Roan rested for one whole day, but his broken bones were not yet fully healed. He decided to spend the rest of the day inside the cave and he suddenly grew curious after looking at the wicked looking fruits all day.

He then thought of catching a small beast to test if the wicked looking fruit was truly as poisonous as it looked like.

He went outside the cave and caught a small beast which had similarities with a rabbit. It was a white ball of fur with cute appearance, if not when Roan saw it ate a dead carcass of a high level beast, then he would have gladly took the small beast as a pet.

He held the struggling beast tightly and plucked a piece of the wicked looking fruit. He forced it in the beast's little mouth and its red pupils rolled up, before it lost consciousness.

Roan sighed and thanked his lucky stars that he did not eat the wicked looking fruit. He might have died from eating those strange fruits.

He glanced at the breathless fur ball amd felt that his hands were getting warmer. Accurately, it was the small that was getting warmer in his hands. He heard a swalling sound and the fruit that choke the little beast was swallowed whole. Its red pupils can be seen scrutinizing Roan angrily.

The small beast roared loudly which was a stark contrast to its little body. But moments after, the beasts struggled fiercely in Roan's grip. It bared its sharp teeth and open its mouth wide in an attempt to bite his arm.

Roan released the beast and stared at it coldly. It might be cute, but if the beast will harm him, then he did not mind cooking it for dinner.

Suddenly, the beast which was thrown away by Roan expanded in size visibly. Its growth did not stop until it was twice as tall as him.

The once small beast now looked like a polar bear with one horn growing on top of its head. Its reddish eyes glowed with profound anger and its long and sharp claws gleamed coldly.

He unsheathed his Sword of Lamentation and swiftly killed the beast in one sword strike. Its huge head rolled on the ground, and its now headless body dropped on the now bloodied stony ground.

He plucked the wicked looking fruits and stored it inside his ring. He looked at the fruit in his hands and decided to taste it.

The first evolution provided him with an addition fifty points in all stats. And the second evolution provided a plus one hundred in all stats.

He was now a rank 2 evolver, a rank higher than Karl who was only a rank 1 evolver. But Karl evolved naturally, while he evolved with the helped of the Devil Fruit. But the fact the he evolve twice in a row, shows that he was also a genius in his own right.

With his strength now almost doubled, he was sure that he can now fight the boar king equally. His beautiful eyes glowed with profound light as he remembered the wretched face of the boar king. He will surely roast that fat pig if he was given another opportunity to fight it.

He saw Blizzard lying on his bed lazily, and even after the emergence of that Berserk Icy Bear, the little wolf cub was still sleeping soundly.

He placed a Devil Fruit near its nose and he saw the little nose of the wolf cub move slowly. Its big round eyes sprung open and it hastily bit the Devil Fruit in Roan's hands.

He smiled dotingly and petted the small head of the wolf cub as it happily munched the Devil Fruit.

After finishing the Devil Fruit, he burped and rolled on the bed lazily before going back to sleep.

Roan who saw its actions merely smiled and just joined the wolf cub in bed.
