There was a city-wide search going on in Vulca City. They were under attack and reports stated that it was caused by only one person. Even though the higher ups didn't want to believe it they had no choice on the matter as there weren't any troops around or in the city. The damages and attacks were localized and the attacks happened randomly and only one troop was attacked at the same time.

Therefore, the city lord ordered to increase the patrols and find the perpetrator. The person in question, Rhaxtyx was currently in a cellar and was meditating. He was unlocking the seal on the pendant he had bought that day and increase his strength somehow.

The pendant was containing knowledge about various topics; history, geography and general magic studies. It taught about how to train beginner level spells and control techniques.

'It proves more useful than I initially thought. With this entry stage knowledge, I can finally have an easier time getting used to the laws.'

While he was thinking so the power surge changed and his mana flowed backwards.

'What is going on? That goddamn tree missed something?!'

Under normal conditions mana flowing backwards was extremely dangerous as it could have unforeseen consequences. Even though he was the God of Magic and he was safe from any critical situations regarding this, he was in a different world right now so he was in a more difficult position than before.

His status as the God of Magic still held some power as his body was the same as before and his feeling of mana was nearly unchanged. That is why he was still confident with his current predicament.

'Let's see what'll happen if I let you go. Go, flow to your heart's content! O' mana!'

Forget letting it go, he even urged his own mana to flow in reverse. It flowed and flowed, until it completed one full cycle. He didn't feel anything special after this and was about to give up when he felt a new energy take root inside him.

'That feels refreshing and… cleansing. What the hell?'

When he focused he saw a sapling appeared in his consciousness and was giving off a holy aura. This sapling was at most 1.50 cm and was pure white with blue on the edges of its branches. It shone bright and caused Rhaxtyx to be amazed. At that time, he heard a voice inside his head. This voice belonged to an old man and was soothing.

"This is my last gift, my last legacy. I hope this reaches a worthy individual. I hope you can carve a way through this harsh world. With the emergence of the other important things, the world shall change as well. This is all this old man can do for now. I hope the world will accept my last wish."

Rhaxtyx was baffled. Even on Grelia, people that could leave a message in an item was worthy for him to notice their existence. And to leave such a perfect message meant that this old ma was really powerful by the standards of Thyra.

'Another thing to focus on huh? 'My last legacy' huh? Maybe this is the last part to a larger puzzle. Ugh now I can't not search for this! I have to put this on the later list.'

He then opened his eyes and looked around. The cellar was a mess, the crates were broken apart and the dust was lifted.

"Cough cough! What happened?"

"Ah you're finally awake! I was getting bored y'know!" (Yggdrasil)

"How long was I out?"

"About five minutes."

"You sounded like I was gone for almost a day."

"That's because I was getting bored, didn't you hear me?"

"You weren't like this when we were back on Grelia. You were more…"

"More what?"

"You know, ancient."

"You call me old?!"

"Aren't you old though? You being the world tree and all…"

"Hmph! I will disregard what you said and act like it didn't happen!"

"Don't change the subjects like-"

"So? What did you gain from that pendant?"

"So you still changed it huh? It was a bunch of entry level knowledge for some wizard trainees."

"Good! You can adjust yourself more easily then."

"Yeap. It was helpful really. But there was something different from what I expected in the end."

"Like what?"

"My mana started flowing backwards."

"What?! Isn't that dangerous?!"

"It is. Now tell me, you were supposed to look into this thing, am I correct?"

"Yes. I did look into it. Are you saying I missed something?"

"Well didn't you?"

"I… did."

"Something bad could've happened y'know!"

"It's not like you are going to die from it!"

"Think more about my well-being as well! I can still feel pain y'know!"

"Who cares about you?!"

"Apparently the old guy that left his thoughts in this!"

"What old guy?"

"You didn't hear?"

"Why would I? It was you who lead his consciousness into the pendant, not me. This old guy, did he say anything?"

"Something about this being his last legacy and last wish. I was thinking there may be more of these things."

"Well these were not that rare back on Grelia as well. Just, very rare. Almost legendary."

"You wanna continue?"

"Shut up."

Rhaxtyx got up and tidied up his clothes, beating the dust off of him and stretching his legs. He felt a bit lighter, his mana becoming more accustomed to the world he was in. He felt more natural with his surroundings.

"Did you realize anything different in there? Anything new?" (Rhaxtyx)

"Yeah. A piece of the World Tree of this world entered."

"So that's what that sapling is!"

"What else could it be?!"

Rhaxtyx got out of the cellar and looked around him. He saw no one in the immediate vicinity and with his mana sensory he felt that there weren't that much enemy troops around where he was. Because of this he jumped on a roof top and started running around, looking for opportunities to create situations so to create more trouble for the city lord.

"It's weird that it entered though." (Yggdrasil)

"It's weird right? It almost feels like it keeps my mind fresh. My mind feels clearer."

"Maybe it made you more intelligent?"

"Oi! I'm smart okay!"

"Yes yes."

"I am reeeaaally smart you know! Hey! Are you listening to me?!"

