52 Held Me Against My Will

"Yes?"

"CEO Yun, turns out we still have one huge problem!" Hui Yin panicked voice came through.

I already knew what problem Hui Yin was talking about, "Don't worry about it. I got it taken care of already. Please get my outfit ready for today."

"Right away," Hui Yin sighed in relief, wiping the sweat off her forehead. She was worrying all night long about this issue, but she waited until it was morning to contact Yun Anong.

I got off the phone after reassuring Hui Yin I got everything under control. Sigh, I need to pull myself together. Grabbing my things off the ground, I made sure to not leave anything behind. Which I only brought along my bag and phone.

However, I wasn't cruel enough to leave without leaving a note for Mu Yi. Who knows what kind of racket he will create once he finds me missing without a word. I scribbled down a few words on a notepad that was on the nightstand. If I sent him a text, he'd probably be at my car waiting for me. Not even probably, he will be there by the time I get there.

"Mmm, perfect~!" I finished putting a great spin on the note. Mu Yi, don't be mad at me for leaving like this on you. You should be the last person who gets to be mad at me.

So with that, I closed the door leaving behind the nightmare. One I wish to never revisit again.

By the time Mu Yi returned, Anong was nowhere to be seen. He set down the tray of food on the nightstand without noticing the notepad. He made sure to check the bathroom in case she was in there, but she was not there.

"Anong?"

No one responded to his call in the spacious one bedroom hotel.

"Anong!"

Mu Yi checked every place he can within the room, but she was not there anymore. Without any hesitation, he pulled out his phone and speed dial her phone number. Sadly, it went straight to her voicemail. He tried again. Still, no one answered. His fingers repeatedly dialed her phone number over and over, but Anong did not answer his phone call.

"I need you to check where the lady in my room went, now!" Mu Yi yelled at the manager on duty.

"Yes, sir!" The manager on duty immediately got down on the task right away. Everyone who works at Ruby Courtyard Hotel knows that Mu Yi is one of their number one client. If he wants anything from them, he will get it from them.

Mu Yi's patience was running thin with the way Anong will just suddenly disappear without a word. It really wasn't his patience but his sanity. Who knows if she will one day get up and leave like she did seven years ago.

'To Mu Yi, who held me against my will. I, Anong, had successfully escaped your clutches. See you at ten o'clock today!'

Mu Yi's eyes flared up and crumbled up the notepad paper. Earlier, was all that an act?

"Good, very good Anong!" Mu Yi growled.

I went straight to Hui Yin's apartment to get ready there. As expected of my capable assistant, she was able to get a dress to outline my body shape.

"CEO Yun, are you alright?" Hui Yin asked, seeing how paled Yun Anong face was. There was even small trickle of sweats on her forehead.

"Of course!" I made my voice sounded cheerful, then made my way to her bathroom.

It didn't take long for me to get fully ready. I wore a slim black dress with the length to my thighs. It had an elegant slit on the right side of the dress to show off more skin. The dress was a long sleeve and with no cleavage showing. However, it didn't matter as I will top it off with a ruby colored necklace. Last but not least, it was paired up with a pair of red high heels.

Today was not like any other day, sitting in front of Hui Yin's mirror, I put on the finishing touch to my face. I didn't go with the natural look that I had on during the reunion party. I was going into battle, so I needed to put on my battlefield makeup.

Taking out a dark-colored red lipstick, I applied it on to enhance a sexier aura. Wow, did I look different! I looked like a whole different person from who I was a second ago. Even Hui Yin nodded in approval of my makeup choice.

"Just enough time to run another errand," I glanced at the time on my phone. "Hui Yin, I'll meet up with you at Mu Corporation."

Hui Yin didn't appear to be convinced I will actually arrive on time. Though I don't blame her for it because I never showed her I ever did.

"Don't worry, I will this time!" I promised, putting my hands together so she'll give me some pity points.

Still, the ever so frozen face Hui Yin did not budge from her unconvinced appearance.

"I promise! I only show up late sometimes!" I tried my best to persuade her again.

"Sometimes?" Hui Yin finally had some sort of a reaction to my begging.

"Okay, fine! All. The. Time." I corrected myself to the accuracy of my arrival for meetings. It's unfair to judge me based on my arrival time for meetings! I had only five meetings in person ever since I created New Image. "I won't be late this time!"
