The Hunter Academy

Chapter 21 - I need to get him to be my friend!

Sahazel shrugged and left the dojo.

"My name is Emily Faulkner!" The woman, no, Emily shouted as she watched Sahazel's back move away.

Sahazel did not stop this time, he was already tired of enduring this annoying woman.

Emily sighed when she saw Sahazel leave without turning around, she entered the dojo again with a sad expression on her face.

"Just when I thought I finally got a friend," she sighed.

"Why couldn't I feel the true nature of his heart? It is impossible for him not to have d.e.s.i.r.es, feelings or a way of being," she murmured confusedly.

She couldn't believe that he didn't have a heart but her king attribute had never failed before (fail completely, not like with Arthur and Jeanne whom she could see part of her heart), but something told her that this time her king attribute had failed completely.

She suddenly thought of something and was stunned as she looked at the shinai she had used to fight Sahazel. She took the shinai and it split in half.

She looked at the shinai with a blank gaze and muttered "I have lost... I have lost for the first time in a sword spar".

(Mysterious boy... Who exactly are you?) thought the girl.

Sahazel would have been surprised to see Emily's face at this moment, the serious face of the girl at this moment did not coincide with her innocent and idiot attitude.

That face didn't last long before returning to her idiot face.

"I need to get him to be my friend!" Determination was seen in Emily's eyes.

Sahazel was back in the dorms. Setanta was surprised to see the strange expression on Sahazel's face.

"Is something wrong?" He asked worried, it was the first time he had ever seen such an expression on Sahazel's face.

Setanta knew that Sahazel had perfect control over the expressions on his face and the expressions he showed were only because he wanted to show them, something Setanta envied, but Sahazel's expression was so strange at the moment that Setanta was sure that he was not faking it.

Sahazel frowned, lips curled in a smile and irritation in his eyes.

Sahazel looked at Setanta and his expression returned to his original boring expression.

"I think I just found the person with the lowest IQ who has appeared on earth in many, many years"

"Just that?" Setanta was confused, there are many fools in the world and they weren't such a big deal.

"We've had a spar on sword skills with the powers of both sealed and I've needed two moves to be able to disarm her"

"That many!?" Setanta opened his eyes wide.

"Besides, she has an attribute king"

"What?" Setanta thought he was dreaming.

"What's one of those old geezers doing in the academy?" He asked confusedly, only some of those old farts could withstand so many movements against Sahazel and possess an attribute king at the same time.

For Setanta, it was impossible for a young person who possessed an king attribute to be able to endure two movements of Sahazel as they would focus on familiarizing themselves with their king attribute and set the rest aside. Arthur was one of the exceptions as he had been trained by Chaos and Mordred not to put aside his skills with the sword.

"She was a young woman, looking under 25" Sahazel explained.

Setanta frowned, that girl should have a special status or received some blessing in order to reach that height from such a young age.

"What is her Hunter level," Setanta asked.

"I haven't looked at it, I was just thinking of escaping from that annoying woman" Sahazel shrugged.

"Sigh" Setanta sighed at Sahazel's personality, he always did what he wanted.

"Her king attribute was Heart Exposed, I think you know perfectly well how terrible that king attribute can be if she perfects it" Sahazel adopted a serious expression when dealing with Emily's king attribute.

"Heart Exposed... That's very problematic, it can equal Arthur's "ruler" if it is used correctly." Setanta agreed it was a problematic attribute.

"At the moment it seems that she can only use it while she is fighting and she can't see through certain seals either, she hasn't been able to see through my heart either because..."

"because you don't have a heart, it's obvious that you haven't been able to look through something you don't have" Setanta interrupted Sahazel. "I'm sure she's been stunned thinking you don't have emotions."

"I didn't bother to clarify it either" Sahazel shrugged again and adopted his boring expression again.

The two boys were silent after their discussion was over. Sahazel sighed when he felt the future was going to be problematic, but smiled when he thought it would also be interesting.

"Something tells me I'm going to meet that woman again."

...…

A week had passed since the initial tests, so a week had also passed since the conflict with class B. There were currently 38 days left for the Hunter Duel where all Class D resources were to be decided for this quarter.

Atalanta felt a headache when she thought it was safest that she had to pay for her students' resources.

"The salary they pay me is not enough to pay all these expenses, I'm going to be ruined. Why the hell did I say I was going to pay for my students' resources?" Atalanta muttered underneath as she looked at the number of funds inside her black identity card.

She was sitting at the teacher's table, waiting for the students to arrive for the second class of the academic year. On Mondays there was a general class with the class tutor while the rest of the days there were specific classes with associate teachers, Saturdays and Sundays were free days for the students to do what they wanted as long as they fell within the rules.

The bell that indicated the time to start the classes began to ring and the students of class D entered the classroom.

If the class had been a few days after the conflict with class B, the students would have entered with a more decayed aura. But with the passage of the week along with Atalanta's promise to pay them the resources in case they lost the Hunter Duel, it had relaxed them quite a bit.

The students entered slowly, some were wide awake while others still showed signs of waking up a short time ago.

Ryan and Austin were surprisingly the first to enter class. Ryan had dark circles under his eyes, a symbol that he had not slept well these past few days.

Fleur and Amy came in at some point, both were awake and ready to get better.

"Whoever puts the classes so early in the morning, whoever did it sure wants to kill me" A voice was heard from the door.

Everyone looked at the door and Atalanta frowned but relaxed when she saw who they were.

Setanta and Sahazel entered the classroom and headed to their places. Setanta kept complaining about the bass while Sahazel kept yawning.

"You complain a lot but you don't stop talking, you look like a dog" Sahazel hit Setanta in the back of the neck when he didn't stop talking.

"Sorry" Setanta bowed his head and keep quite.

They sat in their place in the corner of the class, Sahazel leaned his head on the desk as soon as he sat down and fell asleep at once.

Atalanta saw that all his students had arrived so she decided to start with the lesson.

She got up and wrote a series of words on the board.

"Weapon Selection?" they all wondered as they saw the words written on the board.