But Yggdrasil was not going to answer him. It was thinking about the origin of this sapling. It didn't know what to make of this situation and was lost in thought. Seeing it wasn't going to answer him, even after he insulted Yggdrasil a couple of times, Rhaxtyx kept quiet and started hunting once more.

He first cleared a couple of troops around him, attracting attention once more. His attacks were swift and quick, striking true and killing in quick succession. Rhaxtyx was never the type to show mercy on the battlefield. His mindset was clear:

"Anyone who stands to stop me, hurt me or my precious things deserves to die."

He learned what it was to have precious people when he came to this world. He also learned what it means to lose those precious things and people. His anger was more towards himself than more towards his enemies. He was angry at his inability to protect when he needed.

His eyes became more serious the more he killed. Even though Yggdrasil was worried for him, he cared not and kept on what he started. The troop sizes increased since the start and the patrols also became more frequent, meaning in a faster information network between units and a quicker reinforcement system.

'I may have been too rushed after all. I can't keep my killing speed and if I get ganged up then that is the end for this operation.'

That's why he decided to take a look around on the rooftop of a particularly tall building. He emerged from the shadows and looked around. All the buildings were almost rundown and were crumbling. That was so for at least the outer sections of the city. Towards the inner parts were more luxurious, richer.

'Is that the lord's mansion?'

He looked at the almost royal castle like building at the center of the city. It was grand for sure. But one had to know what those walls have witnesses, what disgusting things. The walls were made of white stone and were a sight to behold in the clear night under the light of the moon. But they were about to be turned to crimson.

'And I shall be the one to paint them. I shall show the lord what real pain is like.'

He once more entered the shadows and made his way towards the lord's mansion.

"It's good that I practiced this daily. It really comes in handy." (Rhaxtyx)

His target was already set so there was no reason to hesitate.

As he approached the inner parts of the city, the number of soldiers increased as well. Not this many soldiers were patrolling the outer regions.

'I was expected? Good. At least there's someone who is smart enough to prepare for my arrival.'

He climbed the walls of the inner region and saw that there were frequent patrols on there as well. Once he landed he was spotted and was attacked by arrows. He dodged them and charged at the enemy troops.

His plan was simple, kill off the enemy on the walls and keep the alarm going off. This lead to the soldiers that are close to the part where he was would be aware of the situation and hunting them down would be easier. Instead of fighting a whole force, he would fight smaller groups.

The enemy soldiers stood no chance against Rhaxtyx. His spells were too powerful to even dodge, too fast for their eyes. His use of {Firebolt} and {Sonic Boom} made him a true nightmare for these soldiers. His swords swings were not that polished but with his brute strength alone he could crush the bones of his enemies.

'It's good that I picked this magic sword. It really helps when I don't have the instant to chant. But if I spend too much time here than they'll have the chance to better prepare. It's best I move.'

Thus he kept on moving after killing the second group on the walls. The lord's mansion was closer now and Rhaxtyx felt an agitation in his mana. Something or someone was trying to interfere with it. He looked around and realized that the number of soldiers was reduced compared to the outer parts of the inner section.

'That's weird. Am I being watched?'

He landed in front of the doors of the mansion and saw that the doors were wide open, no soldiers inside the mansion grounds.

'What the hell? I know I'm quite intimidating but this is too much.'

He entered the mansion grounds casually and walked towards the front door while keeping his vigil. The mansion grounds were designed beautifully; the road was pavement and was well-kept, there were various statues of different people, most likely previous lords, next to the road at five-meter intervals, and the grass was well kept, not exceeding a few centimeters in length. There was also a garden not far away and near it was a gazebo with luxurious looking wooden coffee table and straw chairs.

"It looks like the lord lives in quite the way while his people suffer. Don't you think so too?" (Rhaxtyx)

"That is not for you to concern yourself with, demon." (???)

*woosh*

After an answer was given to Rhaxtyx's casual remark, a wind swept past him, making his white hair dance and revealing his crimson eyes. The sound belonged to a woman and was quite pleasant to listen to.

"I was expecting a red carpet or something for my arrival. You disappoint me." (Rhaxtyx)

"A demon like yourself should be honored to even be able to stand in that walkway."

"I will not bother with an explanation to a dead person."

"Hoo. What confidence you have. You continued to advance even though you entered my detection array. I'm sure you noticed it so answer me this, is this the bravery of an idiot or over-confidence of an ignorant?"

"Do you guys have a conversation manual or something? That Kalim bastard uttered some similar things before he died. I also don't see the need to answer your question as you'll see very soon."

"I heard. It is a pity but I should say that he was also a dog to our lord. Nothing more than a pawn."

"I can understand that. So? How will you be entertaining me today, Mrs. Wizard."

When Rhaxtyx looked towards the mansion door, he saw the source of the voice. This woman was quite tall and was a natural blonde. She had nice curves and her blue eyes were penetrating. She smirked and took out her staff. Spinning it once and then planting it on the ground.

"You shall receive divine judgement, demon."
