The Lost Chronicles Of Pangea: Apocalypse

Chapter 57 - The Secret Of The Dragon (V): Eelam

"We should go now, if we wait we're only going to delay the inevitable"

Lilith could not really find fault in this decision, the fact that it was David who proposed it, showed it might the only optima n left for them right now. Besides, their next trial was not going to be a physical altercation, but a battle of souls and the mind. That wraith was going to torture them straight into insanity, and there was only one way that they would be able to prevail.

"Are you sure your theory would work?" Lilith asked David as she clasped her hands underneath her jaw.

"Well, I'm not a 100% sure, maybe about 69, 50....43. Yeah that's right, I'm 43% sure that my theory would be the way for us to beat the Wraith." His voice and his posture showed that he was not even sure himself, but it was his idea after all.

"Seriously, you're banking our lives and sanity on a theory that only has a '43'% chance of succeeding, your not even sure about that estimation, who knows if it's even 1%." Minerva angrily shouted at David.

David scratched the back of his scraggy and unkempt hair and shrugged his shoulders as he explained to Minerva in a free voice.

"I don't gave to go into details as even the both of you are well aware of the facts governing this theory of mine. Ionite is a compound capable of taking any form, with a great degree fro adaptability, but it's also known as void ore. A material capable of rendering every from of energy, or abilities, magical or otherwise null and void, or I should say, it renders all forms of power, skill, abilities, or bloody magic ineffective.

And we have a living breathing source of Ionite right here!"

Then he pointed at Veni who suddenly looked up from where she was scribbling on the ground, and pointed her clawed hand at her face, as if to say 'me?' the she blinked her black eyes, and looked back down to her scribbles, completely ignoring the rest of the conversation.

"Are you sure she's up to it?" Lilith asked with a soft voice as she looked at the innocent looking lizard girl/tortoise girl?.

"She might not look like it, but she's the smartest of the trio, I'm sure I can talk her through the plan, as soon as we make a proper one."

"RARARS RA RAK RA(what do you mean she's the smartest of the three of us)" Vidi roared at David in indignation. But David was not going to let go of an opportunity to irritate the annoying tortoise.

"Its exactly what I meant, if you don't like it, then get smarter. I'm sure it would do you some good."

Vidi shook his shell threating, before walking off somewhere else, completely ignoring David, but with a look that said 'you won this round. See you next week'. David shook his head with a victorious grin on his face, while he shifted his gaze to Lilith and Minerva.

"So then, are we going with this half brained theory of his?" Minerva asked, looking straight at Lilith.

Lilith sighed, and scratched at the stump that was once her left arm, then she turned to look at Minerva with a really tired look on her face.

"Half brained theory or not, it's brilliant. Not to mention it's the only idea that's come forth in hours. And I believe it's going to work. You and I have worked with the military for a number of years, so I know you how powerful Ionite is, there's nothing it won't neutralize.

Even though we've not heard of any one using it on a wraith, it wouldn't help to try. If it doesn't work, we run the other way. We can't go back, at least not until we see this current path to the end. And if we meet a dead end, we go back and face the horde of evolved monsters. Together!"

Minerva sighed as she nodded her head. Then she turned to David, looking as serious as possible, and pointed her finger at him, speaking like she was warning her child about misbehaving.

"Remember this was all your plan, if we go mad, I'm blaming you, if we die I'm blaming you, if anything else happens to us I'm blaming you. Are we clear?"

"Crystal." David replied with an annoyed look on his face.

"Everybody we need to rest, David you're responsible for Veni, make sure she knows what she has to do." Lilith ordered.

David nodded his head, then turned his head down looking at Veni who has been ignoring the whole world as she drew scribbles on the ground. David looks closer and realized with a horrified expression, that the scribbles she was drawing was something he was familiar with. He felt his mind go heavy, as an image of blood and death suffused his vision.

There was blood on his hands, and death on his soul, men, a wolf, and Minerva's father. David did not know how, but Veni was drawing the platform David and Xaseah had been forced to fight for their lives upon. A freaking summoning circle to the demon realms. David shook his head to clear all of the sudden visions of death, demons and flames from his mind. Of all the times, wasn't this PTSD coming a little to late.

David bent his head down as he resolved to talk to Veni and find out, how and where she learnt that. He needed to prevent any kind of accidents from happening in the future, also he also had to give her some instructions about their next enemy. But this was just some scribbles, what could possibly go wrong.

ABOVE THE PLANET PANGEA

ABOARD THE PIRATE SHIP DRAGON MARY

PIRATE QUEEN VICTORIA NEESON

FOUR MONTHS AGO:

Victoria marched through the halls of her ship as she was troubled by the sudden surge of nostalgia. Excluding the fearsome storm clouds that covered the surface of this planet, her eye of magic had helped her seen beyond the planets protective shroud.

It was beautiful, and she had only ever seen one planet as green or as blue as this one...…..earth. Home. But that was galaxies, dimensions, or even whole universes away. She's had no idea how both her and her two sisters ender up here, on a ship with new bodies, new names, and as slaves, completely pulled from the comforts of what was twenty fist century earth.

She had no ides if they would ever be able to go home, it was hard to imagine what their future would be like in a universe this fantastic, sailing the stars and taking from the rich, giving to the poor, and making sure there was enough left to buy a planet or two. It was a dangerous life, but it was what they chose.

The dragon Mary was one of the strangest ship in existence, it doesn't help of course that's she's one of seven dragon sh.i.p.s spread out into the cosmos. Only one had been found so far, and if rumors are to be believed, there was one other dragon in the planet below.

Dragon Mary was sentient, and at the moment she catered to a crew of three hundred of the finest space pirates in the core universe. And she and her sisters are the captains of this ship. Victoria made her way towards an elevator that led her up and straight to the bridge, when she got up she saw both her sisters sitting on either sides of a massive chair, but they were also sitting on equally massive chairs.

In their old life back on earth they were triplets, here they were evenly spaced in age, and were not related. Which was why all three of them looked so dissimilar in resemblance to each other.

"Victoria! Is it true, did you really feel the surge of a human soul from this planet, a human from earth!" Her dark haired sister Veronica asked.

"Good morning to you too Vera, and yes I did feel a human soul from earth crossing over. Mary also confirmed it."

Then a rumble went through the ship as a female voice was heard within all three of their minds.

"She's right about the human soul from your home universe, but what's most interesting is that he's not the only earth human who has been on that planet, or the only awkward thing on it right now."

The third sister who had been silent so far, with a startling shade of neon green hair suddenly asked.

"What do you mean, not the only awkward thing?" She asked in confusion as she pushed up her eschew reading glasses to the top of her head.

"Well Valeria, the answer is simple. I can feel my brothers energy down there, and he's playing with that human like a puppet. Mhmm, I have to hand it to him, big brother has gotten stronger."

Victoria looked at the looming planet in front of her and asked,

"which of the dragon sh.i.p.s is he?"

"The Mind Dragon Eelam. The Second born dragon of the seven pillars. My big brother. And he had chosen his king."
