The Factory's Secret

Chapter 24 - Auxiliary 2: Ideas

Caro was in the factory that morning again. She decided to start searching a way to bring the twins' parents on Earth again. She thought of some submarine that would be able to resist the digital sea's flows. It was a very complicated program that she had been working on for two months now. She had many ideas, but putting them into the submarine was very complicated. She would also have to create a garage territory to get her submarine in it. Since the two girls had a computer, they helped Caro often and they were working really faster that way. Since she had started working on it, Caro hadn't been able to stop. It might already have been two months, but it was just the beginning. Caro estimated that her work would at least have to last six months to be sure that the submarine wouldn't get destroyed by the digital flows on their first mission. While Luna and Lena were working on the garage territory, Caro was working on the submarine's sonar, motors, commands and design details. She might be exhausted, but she wasn't going to stop working. X.A.R.A. was very calm, yes, but Caro couldn't take any risks that he attacked before she finished the submarine. She thought it was impossible, but she had to finish as soon as possible to be able to fight X.A.R.A. better than ever. There would be a two place c.o.c.kpit and six mini-submarines to be used against whatever X.A.R.A. prepared them as monsters in the international network that was the digital sea.

"Caro, we finished our first stowage point in the territory." Luna said.

"Please tell me how it will look." Caro implored.

Since they started to create, the twins had kept their pearl a secret to their friends. Nobody knew what that territory would look like except them, which frustrated Caro a little. She always liked to boss the operations. For her, not knowing what would happen to her submarine was a deadly wait. She wanted to be sure about everything in this project. But this detail was too important. She had spent an entire day day trying to sneak in the girls' room to find their computer and check their work out. Unfortunately for her, she was surprised by Luna. Madd was depressed since Mike had left to see his sick grandmother in England. It had been two weeks Madd hadn't got out of her room. Happy for her it was vacation. It was okay for everybody to stay near the supercomputer to watch X.A.R.A. during vacation. Madd's father died at a very young age and when her mother wasn't drunk she was asleep. Jo lived at ten minutes of walking from the school and Caro just had to tell her parents she had too much work to come home and her parents were to proud of their daughter to complain and let her stay. Luna and Lena lived at school or with Caro. Her parents already loved the two girls. The submarine's project was an idea from Caro though. She had good ideas all the time, but this one was epic, as Luna and Lena thought. They would go sometimes on Aria, just to talk to Xuli and Xina, who always missed the girls. Caro also had to work on a scan that would detect any anormal activity in the towers of Aria that would be X.A.R.A. She might have got a full schedule, but she didn't forget her friends. She was at factory most of the time but she could also work on the databases from Aria, which she liked. Xina and Xuli also helped at creating the submarine even if their capacities were limited to commands because of Caro's bossy side. That didn't bother them. They just wanted to exterminate X.A.R.A. and be able to come on Earth and risk nothing. The elevator's doors opened up, showing Madd and her new depressed face. When Caro turned she had the surprise of her life.

"What did you do to your hair!" she yelled.

"What? That's my original color. Don't you like it? Because it seems like nobody likes me anymore. People go in England to avoid me." Madd answered, upset.

"I like it. It's just because I never thought of you're hair that way. And for the hundredth time, Mike didn't leave because of you, but because of family issues." Caro tried to calm her down.

"That's what they all say." she sadly answered.

"Don't worry, he'll be back soon enough." Caro convinced her.

"Can we stop talking about it please? How can I help you?" Madd asked.

"You want to help me?" Caro surprisingly said.

"Yes. Is there a probleme with that?" Madd asked.

"No it's just rare that you help me. Come. Did you bring your computer?" Caro asked.

Madd made a hand sign showing a plastic bag containing her computer. She sat, letting Caro show her what to do.
