The Factory's Secret

Mark examined the scanners closely. He thought he was on the right way to finish his, but he was just getting started.

"It will be a long process. But I'll help you, it'll be faster." Caro suggested.

They left the other friends alone to go work some scanners this afternoon.

The group of five got back to school a few moments later. They walked in the park and didn't have much to say.

"Do you guys trust Mark," Jo asked to the twins.

They looked at him strangely.

"Of course we do. He could be related in any way with our parents." Luna answered a little brusquely.

The kept on walking in the yard, Lena and Luna went their own way, wanting to discuss more privately about what happened. Jo, Madd and Mike were just leaving when they saw the light poles turning on and off repeatedly. Luna and Lena started floating up in the air, crawling to get back on Earth.

"What was that?" Madd questioned.

"I don't know, but people don't randomly start flying after the light poles go crazy." Jo said.

"Let's check on X.A.R.A." Lena said.

They rushed in the college and to Luna's room, which was closer.

"Do you want the battery here?" Caro proposed.

"Yes, that's a good idea." Mark accepted.

Caro's phone rang.

"Hey Madd, what's up?" She asked in the phone.

Mark stared at her, waiting for the details.

"Okay I'm coming." She hung up.

"What is it?" Mark asked.

"X.A.R.A. attacks. Come with me!" Caro ran in the direction of the factory.

They started their jogging pretending to hide from everyone else.

At the factory, Lena started virtualizing her friends, Madd, Mike and Jo first. The doors of the elevator opened and Caro got behind the computer.

"You two! Scanner room let's go!" Caro stressed her friends without wanting.

The twins took a scanner each and Caro virtualized them. As they stepped on Aria, they could all see the futurist decorations of the river sector.

"The tower is on the right centre plateau. Accompanied by thirty ants and turtles." Caro informed them.

"No problem." Madd reassured Caro.

They arrived at the tower. They tried to hide, but on a territory such as the river, it was hard finding a place on a n.a.k.e.d land.

"Are you ready. Let Luna and I behind." Lena said.

"Xuli and Xina are coming to help." Caro said.

They saw Xina with some bowl in her hands. It was a white porcelain bowl. When she came up to the group with her brother, they all asked what was it.

"It's a new attack I've been working on recently." Xina said excitedly.

She was cute and she mixed the paste.

"What is it exactly?" Mike asked.

"It's cake!" she said.

The friends looked at each other, not knowing whether they should taste.

"I'm kidding... It's a part of every territory. The ground of the candy land, a branch of the forest, sand of the desert, and water of the river. It's really long to make, but I like it." Xina explained.

"But what is it useful for?" Caro asked.

"It's a trick. If you pour this on the tower's database board when it's on the deactivation function, the tower will never possibly be activated again!" Xina showed the bowl to her friends.

"So you pour it, the deactivates itself and the world is saved?" Luna tried to understand.

"Exactly! It's just like a regular deactivation, but with a bonus. One day, X.A.R.A. won't be able to find towers to activate on Aria." Xina finished explaining.

"That's great! Ready to attack?" Madd asked.

"I have a plan." Lena said.

They approached Lena and lowered their voices

"Okay so..." Lena had just started that the monsters were already attacking.

Jo had already lost twenty points on a hundred, Madd was at fifty left. But Lena and Luna were protected just like Xuli and Xina.

"Madd!" Luna said.

She had created a hole and a hand composed by the materials of the ground and asked Madd to push monsters in the hole.

"I'm coming." she said, killing a turtle.

The power of the hand put six ants and three turtles in the hole after long efforts.

"Get ready!" Xina announced the stop of time.

Mike's saber was ready to kill a row of three ants and Jo lance was about to hit two turtles. Madd was propulsing three other turtles in the sea after them rolling back to her. Xuli was preparing a sandstorm benefiting him on the turtle's rolling. The time was unfrozen when Xina was almost at the tower. She had some left to run, but a monster hit her and made her lose thirty life points right away. During this attack, Caro heard a loud noise coming from the superior levels.

"I'm sorry to bother you, but I'll have to go check what all that noise is about." Caro explained.

She knew about what had happened to Luna and Lena earlier that day, they were literally floating. But when she got to the higher levels, she saw the factory had no more roofs. The attack was a rupture of the magnetic champ. Which made everything fly. She had to get back in the bas.e.m.e.nts fast or she'd be slurped up in space. She got back to the laboratory just when she saw Xina's pictogram enter the tower. She rapidly materialized back Luna and Lena before they suffered from injuries and let Mike and Jo get home after Madd was devirtualized by an ant. She launched the return in the past program so the factory could have its roof back.

"So? Did your mixture work?" Caro asked to Xina.

"It did! The tower no longer has a halo.

"What was the attack about?" Madd asked.

"Rupture of the magnetic field." Caro said.

"So...?" Jo tried to understand.

"Things floating everywhere, gravity is weaker and these thing keep on flying and they never come back to their places." Caro said.

After that discussion, they got back to school, Mark to his own place. They all were very tired, but they had to go eat dinner before 7 PM. Luna and Lena wanted to research more about today's new informations, but even Caro was too tired to help them.
