Tyrant was pissed off. In fact, he was so mad that he felt the only ways of alleviating his anger was something on the level of digging a hole so deep that whatever falls in it dies, and then watching people fall in it, listening to a long echoing scream, and die in agony. Only such a level of suffering could male him feel a little better.

The main reason he was mad was just because he was effectively captured, and he was definitely not upset that the one who subdued him ended up being the weak, small one. Well, maybe he was a little sulky.

He didn't really understand how he lost either. Maybe he had underestimated the small one, perhaps the small one was actually the stronger of the two, this was because it had caught him twice now. The first when he was tricked into that ritual, and the other right now.

Even now, he had no clue how it happened. Right now he was staring at the two creatures who pretty much have him at their mercy. He was unable to move anything except his mouth.

Whether fortunate or unfortunate, he learned that he was now able to communicate with the small one. It might have something to do with what happened earlier.

What was fortunate was that they seemed to have no intention of killing him right now, he wondered why.

"I don't know how, but I have lost. Why have you yet to kill me?" He growled at them questioning their foolish mercy, 'Aren't they afraid I might flee when I recover? Then they'd have wasted their effort in subduing me. Do they want to enslave me again? They definitely have the ability, but I'll definitely kill them when I have my chance.' He thought to himself, plotting his escape.

"You can try to escape or whatever, but we can find you whenever we want, and you're no longer capable of killing us." Said the bigger one, again without moving it's mouth, he found it quite creepy.

"Who are you calling creepy?!" Suddenly shouted the bigger one.

"?!" Tyrant widened his eyes in shock, 'how did it know what I was thinking?!'

"Are you wondering how I know what you're thinking?" The bigger one then smiled cheekily, irritating him, but at the same time he was dumbfounded.

'This is impossible!' he thought. He had no idea what was happening. Did he say what he was thinking out loud. He constantly made sure his mouth was closed.

"Not impossible, and closing your mouth won't help you hide your thoughts." He was now more wary than surprised, for he realized he could hide nothing from these ugly creatures from here on.

"How are you doing this?!" Tyrant growled warily, mainly to hide his distress. Rarely had he ever felt so vulnerable. He was unable to move and his thoughts couldn't even be hidden. He hadn't felt like this in a long time.

"I read up on it, and it seems you've formed a Soul Linked Contract with Ling'er." The creature said bluntly, as if he was supposed to know what what a 'soul link contract' was. Though he was not completely stupid, as he could infer that the 'Ling'er' she spoke of must be the small creature.

"Soul link? Contract?"

"Yes, there are three types of contracts. A blood bound contract, a soul bound contract, and yours and Ling'er's, a Soul Linked contract." Tyrant thought that his thoughts were being read, couldn't it tell that it had no idea what she was talking about?

"Silence. Before you speak further, I require some clarification. What is a soul? What is a contract? What do you mean by bound and linked?" These were unfamiliar terms to Tyrant, whose life in the Abyss was fairly simple, so to him, these were complex subjects.

It was only now that she seemed to notice his confusion. So much for mind reading.

"Don't overestimate me. I can read your thoughts because your soul is an open book, but I'm not good enough to read complex feelings and memories. I can only tell stuff like anger and joy." It seemed to foolishly reveal the limitations of its own ability. But it still didn't answer his questions.

"Right, sorry. So a soul is manifestation of self. Effected by willpower and emotions, it contains your personality, thought process, and experience, including memories. They exist in a separate state of incorporeal matter, and can only be interacted with by another soul or something with an equally spiritual ability." She explained apologetically.

"..." Tyrant stared at her blankly. He didn't know if she was making stuff up or he was just not as smart as he thought.

"...I guess that was too complicated for you? Hmm... then how about this. A soul is a separate, invisible brain that can only be effected by other souls and things similar to souls."

He started to get it now, as he understood that it was another vital point that could not be protected by his body. He would have to be careful of this.

"A contract is when you make a partnership on established terms. The most common here is a blood bound contract, where you make a seal in blood. It can't hurt anyone when broken, but the other contractees would know you've broken it. The less common kind is a soul bound contract, which you can only have one of. It's when instead of blood, you seal a piece of their soul in your own, so if the contract is broken, or the contractor dies, then the one whose soul is sealed would die. The contractor can also destroy the contractees soul at any time. These are usually one sided and mostly used to contract a beast partner." The creature started to get into her explanations, while Tyrant was still processing it.

"..." he blinked once. Then twice. Pondering slowly. Seconds passed and his eyes grew wider and wider.

"... So I've been enslaved!!!" He roared furiously. He basically got that a soul contract is when ones soul is held hostage so that the other can force them to do their bidding at the threat of death! This was outrageous! If he could move he would definitely chop off their limbs and rip off their faces in a moment of impulse!
