She forced Xiaohei to sleep early that night, as he would be following her all day tomorrow.

Now that she thought about it, it would be the first time she was alone with him. He really didn't have to listen to her, as he was only obligated to protect Ling'er because of their soul link.

But he was surprisingly cooperative, though a little unruly. Even now, he slept obediently, when she thought he would go out and do something. He was quite smart, and tends to think before acting. Most of the time. Though small, he's pretty strong. Chen Yan thought she could get along with him.

She easily lifted the drowsy murder machine equipped with sunglasses like a certain termin*tor into her satchel. And left for her classes.

She was an art major, and did classical music, specifically the harp, if you couldn't tell by her soul form armament, the Crystal Melody Harp.

She brought him to her college, Songjiang North University. The grounds were wide, and it was early in the morning, so it wasn't crowded, but there was still quite a few people here for their morning classes.

She saw Xiaohei peeking his head through the bag, observing his surroundings. He looked curious, but she thought it was natural as he was completely ignorant of the world, having come from some hellhole called the Abyss.

Quite honestly, she was uncertain whether or not to believe him, as it was a bit far fetched. But it did explain his very different perspective, as well as his abundant combat experience, and his completely unknown species.

She went to her first class, a math class. The teacher here was nice. Here she intended to teach Xiaohei about interacting with humans.

"You see Xiaohei, humans take 12 years of compulsory education in order to prepare them for college." She began to explain to him about the education system, so he doesn't complain too much.

"What is college?" his voice echoed into his mind through the soul link she established with him.

"Education to get a job"

"I see, I read about those." It seemed he had been reading a lot on his own time. Maybe she should take him to the library sometime.

"Do you like to read?" She asked curiously.

"Not particularly, but I've deemed it necessary to adapt to this human world." He explained that it's not that he wants to do it but that he needs to.

"Right. Just like that, to adapt to human society, you need to learn about the law!"

"Law?"

"Yes, law. The law tells you what you cannot do, if you do something they tell you you can't, then a sub group, called the police, lead by the group who creates the law, the government, comes to punish you." She tried to explain in terms he could understand.

"I see."

Like this, Chen Yan tried to explain how there are things you can and can't do, and described the police as a group of invincible super weapons in order to discourage him from breaking the law.

As she was no law student, she could only explain the most basic of laws to him.

No stealing, no ****, no extortion, no breaking legal promises, no destroying public property, no blackmail, etcetera etcetera.

"And especially NO KILLING PEOPLE. Except in self defense, got that?"

"I understand." But did he really?

At this time her friend came over, Yang Suya.

"Hey Yanyan, who're you talking to?"

"Hey Suya, it's my sister's new cat. I'm trying to train him."

"A new cat? Let me see!" She did not question why she was talking to her cat, as she too, cultivated a soul based method, and can this speak to animals through the soul as well.

Xiaohei poked his head out of the satchel and observed the new human. As if ascertaining her threat level.

"Awww! It's wearing sunglasses!" She gushed at the black cat with golden eyes and sunglasses.

"Ah right, it's because his eyes are very s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e to light, especially sunlight, it's pretty serious, like they literally start smoking!" Chen Yan grew energetic talking to her friend.

"Haha! Really? That does sound serious!" She thought it was a joke, as it was a little extreme of a reaction. She then formed a soul communion link with Xiaohei as well.

"Hello hello! Can you hear me?"

"I could always hear you, I have already learned to understand your simple human language, new human." Said this arrogant cat.

"Hahaha! Your sister's cat sure has an attitude, Yanyan!" She giggled at his response.

"Haha! Yeah he's always like that!" Chen Yan giggled too, as she could relate on many levels.

Xiaohei was there, looking confused on to why they were laughing so much. What was so funny? He could not understand.

"Hey kitty! So what's your name? I'm Yang Suya, you can call me Suya! Can I hold you?" She introduced herself as she reached toward the cat.

"Greeting Suya. I am the tyrant, Hades! But the humans call me Xiaohei." Then he thought for a moment. "I can give you my permission to display your you human's forms of affection, but don't you dare try your hand against me! Be aware that I can take your life in an instant." Contrary to his cute cat noises, a serious voice laid out a threat.

"Haha! Yanyan, this cat is so funny! So your name is Xiaohei! Hi Xiaohei! Don't worry, I would never hurt you! You're too cute!" She said with enthusiasm, as she lifted him straight out of the satchel and into her arms as she cuddled him aggressively.

"Hmph! Foolish human, you're just like the children. I know im cute. I do it on purpose! As that easily makes foolish humans like you grovel before me. Look upon yourself, and marvel upon your shameless profile! You don't even know how many ways I can kill you, yet you delivered me into your arms!" He took it upon himself to explain to Chen Yan's how silly humans were, as Chen Yan sighed, already used to this arrogant cat.

"That's right! Xiaohei is so smart! Yes you are! Xiaohei is such a good kitty!" It seemed Yang Suya didn't take his warnings to heart. As she stroked him incessantly.

By this time the the teacher had finally entered.
