The Little Calamity

Arisa's skin was currently a brown liquid, meaning that it was already at the final step. It was far less painful that having her inside melted so she was able to talk. She started explaining a few things to him, starting with cultivation.

" Now that you are out of blood city.. ugh.. you have to learn a little about the world."

She endured the pain, she didn't want anyone to mock him for his lack of knowledge so she forced herself to explain.

" First, there is two path of cultivation, you can either cultivate your soul or cultivate your body. By cultivating your soul you strengthen your ki and you can attack at distance with it, by cultivating your body you gain more strength and defense however you limit yourself into close combat with some scarce distance attack options.

If we talk about pure power cultivating your body is a better option, especially for you since you were born with such a good... body."

She couldn't help but stare at his c.h.e.s.t with a hint of l.u.s.t, fantasizing about a few things. Luckily the pain quickly brought her back.

" But for fighting cultivating your soul is probably the best option, the wide variety of skills make it easier to run away and trick your opponent. It still strengthen your body a little so you aren't completely weak in close range either. Cultivating the soul is also easier so most people choose this option."

Rayne listened to her attentively, her voice sounded sweeter now that her disguise was gone so he couldn't get enough.

" Is it possible to cultivate both at the same time?"

The light on her skin was slowly growing weaker, showed that it was the end. She sighed in relief, she didn't think that it would be so painful, then she nodded at Rayne.

" You can but most people focus on a single path first and once they reach their limit they start on the second. That's because each level of cultivation is much stronger than the one before, someone at level 12 in a single path would be stronger than someone at level 11 in both path.

Focusing on two things is also counter-productive and usually take more than double the time to achieve the same result."

She started stretching after the pill finally finished it's job. She could feel that it was something extraordinary but she couldn't feel what it did exactly.

" Wait a moment, I need to contact my clan first."

There was still a chance that someone would find them in this place, she didn't expect Rayne's pill to have such effect so it was delayed a little. She took out a crystal and poked it a few times before putting it back in her spatial ring.

" What was that pill?"

She was curious, it must have been quite precious to have an effect like that.

" It give you immunity to the earth element, poisons and diseases."

He knew that it was something precious but he was glad that he gave it to her. Arisa became fl.u.s.tered when she heard this. She couldn't believe that something like this even existed.

" And you gave it to me knowing it's effect? Do you know it's value?"

She felt embarrassed that she ate it like that yet she was happy that he gave it to her.

" I knew it's effect and I know that it's something precious."

" Then why did you give it to me?"

Rayne felt puzzled at this question, he tilted his head to the side as if to understand what she meant.

" To me your safety is more precious than anything, why wouldn't I give it to you?"

Her entire face turned red, she couldn't even think of a reply. She simply cleared her throat and tried to change the subject.

" Let's go back to cultivation. Earlier I spoke of level however there is also titles related to those levels. At level 1 you are a novice, once you reach level 10 you become a soldier. After every 10 level you gain a new title, after soldier is knight then commander, general, king and emperor.

Every new title mean an important breakthrough in your cultivation and a qualitative jump in your strength. Although a level 17 could beat a level 19 with talent it's nearly impossible for a level 19 to beat a level 20 so you have to be careful of those with a title above you."

She looked to the side, unable to look at his face. Rayne nodded as if he was taking notes, unaware of Arisa's struggle.

" Then how do you cultivate?"

She smiled at his however as soon as she saw his handsome face she turned around again.

" It's a little complicated and you need a cultivation technique. It's also better to have some spirit artifacts. Before I explain those things to you I will talk about elements. There is nine major elements, fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, space, dark, light and blood, a few of them have stronger variant but it's not something you need to know for now.

Each person is born with affinities to some elements which make it easier to train with them but not having any affinity with an element doesn't stop you from cultivating with it. Every element has a different effect that can be used to cover your own weakness, although you can cultivate as many element as you want the more you have the harder it is to train a new one so you need to chose carefully.

Spirit artifact can posses their own element, as long as you have normal ki you can use the artifact's element without needed to cultivate it. To get an artifact you need to receive it's recognition and absorb it in your soul, it will slow down your cultivation but the power they give is worth it. There is a few more things but I will teach you the specific later."

She went to sit down on a rock to rest a bit and get some distance from Rayne however he simply came to sit beside her. His smell immediately entered her little nose, causing it to twitch. Her l.u.s.t skyrocketed, she started staring at him, her eyes were telling him to take her right now.

The blood city was a place of constant danger and it was filled with blood l.u.s.t so they couldn't let their guard down. Now that they were in a safer place and that Arisa's hesitation was gone the atmosphere turned romantic, causing her l.u.s.t to grow quickly.

Rayne could also feel her intense d.e.s.i.r.e, causing his blood to flow toward his lower body. He was also intoxicated by her smell and her blushing face looked incredibly s.e.xy.

' What is this?'

While Rayne was questioning his feelings Arisa was praying that Rayne would jump on her like a savage beast. Sadly before she could seduce him she felt a powerful energy coming toward them. She immediately recognized who it was so she could only sigh in disappointment.

' This is only the beginning, you endured 3 years in that place for him so what is waiting a few more days in a safe place?'

She was certain that Rayne loved her even after he knew her real appearance so she started planning for the future. Even if he was 13 years younger than her she didn't mind anymore.

She brought Rayne outside of the cave where a man greeted them.

" You must be the little calamity, Rayne? Thank you for taking care of my daughter."
