The Emperor Is Searching

Chapter 62 - 2] Mma

"Strange." She mused. She finds the camels with loads of goods weird because first, they don't use camels in her town and she has only read about them in books. Then secondly, who could be the owner?

"Foreigners of cause." She answered her own questions.

"But what could they possibly want with mama and papa?" She mused and then a thought crossed her mind. Ximnam and his master. They're finally settling him!

"Ximnam! Brother!" She yelled excitedly and ran inside, first her brother's room and then their parlour when she didn't find him in his room.

"Oh." She mused when she came face to face with the visitors and they aren't who she expected. "Good morning." She greeted every person in the room, but facing just her parents and then she turned to the visitors, not looking them in the face due to she was embarrassed with the way she entered, she said. "Sorry, I thought you were my brother and his trader master."

Nena was suddenly taken by surprise when one of the visitor's rushed to her and hugged her so tightly as if she's dear to the visitor.

Nana stood as still as a rod as the person was still hugging her, she turned to look at her parents but they weren't looking at her, they were looking at themselves, it was as if they're communicating with their eyes.

Nena turned back front. Now looking at one of the visitor's.

He's an old man who seems to be in his late fifties. "How could he still travel?" Nena mused. She averted her eyes quickly away from the older visitor's face when she saw he was also looking at her.

What troubled her the most is the sudden knot in her stomach which she thinks was caused by the older man's expression.

She feels so uneasy by the lack of words ..mostly explanation.

She began to pull away from the embrace, but the woman always falls back on her and she seems to be crying.

"Please, get off me." Nena said, feeling so scared and not sure why makes it much worse.

The woman finally pulled away, wiping at her eyes as if something entered them. She muttered sorry, Nena wasn't sure she heard her correctly.

"Oh Kleila." The woman said now crying loudly, she moved closer and grabbed Nena by the hand.

"Oh my dear Kleila. My little girl,  I'm so sorry." She said and fell back on Nena, hugging her tightly. "You suffered so much in the hands of the people I thought would protect you. I thought it was the safest place so I left you there, not knowing I left you in the pit of hell itself and now you can't remember anything, not even me, your poor Mma. I'm so sorry, please forgive me, my daughter."
