"Greetings, princess."

Cloaked figures all kneeled and spoke at the same time. With the help of their surroundings being dark and these people's clothing, it was creepy and gave Rhaxtyx goose bumps. They did not say anything after greeting and it was as if they were waiting for something.

"Umm... Who are you peo-" (Rhaxtyx)

"Shut up you filthy thing! We are not talking to you!"

"What the hell is going on!? Are you talking to Ange?"

"You little! How dare you talk to-"

"Enough, Julia." (???)

"Yes..." (Julia)

"Umm... Who are you people?" (Angeline)

Angeline asked timidly. She dropped the bag and drew her sword at some point.

"No need for hostility, princess. We are your loyal guards." (???)

"I don't know anything about that! All I know is you are blocking our path."

"Well this happens when the mercenaries you pay just disappear with the money. My name is Izakaya, princess, and we were sent by the Uvla Family to escort you home."

"Uvla Family? That sounds similar to your surname doesn't it?" (Rhaxtyx)

"Yeah it does. But it's the first time I heard that name."

"That is the surname of the head of the Water God Clan. And also, yours too princess." (Izakaya)

"No, it isn't. My surname is Ulvia! You must have the wrong person."

"I do not think so princess. We can detect the aura of the main family. You have that distinct aura. We can never be wrong about this."

"What are you talking about?"

"This" *snap*

Izakaya raised his hand and snapped his fingers. With this, a wave of mana hit Rhaxtyx, Angeline and Badgey and their Disguise was nullified. They were shocked at this, especially Rhaxtyx. Being able to lift his disguise meant he was good. Izakaya was surprised as well. He talked while slowly drawing his short swords.

"Oh? I knew princess had company with her but I never expected this. Princess please get away from that demon."

"What demon!? How dare you spout such foul things about my friend!?"

"I will not say twice. Secure the princess."

""Yes!""

With that, cloaked figures all drew their weapons and started to attack Rhaxtyx. Rhaxtyx was trying to keep up but his opponents were on a different level Swords hacked at his body, bolts tried to pierce. All of the attacks were in perfect harmony. They completed each other. Even though he could see most of their attacks he wasn't fast enough to dodge all of them.

'Sh*t. They are serious about killing me! I can't even see their attacks. Should I use sonic boom? No Ange is here too. She might get hurt. What about transforming?'

"No! Remember the last time you did it! You will die if you do it again!" (Yggdrasil)

'Damn! Is there any way for me to beat their asses!?'

"I see none with your current condition."

'Damn it!'

"Why are you doing this?" (Angeline)

"To save you from this demon and take you to safety of your home. Your mother, the queen has missed you greatly princess."

"My mother is not a queen she's an inn hostess! And she went missing after I left my village!"

"You will know the truth if you come with us princess. But first we have to get rid of this demon."

"He's not a demon! You don't know what you're talking about."

"Don't you see him, princess? He has white hair and crimson eyes. 'The Touch of Demon Soul'. He is a threat to you as well as the world. That is why we must kill him here."

"He is no demon. In my eyes you are the demons! You are trying to take my friend away!"

"Friend, princess? Truly, just like a demon. They charm and fool people to have everything they want. Even someone as great as you have fallen to that charm it seems. Once we are back I'm sure the family will-"

"If you don't stop, you will regret it." (Angeline)

Angeline had her sword to her neck when she said this. Izakaya was shocked to see this. The charm had an effect that deep? Even if she did not train it, Angeline's mind should be stronger than that. Unwillingly, Izakaya gave the order to stop with his hand.

Rhaxtyx's was so durable that the guards were not able to injure him like they wanted to. They could only have him suffer some minor scratches occasionally but those would heal at a visible rate. The only evidence of their fight was Rhaxtyx's damaged clothes. This was of course thanks to his physique and regeneration.

Rhaxtyx looked tired as he assessed his situation. These cloaked figures were strong. If he had his full strength, they would mean nothing but he was trapped in a body that is sealed. He cannot transform into his God Mode as well because of the seal. He gets stuck in the middle and even that is life threatening. He could die, if what Yggdrasil had said is the truth. He looked at Angeline and was unsure of what to do. He could not fight these people as he was too weak and he could not take Angeline away as well. And now Angeline held a sword to get own neck just to get Rhaxtyx out of this situation.

"Ange, don't do anything stupid. I can beat these humans."

"I told you to stop addressing the princess, you filthy demon!" (Julia)

"It's okay Rex. I don't think they want to hurt me."

"Precisely! If we wanted that, we would've done it already." (Izakaya)

"So you want me to come with you. To where?"

"To the Water God Clan, princess. Your father ordered us to take you home."

"And why should I come with you?"

"Because you're not safe here princess. And wouldn't you want to meet your true family?"

"My true family is not there. What about my friend?"

"Our orders are to take you, and only you, and return to the family."

"Then I have a condition."

"I don't think this can be-"

"I don't think you have any other choice, Mr Guard."

"What is your condition, princess?"

"I will follow you to the family only if you let Rex and Badgey go."

"He is a threat to the world! I cannot-"

"So you want to see me hurt after all. I wonder what would 'father' say when he sees me hurt."

"Sh*t."

Izakaya was out of options. Just as Angeline said, if she gets hurt, even with a tiny scratch his head would roll. He looked at Rhaxtyx, then to his colleagues. He heaved a sigh when he got confirmation from them.

"Alright. Only this one time, we will not kill this 'friend'. But if he gets in our way again, I cannot guarantee his life."

"He will not get in your way again. Right, Rex?"

"You promise me that she will be safe."

"Why would you care?"

"None of your concern! I said promise me!"

"I wonder if you're losing a valuable vessel that you are acting like this now and I feel unpleasant to talk to you. But I give you my word, demon."

"That's good enough for me. Even though I hate the thought, I have no choice but to give up for now. After all, we cannot kill each other now. But be assured!"

With his last word, mana inside the building was agitated and the whole building was shaking. All the while Rhaxtyx was channeling his own mana. His eyes were shining because of it and his hair and clothes were dancing even without the wind.

"That I will take her back!"

"Hoho. Do your worst, I will be ready whenever you want."

Light was being produced because of mana conflict that was happening between them. The air got hotter and everybody was feeling as if chocking. Angeline was seeing Rhaxtyx this serious for the first time.

'I, Rhaxtyx, The God of Magic, guarantee it."

"I know no god with that name, you fake."

"You will learn."

"Let's go. We've accomplished our mission. It's time for princess to return home."

With that, they left. Only Rhaxtyx and Badgey was left inside the tavern. Badgey came beside him and nudged him with its nose.

"Sorry buddy. There's nothing I can do now. It looks like we are on our own for a while huh. Let's see how that turns out."
