The Dragon Amulet

Before the fight started, Shen Nu turned to a group of fancy golden chairs to the north of his stage, in the seats were some the most important people within the Azure Empire. There was the Emperor himself, his daughter and son as well as the man Shen Nu vowed he would kill, His uncle and current head of the Shen family, Shen Wu.

Shen Nu turned to the referee and Shen Mei and said" I request to postpone our fight for a few minutes, I would like to speak to my uncle, Shen Wu. I will be quick."

The referee looked at Shen Mei who nodded her head, he then turned back to Shen Nu and said" Your opponent has granted your request, be as quick as possible."

Shen Nu smiled, for the last few days, he felt the power in his Spirit Well begin to fluctuate heavily which signified that it was almost ready for him to finish the final tasks need to become a master rank in the spirit path. All he had left do was create and advanced projection and infuse his spiritual power into his meridians so he could allow it flow through him more efficiently.

He decided to do both right now, before his big fight, he knew that the infusing process would carry on into the fight however he could use an advanced projection to speak with his uncle hence his request. Shen Nu placed his hands together and let out a small breath, his body lightly swayed as an exact clone of himself appeared next to him, the clone instantly ran towards the fancy golden chairs and within seconds it was standing before his uncle.

As Shen Nu spoke, the clone repeated the words " Hello Uncle, I would say it is a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you again after a year but that would be a lie. I'm here to tell you what is going to happen to you and the Shen Clan. Firstly I'm going to dismantle your clan piece by piece until there is nothing left and after that, I'm going to find a big pike and stick it through your skull and leave it in the ruins of the clan, So that anyone else who goes after the people I care about knows that it is a mistake."

Shen Wu laughed at the clone and said" So you learn't some fancy spirit tricks, that is not enough to challenge the Shen Clan, you are what? An advanced spirit practitioner? While that is impressive at a young age, it is no where near enough power to destroy the Shen Clan and you know it. Who are you referring to, that I hurt?"

The Clone walked right up to Shen Wu and whispered "I was there when you and your goons killed my mother and father, I'm not just a spirit practitioner but you will see soon enough."

The clone then left Shen Wu and turned towards the Emperor and said" If you also had anything do do with the death of my parents, your head will join my Uncles on a spike. I refuse to play the game of politics, I have spoken and you will listen."

The clone then vanished as Shen Nu turned to Shen Mei and bowed towards her, he then said" I'm ready when you are beautiful."

Shen Mei began channelling her Qi and small flames appeared around her body, she started her body transformation and feathers appeared all over her skin. An majestic aura flew out her body, it was strong enough to nearly suppress Shen Nu, A large Phoenix appeared above her. Shen Nu smiled and struggled to say" You are a lot stronger than I thought you would be, I guess I can't relax in this fight."

Shen Mei laughed and her cute laughter caught Shen Nu off guard, she smiled at him and said" Are you are ready to fight?"

Shen Nu nodded his head, A large Azure dragon instantly appeared above him, his skin was instantly covered in Azure scales, Dragon like claws appeared over his hands and ground under his feet ignited in blue flames. Today was the day the Dragon and the Phoenix would clash for the first time, one was the future of the Shen Clan while the other wished to destroy it.

This clash would go down in history as a defining moment for both of these cultivators for different reasons, it would make the rise of one and the completion of the other...
