The Hunter Academy

Chapter 20 - You don´t have emotions

"Huh?"

Sahazel looked at the girl leaning toward him in confusion.

"What are you apologizing for?"

The girl looked Sahazel in the eyes, she was drawn to Sahazel's beautiful emerald green eyes.

(What beautiful eyes) She thought.

"I was using your classroom for sword training without permission, so I am apologizing"

Sahazel looked at the girl strangely.

"It's okay" Sahazel turned around to leave the building.

"Wait!"

Sahazel was a few steps from the exit when he heard the woman's voice.

"Yes?" Sahazel turned slightly to look at the girl's face.

The woman was also confused, she didn't know why she had stopped Sahazel at this moment but something told her she had to.

"Aren't you going to ask anything?" she asked confusedly.

"No" answered Sahazel with a flat voice.

"Don't you want to know my name?

"I don't care" Sahazel shrugged.

The woman was briefly stunned, this was the first time they had ignored her this way. Even though she was a very pure girl, she knew she was a beauty out of the ordinary.

The girl's curiosity for Sahazel grew. Sahazel saw the girl's stunned face but paid no attention to it, he turned around again and continued walking toward the exit.

A blur swept through the room of the dojo and stopped in front of Sahazel before he could leave the room, a wooden sword was in Sahazel's neck preventing him from moving.

Sahazel smiled as he saw the woman standing in front of him, though he hid the smile before she could see it.

The girl's black eyes were fixed on Sahazel's emerald green eyes, she was surprised when she saw Sahazel's calm look after seeing her fast movement.

"Aren't you surprised?"

"Unlike you, I'm not easily surprised and even if I do, I try to hide it," Sahazel replied.

The woman thought Sahazel's flat voice was very irritating, she clenched her teeth to resist the urge to hit Sahazel to see if she could gain some energy.

"Now you're irritated, probably thinking of something bad about me," Sahazel spoke.

The woman's mouth opened, forming an O, in surprise.

"How do you know?" she asked curiously.

"Sigh, you don't even bother to hide it," Sahazel sighed tired.

"That doesn't matter, tell me how you knew it was thought. Is it some kind of Hunter power?" She was excited when she talk about Hunter powers.

"You don't have to have a psychic type Hunter power to be able to guess what you're thinking, it's all written on your face" Sahazel pointed to the girl's beautiful face.

"Ah!" The girl covered her face with both hands, dropping the wooden sword to the ground.

Sahazel's eyebrows trembled slightly at the sight of her reaction.

(I had been thinking about it for some time but now I have confirmed it. This pure girl is an idiot!)

Sahazel took advantage of the woman's covering her face to escape the dojo before she could do anything.

"It's not fair that you can...! Huh?" The girl slowly withdrew her hands from her face and was stunned when she didn't see Sahazel in front of her.

Sahazel was already opening the door of the dojo to leave when he felt a hand touch his shoulder.

"Why are you leaving now? Don't you want to talk to me a little?" The woman asked him with tearful eyes.

(I want to go, I want to escape from here NOW!)

Sahazel raised his hand to open the door when he heard sobs behind him.

(NO, NOT THOSE EYES!)

…..

Two people were inside the dojo, each with a wooden sword in his hands.

"Sigh, how did it come to this? sighed Sahazel.

He had heard the woman's sobs and had turned only to meet the legendary puppy eyes.

Yes, I'm talking about that begging kitten look that can break anyone's heart.

The woman took a strange leap of joy as she screamed at the sight that Sahazel was willing to speak to her. After that, Sahazel had been bombarded with questions by the strange woman.

Most of the questions had something to do with knowing Sahazel's identity or whether Sahazel was interested in the woman's identity. Sahazel cleverly escaped those questions, he knew that something very bad would happen if he told her his name or if he asked her name.

The girl was very frustrated by Sahazel's constant refusals, she even made a ncute pout or repeated the strategy of the puppy eyes but this time it didn't work.

She got up frustrated from the chair and picked up two wooden swords before throwing one at Sahazel. Sahazel looked at her as if he were asking (Why are you giving me this?), he obviously had no intention of taking the sword as he dodged it instead of catching it.

"Urgg" The woman clenched her teeth and picked up again the sword Sahazel had dropped. She stood in front of him and put the sword in his face.

"What do you want," Sahazel asked.

"A fair fight, if I win then you will tell me your name and if you win then I will tell you my name" She said with a face full of justice.

"I refuse" Sahazel refused without hesitation.

"Why," asked the confused girl.

"You have much more level that I, it is obvious that I am going to lose besides that the two rewards are in your favor".

The sword in the girl's hand shook slightly.

"How could you have guessed that?" she asked in shock.

(Should I kill her? I think it would do the world good if I did.) Sahazel thought at the sight of what an idiot the woman in front of him was.

"Let's change the rules, if you want you can do whatever you want with me and we'll only fight in sword skills and we won't use our Hunter powers" The girl said desperately in her voice.

