The Lost Chronicles Of Pangea: Apocalypse

Chapter 60 - The Secret Of The Dragon (VIII): Tale Of Destiny 1

Flying, soaring, to be one with the wind and in love with sky. David felt such p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e from it, basking in that splendor of his superior existence. He loved every feeling it evoked within him, feelings of l.u.s.t, of happiness, satisfaction, pride, intelligence. To be able to soar the cosmos with an intellect unrivaled in all the universes.

The power of his mind trumped by nothing else, by no one else. His brothers and sisters might think differently, but David knew the truth. Every great Innovation came from the mind, it's the stem and root of any body's very being and existence. His mind, could see all, power. His mind could feel all, empathy. His mind could touch all, unstoppable. His mind could outlast all, immortal. He was a god of the skies, the cosmos bowed to the glory of his awesomeness. And he. Was. A. Dragon.

"Wake up....." "wa.....ke….. Up..." "Da...….vid...wa...…. Up!"

"David! Wake up!"

David shot up with a jolt dislodging the sheets over his body, as his neck let out audible cracks due to the uncomfortable position he had woke up in. He was sitting on what he could only call a throne, it was on top of a raised metal platform, surrounded by work stations with chairs over a desk of display screens. The screens were dead, and straight ahead was a wide screen fifteen to twenty meters wide. experience let him know that he was looking at a windshield, a very big one. It was about the same size as a basketball ball court, and it too, just like the display screens were dead.

The throne he was on had screens on the side too, a screen that was very reminiscent of his regulator. The arm rest of the throne was about two palms wide, with how big it looked, David could deduce it was built for someone a whole lot bigger than he was. Way bigger. But the question remaining, which he could not help but ask out loud was this.

"Where in God's are we?"

He got his answer almost immediately, the same archaic and ancient voice that he had heard after they had defeated that abomination of death knights. This time however the voice was not coming from within that depths of his mind, It was coming from all over this strange place that was beginning to look more and more like a military command center, or the bridge of a star ship.

"Your currently inside me?"

David blinked his eyes, in shock, then he had to ask.

"Errm, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but you what do you mean I'm 'inside' you. That word has a variety of meanings, and it could mean either one of the things I'm thinking, and none of them are sitting well with me."

The voice went silent, it was as if it was trying to figure out how to answer David, or it just deigned it troublesome to answer David.

"You're in a ship, and I'm the ship you're currently in, so in essence you're inside me."

"Oh! So what are you, the AI of this ship or something. From your pattern of speech it seems to me that you're pretty advanced for an operating AI, you must be capable of quite a lot of functions." David asked and deduced in surprise. However his new friend was less than accepting of the label David had just given him.

"Do you want to die or something. How dare you compare me to those perversion of life created by unclean human hands. Though I admire the genius behind their creation, but to have the audacity to compare me with those less than lower life forms is commendable. You have some balls on you David Johnson Iye, formerly of earth, and formerly of Pangea."

David was shocked by the sudden reveal, without a doubt he knew that the only person he had told about his origins was Lilith. And even then he doubted he had been out long enough for them to torture the information out of her, whoever them may be. It was also then that he noticed that none of his friends were around him, and to make matters worse, he was n.a.k.e.d."

"Um excuse me?...."

"Silence!"

And then the ship shook with a rumble as the it's irritation was made know to David. His mind was rattled, and as the ship shook, it was almost as if it was David's own body that was shaking in anger.

"I am a dragon, an entity at the very top of creation and all living beings, the only being with the highest intellect among the wide ocean of stars in the universe. The most powerful mind to have existed, I am Eelam! The Elder Dragon of Mind...…..and you inconsequential ant dares to compare me to an AI. If you were not my chosen King, I will murder you, torture your mi..."

"I'm sorry."

"Eh? What did you say?" Eelam asked seeming lost.

"I said I'm sorry." David affirmed.

"Well um....I guess it's okay, if you're sorry it's not so bad anymore. At least you know to be respectful."

An apology, that was all it took for his attitude and even his voice to make a complete 360 degree change. He sounded younger too, like a teenager rather than a five thousand year old man high on ego. Just as well though, David was beginning to get tired of his angry tirade.

"Please, my friends, do you know where they are." David asked hoping that wherever he was, and whomever it was that brought him, decided to bring Lilith and the others along as well.

"Oh you mean those three tortoises with an awkward constitution, the diamond lady with one arm that's been trying to chip a hole through my cell wall for the past six hours, and the woman with the dissipated mind and injured soul, which I might add is slowly dying as her soul disperses from her body...…..those guys are in the brig."

"Why would you put them in a brig?" David asked with anger.

"Why the hell not, they're intruders, and because I want too. I only sent for you, yet somehow they also came through. They might be spies from the dark one."

David felt like the mother of all headaches was about to descend upon him. This ship, this dragon of intellect Eelam whatever, kept mentioning one unfamiliar thing after the other as if he expected David to understand them. And it was difficult listening to it....him? Much less talk to him due to how childish he sounds or seems.

"First things first, my friends are not spies, secondly let them go, thirdly who the hell are you and

what the f.u.c.k is going on here. And finally where's the bathroom."

"...."

"..."

" I'll let your friends go after we're done here, it's not as if they can hurt me any way. As for your third question, the answer to that is right in front of you. Thousands of years ago, I was born along with six other brothers and sisters on the origin planet Shearath. It's one of the first planets to come into existence, they're seven of those origin planets in this universe. And each of them serve as a pillar to laws of existence that governs the core universe.

And each of them have a dragon ship attached to it, denoting or representing that planet and the element of creation it stands for. As I was saying, when I was born on Shearath, we were tasked by the WAY, I think they call it the system these days. We were asked to choose seven kings and queens who will take command of us, and utilize our power to save earth and combat the dark one. An entity that exists outside all laws of creation and destruction, and lives by devouring universes without a core world to hold it in place. Without a core world, the defense of the seven universe layer is not absolute, and we're all left to the mercy of that monster...."

"Wait a minute! What do you mean by seven universe layer. And what does this have to do with me." David asked with a panicked voice.

"If you calm down you will see that I was going to explain it eventually!. Humph. When life began, or I should say when it was created. You know that passage in that holy book you earthlings love so much, yeah what was it again, um...…."

"The Bible" David answered with exasperated expression.

"Yes! That's what it's call. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Only difference was that he did not create one earth, or I should say one planet. But there was one universe at the time. Each planet born at the time was...is governed by its own circle of laws that enable growth. And when the most dominant race on that planet, the race meant to rule over it, began to decide for themselves, have free will. The earth began to experience a structural break down. And that was because it decisions taking, or discarded had the ability to affect and create and endless stream of possible futures, bringing different consequences and advantages into existence.

That much power of free will, of influencing the future even though you people did not realize it, was going to tear the world to shreds. So the world created an alternate universe where all of your decisions, hopes and dreams brought entire new races and life forms into existence. But eventually the same problem would arise, and another new universe was born, this time smaller than the last. Seven layers in all, with earth existing in the first layer, connected to each layer of existence, influencing and affecting it in ways that no one understands.

And then the core universe was born, the last of all seven layers, and the place where earth is supposed to be reborn. Earth exist outside of the seven layers, and it's dying. Suffering from danger caused by it's inhabitants, and danger from the dark one that draws closer as we speak. If the core world is not formed in time for earth to transfer the essence of it's being into it, all the seven layers will shatter, and trillions, upon trillions, of life in each layer, will cease to exist."
