The God System

Mary passed the third test extremely easily and she walked out of the last room to see the receptionist standing before her as she said "Congratulations! It wasn't too difficult, was it?"

Mary shook her head and said "It was much easier than I anticipated"

The woman smiled and handed Mary a white card that had her name on it and information. One the back in golden letters were the words Magician's Guild.

The woman began to lead Mary back as she explained to her what permissions she had in the Magician's Guild, and what placed she could and could not go to, just the basics.

After they arrived back into the main hall, where they started from the woman had finished explaining everything to Mary, and Mary thanked her before asking where the library was, and the woman gave her directions.

Mary followed them and as she was headed there she saw the same group of people who were taunting her and Abel last time, and she ignored them as she realized, through repeated verbal lashings by Abel, that she was unable to beat them right now.

They also saw her and taunted and Mary just frowned but said nothing more as she walked towards the library set on doing the job Abel asked her to do.

She began to read books on ancient magic items, and antiques, as she was hoping to find the information Abel was searching for.

Eventually, she found some information pertaining to the crystal ball and jotted it down, so she could tell it to Abel later.

After finding the information that Abel needed she decided to do some research of her own and wanted to see if there was any spell books or grimoires that she could use to learn some more spells in order to be of more help to Abel.

Looking through a ton of shelves she found some books that were usable for the current her, and she began to read them as she slowly got lost in thought her mind glued onto the pages.

She did not know for how long she was reading, but when she was finally awakened it was already night out, and the lights inside the Library had switched on. The lights were powered by magic, so they would not catch any of the books on fire if unattended.

Mentally cursing herself for being too focused on the book and making Abel wait and worry for her she quickly put the books back before she headed out of the library and towards the hotel where Abel had planned for them to meet.

She arrived a short time later and told the inn lady that Abel already bought a room, and she was just going to head up to go with him. The woman nodded and said something about young couples which caused Mary to blush as she headed up the stairs.

Mary entered the room and saw Abel sitting on the bed thinking about something deeply, and when he saw Mary enter he smiled and had an eyebrow raised.

Understanding this Mary nodded as she said "I found out what it is", this excited Abel as he hurriedly said, "Well tell me, what is that stupid crystal ball?"
