The Legacy Of Son Goku

Haruto and Fia proceed to apply for the quest. When Rayne saw the quest paper her eyes widened. She was skeptical because Haruto was just a white rank adventurer thus she tried to warned him.

Alas Haruto did not listen to her and assured her that he'll be fine. She glanced at Fia next to him as if saying 'Is this really alright?' but Fia too only smiled wryly and nodded, she told her that she would look after him. In the end she could only sigh and let them took on the quest but not before she convinced him to escape immediately when they were in danger.

And so they decided to met tomorrow morning at 7 A.M near the town's gate.

Haruto spent the evening exploring the town and had dinner at a relatively cheap restaurant along with Elsie. There's some bugs trying to hit on Elsie but just a glare from Haruto cowered them away. In this kind of town there were full of cowards that did not even dare to take a risk and left the town to improve themselves.

And so they returned to the inn and there's some turmoil between Elsie and Haruto because Elsie wanted to sleep with him on the same bed. Haruto rejected her and tried to rent another room but Elsie refused saying that it was a waste of money. In the end Haruto gave up and let her sleep with him, he just couldn't handle her puppy eyes....

Well to be honest he too was excited of sleeping together with a girl, not to mentioned a real 2D girls that he always fond of. But he became shy when the time came, he never had a close relationship with a girl after all, well with the exception of his sister but she was special so that did not matter to him.

The next morning Haruto woke up with a new experience of having a cute girl sleeping next to him. He pat her cheeks and woke her up. They prepared themselves for the quest and headed off after they had a breakfast.

Near the gate they saw Fia standing there waiting for them. She noticed them and waved her hand.

"Good morning Haruto-san, Elsie-san."

"Yes, good morning."

"Good morning Fia-sann!"

They greeted each other with Elsie smiling cheerfully. After Haruto and Fia finished their talked, he introduced Elsie to Fia and they became acquainted with each other. Since Elsie was a very friendly and cheerful girl they got along very well.

Actually Elsie were there near them when they were talking yesterday inside the guild, turning herself invisible so she knew about her circ.u.mstances and sympathize with her.

Haruto told Fia that Elsie couldn't fight so she would stay in the town for the quest. But unknown to Fia, he actually asked Elsie to follow them while making herself invisible to act as precaution in case something unexpected happened and he needed her support or to teleport away with Fia.

Since there would be no real danger gonna happened to her Haruto did not worry about her safety. Besides, even though she cannot fight, her all-purpose hagoromo was very useful and she could at least protect herself. In the worst situation, she could just return to Haruto's body.

The journey to the mountain where the giant mountain boar lived would take about 3 hours by walking. Haruto did not complain about that because he liked traveling around with traditional way. Even if he could fly freely one day, he would still prefer to travel normally because it's more fun that way, unless it was necessary for him to use flight.

On the way, they fought some giant worms and kobolds. Haruto easily dispatched them by destroying their heads with his fists and fired some ki blasts at them, scattering their bodies. Fia widened her eyes in shock at his skills. Now that she's seen his prowess with her own eyes, her hesitations completely disappeared.

But Fia was not the only that amazed, Haruto too was impressed by her ability, he saw her swiftly killed some monsters with her knives. Although he never wielded a weapon before but he knew that her skills far surpassed an amateur showing her experience with fighting. Her movement was fast and agile, at the end of the fight she was not touched a little bit.

To his surprise Fia was able to enchant her knives with ki resulting in slashes of energy fired from the knives everytime she swung her hands.

In this world the people too use the same source of energy as Haruto did. For people that fought physically, they could use ki to either enhance their body and weapons or unleashed energy attacks.

The only exception was for magicians, they were born with a special constitution where their bodies did not produce ki but instead they would gather mana from the surroundings and store them inside their bodies. That mana was capable to be processed by the magicians to create various phenomenon known as magic.

"So you've already experienced 5 [Growth]s Fia-san?"

Continuing their journey, Haruto was surprised hearing that Fia already went through 5 [Growth]s.

"Yes, I am."

"....It must be hard was it."

"....Yes, it was."

Fia answered with deadpan eyes while Haruto made an understanding face and pat her back gently.

"...What about you Haruto-san? How many [Growth]s have you experienced?" Not satisfied with his attitude that expressed his pity for her, she asked back.

"...Zero."

"...."

'In that case, you won't understand my feelings ri~ght? Why did you act as if you know everything huh~?' was what Fia expressed in her eyes to him. Haruto averted his eyes. Elsie that was flying above them while invisible made a "?" face.

But then Fia gasped realizing that he was that strong even though he never went through a [Growth]. She started to grow curious about the boy next to her, wondering what he'll became of in the future.

And then they finally arrived at the entrance to the depth of the mountain. Haruto detected quite a lot of presences inside and one of them a lot bigger than the others far inside.

"So are you ready Haruto-san?" Fia confirmed before entering.

Haruto nodded to her and sent a telepathy to Elsie,

{Elsie, please stay outside the forest. I will call you later if I need your help.}

{Understood Kami-sama!} Elsie replied to him.

"Then let's enter." Fia urged.

They moved forward and put their vigilance. The surroundings were covered by trees and bushes so monsters would be able to easily hide while waiting for an ambush. But this won't worked with Haruto that's capable of sensing energy signature.

After making their way forward while dealing with the monsters that attacked them along the way, a large energy signature approached them.

"....Fia-san."

"...Yes, it's coming."

Haruto readied his body while Fia unsheated her knives. Awhile later they heard the sound of large steps approaching, the ground was shaking for each step.

And it appeared, a giant boar about 4 meter tall with two horns on it's head. It's presence let out a pressure to the surroundings, dispersing the other small monsters around them.

The giant boar let out salivas and eyeing them with it's frightening red eyes, preparing to devour the two people in front of it.

Haruto smirked.

"Now this seems interesting..."
