The Kitsune Demon

Chapter 32 - Overview

The smile on Narutos face was full of wrath, the kind that swallows everything in its path leaving only ashes in its wake. Eventually, Sasuke's training kicked in from his standing position Sasuke aimed a kick at Narutos head. Naruto's eyes widened slightly if he was any other child he would have been sent flying, unfortunately for Sasuke, his kick was blocked on Narutos forearm and his red hair was blown by the wind produced from the attack. Not letting him escape Naruto grabbed Sasuke's leg then he started to spin, for five whole minutes Sasuke's world was a blur of motion. Finally, Naruto tossed Sasuke into the air letting him fall to the ground in a heap, slowly Sasuke stood before doubling over and throwing up his breakfast, looking up from his hands and knees Sasuke franticly looked around like a scared animal.

Walking over to him Naruto held out his hand offering it to the raven-haired boy, gritting his teeth Sasuke swatted Naruto's hand away before limping out of the playground and limped out of sight. Naruto didn't watch the boy retreat with his tail between his legs instead, memories of the old crone Baba Yaga tormenting him replayed over and over in his head. His time in the orphanage had been one of torture but through sheer willpower and the help of a certain fox spirit, Naruto had escaped his captor, found a mentor, a companion, and a mother and father figure in the span of one year. Clenching his fist Naruto left the playground grinning internally at how far he had come.

As Naruto was jubilant at his success Sasuke was running through the village alleyways, sweat plastered his hair to his forehead and tears streamed from his eyes. This was the first time he had lost to someone other than his brother Itachi, he had never lost in such a humiliating way before. His thoughts distracted him so he didn't see the rock that tripped him, the skin on his knees was rubbed off as trail of blood was left behind. Curling up in a ball Sasuke started to cry harder, again, and again, he saw his face looking down on him. Sasuke clenched his fist so hard that his nail dug into the palm of his hand, soon he stopped crying and sat up wiping his eyes when he removed his hands his eyes had transformed a single tomoe floating in a red sea.

Radiating confidence Naruto walked back to his apartment jumping on his bed, on his nightstand was a note with the Hokages seal. Opening it Naruto quickly read the letter sighing when he was done, the note basically was the Hokage telling him that in two days he would join the academy. Luckily Naruto had already decided to join the academy, not to learn anything but he wanted to experience a normal childhood. Summoning the many books he had Naruto started to go through them, they contained every subject he might need biology, algebra, history, and many more. Halfway through he started to get lonely, getting up from his bed, he bit his finger before slamming his hand on the ground with the proper words and a poof of smoke Yue jumped into his arms. He had dismissed her when he visited the Hokage and forgot to bring her back.

With his furry companion, he continued to study periodically feeding her bits of cooked meat from his inventory. Little did he know how much his presence in the village impacted the lives of others. Sakura and Ino were walking together not speaking their minds on the same person, the mysterious and handsome boy Naruto who had wiped the floor with Sasuke. Hinata was back at her clan sleeping in her bed for the first time in months, also thinking of the boy who had brought so much change to her life. Sasuke was kneeling in front of his father recounting the events of the day how he had lost but awakened his Sharingan. What they all did not know however was how fast thing the world would changes because of one boy.
