The Kings

53 CEO Yun

But wouldn't it seem rude? Though he did say, I am welcome to come in at any time. Well, his actual word was, 'Would you like to live here with me?'.

After being unable to make a decision right away, I ended up ringing the doorbell. It was rather quiet inside, though I did drop him a text that I will be coming over. I tried ringing the doorbell again in case he was still sleeping. On that second doorbell, someone finally came to open the door.

There, stood everyone husband to be, Julian. He opened the door shirtless, showing off his wow abs. A ten out of ten for his body! I almost ended up giving him a few claps.

Julian did not greet me right away as he would usually. Instead, he was staring at me up and down. From his expression, I could tell he did not get my text that I was coming over. Especially so early in the morning as well.

"Good morning~," Julian drowsily greeted, half awake and half asleep. "Why are you here so early in the morning, beautiful?"

"Sorry, did I wake you up?" I apologized, feeling bad I woke up Julian who barely had enough sleep these days.

"Since it's you," Julian winked, "You're always welcome to wake me up. A kiss, preferably."

I rolled my eyes at how flirty he was so early in the morning. Before I had another chance to speak again, another voice came from behind him.

"Julian~, who is here?"

I smiled and lifted one eyebrow, "Am I interrupting something?"

Without even asking, I knew I already bumped into something I wasn't supposed to.

"No wonder my handsome has been very tired lately," I teased, holding back my laughter. Usually, these women of his will be out of his place by now.

"Jealous?" He folded his arms and leaned against the door frame.

I scoffed, shaking my head at the nonsense coming out of his mouth.

Jealous? Never. I had enough on my plate to deal with, and that was only with one person. Running away from one person was more than enough to make me tired.

"Bad timing, I'll just call you later." I turned to walk away, but my hand was grabbed before I could take another step.

"No, come in." Julian smiled, his real smile. Not the fake gentleman smile he puts on for show.

I took a peek inside but did not see anyone. Although that doesn't mean, no one is inside.

"I think not," I rejected his invite. I didn't want to get into a cat fight that had nothing to do with me. If another person slaps me again, I might go berserk on them considering what happened this morning.

"Give me a minute," Julian walked into the guest room on the far left.

I leaned my back against the wall, acting like I wasn't listening in, but jeez was it coming on through clear as day.

He was telling whoever was in there to leave because he has a guest. Knowing Julian for a while now, there was currently no patience in his voice. Meanwhile, I can hear the woman scrambling like crazy to grab her belongings. It was to the point that I heard her putting on her clothes.

Oh goodness, good thing I decided to not barge in earlier! My eyes were almost tinted so early in the morning! Who knows, I might have walked in on a naked woman with practically nothing on.

Quickly, I rubbed away the goosebumps on my arms.

When the woman hurried out of his condo, I accidentally made eye contact with her. Big mistake, I knew there was trouble coming for me the moment I did.

"Come in," Julian beckoned.

When I came in closer contact with him, I could feel his arm was about to wrap around my waist.

"I'm here on official business," I swatted his flirty hand away from me.

"Whatever you say, beautiful." Julian shrugged, with another attempt to wrap his arm around my waist.

Finishing up my official business at Julian's place, I arrived on time in front of Mu Corporate.

I was even a minute early! Yay! Though Hui Yin wasn't all that impressed that I made it on time.

"Is that how you should treat your employer?" I joked, putting on my sunglasses to carry a more authoritative vibe.

"If all employer is like you," Hui Yin sarcastically replied, swiping to the left on the tablet to review our presentation.

"Don't worry! No worry!" I chanted to help Hui Yin calm down and gave her an encouraging pat.

Based on Hui Yin and my conversation, we seemed like the only one going to meet up with Mu Yi. But behind me was a few New Image employees who will be in on the project as well. I had switched out almost everyone who was on the original team.

It goes without saying, they were most surprised at my appearance as their CEO. There was no time to explain, and it was an excellent way to test their mentality. It is called adapting to the situation!

I have to say, I am very proud of how quickly they adapted themselves to the circumstance right away.

As expected, Mu Yi met up with us the moment he heard we had arrived. He was dressed in the same suit he had on this morning. So dashing!

Proudly and confidently I walked up to Mu Yi.
