58 The Brat Is Back

"I have you down as 'Aunty'!" Tang Liang embarrassedly admit, covering his eyes with his hand as though Yun Anong was there to witness his confession.

He never wanted Yun Anong to find out what he put her down as on his contact list.

"Awww, you did what?" I squealed after taking a few seconds to process what he just said.

How adorable of Tang Liang! I always knew he acknowledges me as his aunt, but his pride was way too high to apparently say it out loud. I can imagine how his face looks like right now. It'd be red as a cherry if it were not currently covered with black ink.

"Ahem, anyway I feel that you should still have my older brother investigate this issue. Prepare for damage control," I advise.

My gut feeling was telling me it wasn't because Tang Liang put my contact name down as 'Aunty.' It seemed odd that Tang Liang's 'friend' will contact me out of everyone. Tang Liang had me on his contact list as 'Aunty,' then it wouldn't be strange for him to have my brothers' contact name be something similar.

But obviously, I wasn't one hundred percent sure either. I could just be overthinking for all I know. However, one thing I learned in life is that I will rather be distrustful of others than let them get the opportunity to betray me.

Seeing that Yun Anong had calmed down and was talking to Tang Liang like normal. Mu Yi laid down next to her and prop himself up with one arm.

"Are you feeling better now?"

Mu Yi reached out his hand to touch her face. He wanted to check she wasn't running a fever or injured anywhere else. A moment ago her temperature was skyrocketing but all the sudden it dropped to normal.

When he stroked her face, he made sure to touch the side Shu Meiying had slapped. He'll make sure to pay Shu Meiying back ten folds, but he's going to let Yun Anong get in on the fun first. It doesn't matter if it was him or Yun Anong who deals with Shu Meiying, but he knows Shu Meiying was done for.

"Who was that..." Tang Liang pressed the phone closer to his ear. Hoping to hear the other person's voice again to better identify them.

"It's CEO Mu," I sat up stretching my arms and legs. "Remember the meeting I have with them today?"

"Still!" Tang Liang exclaimed, how can a meeting take longer than three hours long? What are they doing there, throwing a party to celebrate the collaboration?

"What it's only probably nine..." I moved the phone away from my face to look at the time. Instead, I saw many many missed calls from my best friend. Ah, crap! "I'm late! I'm late!"

"He's going to kill me!" I mumble to myself while I scramble to grab my belongings off the counter. "Later."

I got rid of Tang Liang to have Mu Yi blocking my pathway.

"We are not done talking yet," Mu Yi blocked the doorway with his body. To his surprise, Yun Anong suddenly leaned in and whispered something before pushing him out of the way.

Chu Heng watched as Yun Anong ran past his desk at the speed of lightning. He didn't even get a chance to ask if she was alright.

Rather than asking if she was alright, it was better for him to watch out for himself. Every time Yun Anong leave, his Boss would turn into a moody demon. Chu Heng shivered at the thought and rubbed away the goosebump on his arms.

Chu Heng got up and slowly took a quick peek into his Boss's office. It was dark and quiet in the room. You wouldn't think anyone was in the room if not for Mu Yi sitting at his desk, which was visible right away when entering the room.

Mu Yi surprisingly sat at his desk instead of chasing Yun Anong like usual. He twirled his favorite pen in his hand to the right and then to the left.

"Do you need anything?" Chu Heng forced himself to break the silence. If he had a choice, it would be to pack up his things and go home for the day.

Mu Yi stopped twirling the pen and then turned his chair to face out the window, "The brat is back."

"H-hello?" I answered the phone, breathlessly.

I almost died running all the way to my car, so maybe just maybe I can make it to the airport, three hours later.

"Where the hell have you been!"

"Meeting?"

It wasn't like I was lying when I said I was in a meeting because I was! Just that it took way longer than I had initially anticipated.

"To hell with your meeting. I called your assistant, and that was almost three hours ago." Feng continued to scold me.

"Long explanation," I rummaged through my hair with my hand. I pressed my forehead against the steering wheel to give myself a brief sense of cooling. "Feng, it's getting worse."

I may appear to be completely fine in front of Mu Yi, but I have an awful headache right now. I even blacked out for a second when Tang Liang told me he had me down as 'Aunty' on his contact list. I was able to cover it up by acting like I was shocked at what he had put me down.

Feng narrowed his eyes and put down his legs, resting on the coffee table. If he didn't do it now, Amelia might end up killing him. If daggers can come out of her eyes, millions of them would have stabbed him over and over.
