soon as Long Aotian heard this, he was confused. He immediately followed Sean’s eyes, and sure enough, he saw the kitten under the corner of the table. He didn’t want Sean wandering around, so he frowned again and said, “Stay there and don’t move. I’ll get it.”

He rolled up his sleeves and crouched down at the table to catch the cat.

How could Joyce, who was hiding under the table, be caught by him like this? She watched as he rolled up his sleeves and came over to catch her. She quickly got out from under the table to avoid his hands. Long Aotian, who caught nothing, was shocked, and rushed to follow her under the table and almost touched her neck, but the kitten turned around and jumped on the kitchen table.

It was difficult for Long Aotian to move. He became irritated when he didn’t catch the kitten after several attempts. He gave up on patiently trying to grab the cat. After being dodged again, he was able to hold down one of the kitten’s paws.

With one of her paws held down, Joyce started struggling. A bottle of milk was knocked over and splashed onto Long Aotian.

As Long Aotian wiped his clothes in a trice, she slipped away again.

Sean stood outside the kitchen door and watched as the vampire and cat turned everything upside down until they knocked over nearly half the seasoning on the table. Long Aotian clenched his teeth in rage as he grabbed her tail. Amid her incessant struggle, she looked up with a glare.

“Look, a white cat has turned into a dirty cat.” Long Aotian condescendingly complained with a cold snort. “Your cat is filthy, I will wash it for you.”

After being chased until she only had half her life left, Joyce’s anger blew up instantly. She struggled to escape but was held tightly in Long Aotian’s arms.

“Oh right, have you seen Her Highness Joyce?” When he reached Sean, Long Aotian frowned and asked as the kitten continued to be restless.

Sean glanced at the cat in his arms and replied indifferently, “No.”

“I don’t know where she went… It’s almost time for class…”

Joyce thought of how Long Aotian felt that she was not that proactive in trying to save the Primogeniture, so he would hold her back to talk about how powerful the Primogeniture, Cathy, was for hours every day. She remained silent and rolled her eyes.

Seeing that she was about to be forcibly taken away by Long Aotian, she had no choice but to helplessly look at Sean to beg for help.

Sean watched this situation quietly. The corners of his lips slightly rose into a smile, he was waiting for her to ask for help.

It went without saying that Joyce did not know how to explain to Long Aotian, this foolish subordinate, why she had changed into a cat, let alone why she could not follow him to any lessons. As Sean watched and stayed in place as she was about to be taken away without any concerns, she stuck her small head out of Long Aotian’s arms and looked at Sean.

She angrily glared at him for just watching her like this and doing nothing.

In the end, she opened her mouth—

“Meow!!”
