The Legend of Harry Potter Schoolmaster

Chapter 18 Potions Teacher (Part 1)

On the way to the restaurant after Charms get out of class, Jon was thinking about this.

The wizards in the Harry Potter world are not essentially the scholar-type wizards in the DND worldview, but the sorcerers who are born with the ability to cast spells... It's still the old problem before, the release of wizards' spells depends on their emotions !

This is also Jon Hart's biggest flaw as a wizard.

As a scholar with more than ten years of scientific research experience, a good young man who has received more than twenty years of modern education, a mature man with a mental age of nearly forty years... Rational thinking has long been ingrained, and it is difficult to change It's a fact!

Therefore, Jon has absolutely no way to change his emotions arbitrarily and let his emotions dominate his mind like his classmates who think like a blank sheet of paper.

Unless a powerful wizard casts an oblivion spell on him...

But that's something he can't possibly allow!

80%-90% of magic, including but not limited to polymorphism, spells, black magic, and extreme defense... all rely on the emotions of wizards. In terms of these magics, Jon suspects that he needs to spend many times the energy of other people in order to obtain equivalent grades.

Fortunately, his outstanding memory can shorten the gap in this area, so that he will not fall too far behind.

The remaining 10%-20% of magic does not depend on emotions. These seemingly rigid spells are Jon's advantage.

For example, the Petrification Spell, if a qualified Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher sees Jon Hart using the Petrification Spell... he may be able to confirm that Mr. Hart's control and understanding of the Petrification Spell is even better than most sixth and seventh graders student.

Jon suddenly remembered that during the sorting ceremony yesterday, the Sorting Hat wanted to put him in Gryffindor instead of Ravenclaw...

At first he thought it was the Sorting Hat that made a mistake, but the real reason was that he didn't have enough talent in the wizarding category, and he didn't have the qualifications to become a true "Ravenclaw".

"What a shocking fact!"

...

During lunch.

Heloise Midgen and Zacharias-Smith came over...they, like Jon, were freshmen at Hufflepuff.

Heloise was a pimple-faced girl who looked a little too far away; Zacharis was a tall, thin boy with a raised nose.

"Jon, you did a great job in Transfiguration class, you're the only Hufflepuff student who changed the match..." Heloise said with envy.

"Uh... I just read the book a few more times..." Jon pouted.

"That Professor McGonagall is too partial...why does she only give Ginny Weasley extra points and not you..." Zacharis opened his big mouth and shouted.

Jon hurriedly motioned him to shut up, then changed the subject... Fortunately, it didn't attract the attention of the other students.

Zacharis grabbed a drumstick and stuffed it into his mouth: "By the way, do you know Ron Weasley? That sidekick from Harry Potter!"

"Uh... follower... what's wrong with him?"

"At dinner this morning, his mother sent him a roaring letter, hahaha, we were all dying of laughter."

"It turns out that Weasley and Harry Potter drove a flying car to school yesterday!" Heloise whispered: "It sounds cool..."

While eating, I listened to the two classmates brag.

"By the way, what class is this afternoon?" Jon asked casually, putting down the cutlery.

"Herbalism, with Ravenclaw, Professor Sprout teaches us...she's our Hufflepuff dean, but I haven't seen her yet!" Zacharice's mouth filled with food , speak a little slurred.

Heloise added: "Hannah and I have said that Professor Sprout has been good to us..."

...

At two o'clock in the afternoon, Jon walked out of the castle, crossed the vegetable garden, and came to the greenhouse at Hogwarts.

Professor Sprout had a lot of bandages on his arm, and Jon saw from a distance that many branches of the Beating Willow in the distance were tightly bound by bandages.

"Two naughty students have injured a very precious willow tree, and I have been treating it all morning!" Professor Sprout's voice was gentle, she was a short and plump witch , wearing patched clothes with a lot of dirt on it:

"I hope you don't do this kind of thing in the future!"

"Okay... now come with me, to the first conservatory!" She took the lead, with the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaw first-years following her.

Jon didn't see mandrakes as he imagined... Probably that kind of plant is dangerous and not suitable for freshmen like them.

Professor Sprout brought them to know 18 kinds of mushrooms. It only took Jon fifteen minutes to recognize them all, and successfully divided them into two categories according to the standard of poisonous and non-toxic.

"Well done, Mr. Hart!" Professor Sprout praised him with a smile and gave Hufflepuff five points.

At the end of get out of class, she also gave Jon a precious specimen of pine mushrooms, a fungus with high potion value.

...

The last class on the first day of school got Jon into a bit of trouble.

This last class was a Potions class taught by Severus Snape, and Hufflepuff took it with Slytherin.

I wasted a lot of time because I followed Professor Sprout to get the matsutake specimen and put it in the Hufflepuff common room... By the time he hurried to the Potions class, he was already three days late. minutes.

"...even to stop death--but there has to be one, that you're not the idiots I've always met." Snape's signature greasy voice came from inside the door.

"I'm so sorry, Professor!" Jon bravely pushed the door open.

"Jon Hart?" Snape glanced at the roster in his hand, then gave him a cold look.

Snape's eyes, cold and hollow, remind you of two dark tunnels.

"Yes, Professor." Jon nodded.

"I was late for the first potions class. I think this is the first time I have seen it in my more than ten years of teaching career!" Snape said contemptuously, "Even the one who has always been proud of breaking the school rules. Mr Potter, I have never done anything like this before!"