Sahazel thought it over carefully (If I win, I can ask her to stay thousands of miles away so I don't have to come across her again).

Sahazel's face lit up when he came to that thought. Although the woman was very beautiful, she had no brain at all so the best thing Sahazel could do was to separate as much as possible from her or maybe problems came to him just because he was close to her.

"I accept" Sahazel accepted before the woman could retract and grabbed the sword from the woman's hands.

"Eh?" The woman was slow to react to Sahazel's sudden change of heart. She then smiled from the bottom of her heart and followed Sahazel to the center of the dojo where the small fighting arena was.

Sahazel grabbed the sword carelessly and looked at the smiling woman who was heading the other side of the arena.

The woman placed the Shinai (the wooden sword used in kendo, I just found it on the internet XD) in the position of drawing or laijutsu.

The smile on the woman's face disappeared and the atmosphere of the dojo changed. Sahazel could feel that every last molecule had turned into a sharp katana that was ready to cut her target's throat.

Sahazel's eyebrows rose in surprise. He smiled widely, and did not hide his smile this time, feeling the atmosphere inside the dojo. He had entered the dojo as he had felt this aura but much more amplified and wanted to look for the person emitting it, why the aura was weaker now was because the woman was not using her Hunter powers and probably her attributes were related to the art of the sword.

"Are you ready?" asked the woman seriously.

Sahazel nodded, he still held that careless stance. The woman frowned at the thought that he was underestimating her.

"You better not underestimate me, I am very good with the sword," she reminded him.

She was a very honest person and did not want to win the fight because of the carelessness of her adversary as that would be out of her way as a swordsman.

Sahazel simply kept smiling and did not change or correct his posture. The woman thought it was enough to warn him once and decided to start the fight.

They were about 10 meters apart. She ran and closed a distance of 5 meters quickly.

(She is very fast even without her Hunter powers) Sahazel praised her in his mind.

When she reached the 5-meter mark, she drew (made the draw motion even though she had no casing) and cut the distance between the two in thousandths of a second.

Although that was an instantaneous speed for 95% of the people without using Hunter powers, Sahazel reacted quickly and blocked the attack with the body of his shinai and hit the woman's waist with the handle of the sword, shifting her a few meters.

She was stunned for a moment, she could not believe that her 100% kill move had been so easily defended and even counterattacked. She reacted quickly and got on the defensive thinking that Sahazel was going to attack taking advantage that she had fallen.

She looked at Sahazel and saw him standing in the same place as at the start of the battle. He had a smile that wasn´t a smile on his face.

"I don't underestimate you, I just have confidence"

Sahazel's words lacked emotions as usual, the woman was enraged and left behind all her defense to focus on the attack.

Sahazel denied on the inside at the sight of her reaction.

(She is very good seed, but she is too pure. She doesn't know how to control her emotions and she lets herself go easily, at least with a sword in her hand it seems more or less serious but when she doesn't have the sword...)

Sahazel did not want to keep thinking, he did not want to remember the 20 minutes of nightmare where the girl had not stopped talking at any time.

(Even that Setanta dog doesn't talk that much when he's excited)

While Sahazel was thinking this, the woman was attacking Sahazel with all her forces but all her attacks had been being repelled by him.

Sahazel got tired of playing the woman and decided to go on the offensive. With one movement of his Shinai he sent the woman's shinai flying and with another quick movement he placed the tip of the shinai in the woman's throat, imitating the movement she had used to prevent him from leaving the dojo.

"You've lost"

Sahazel left his shinai on the shelf and proceeded to leave the dojo, this time the woman did not attempt to stop him.

"May I ask you one last question?"

Sahazel's forehead wrinkled, obviously tired of her questions, but he said nothing when he noticed that the woman's voice was strangely serious.

The woman took Sahazel's silence for a yes.

"I have a very special power, they call it king attribute, called Heart Exposed and with it I can know the true heart of a person and thus detect its true nature.

Sahazel turned and stared the girl in the eye for any sign that she was lying.

"Why are you telling me this?" he asked as he found no sign that she was lying.

The girl did not reply and continued to speak "For example, when I fought Arthur Pendragon I could detect that he had the heart of a wise king and warrior and I could also detect traces of something else that I could not find out".

Sahazel nodded inwardly, what he could not see was probably its chaotic nature that was currently sealed next to his Chaos attribute.

"When I fought Jeanne d´Arc, I was able to detect her pure heart and I was also able to detect traces of something different from Arthur's that I could not detect.

"I don't know what you're getting at." Sahazel wanted her to get to the real thing.

"When I was fighting with you my king attribute was activated unconsciously, it's not something I can control"

"So?" Sahazel was starting to get irritated when he saw so much pause.

Sahazel wanted it to end now, he already knew what she was going to say and was getting impatient.

"The two previous examples were the only cases that I had not been able to feel part of a person's heart, your case is the third one but it is also different from theirs".

"What's the difference?"

"I couldn't feel anything, I mean..."She stopped for a moment because she couldn't even believe what she was going to say.

"You don't have emotions"
