The Lost Fruits

Jafar made his way into the dining hall witnessing the Sultan's surprised expression. Once h shifted his gaze at the new nobleman and his blue pet he shared the same expression "So barbaric..." he mumbled.

The Sultan noticed Jafar and smiled "Jafar! come in... I have asked for Mr.Portgas to stay for breakfast so we can speak to him."

"Thank you, my Sultan..." Jafar bowed with respect, his eyes looked at Ace who wasn't even paying them any type of attention "Mr.Portgas...I believe you had a very good breakfast." he says.

"Nah, Nah, I am still eating. Though, ut is one of the best for sure." Ace said with his mouth full of food.

"Will you please speak when you empty your mouth...And put your little pet off the table...It is bad manners for a lord to behave as such." Jafar frowned at the barbaric display in front of him. His red parrot looked at the blue cat and shivered, he is getting bad vibes from that creature.

"Yeah, yeah, for sure. After I am done eating." Ace said before continuing to assault the food with Genie. Jafar clinched his staff tightly with anger. The Sultan chuckled and waved for Jafar to sit with them "Stop being so tight Jafar and sit down."

Jafar walked and took a chair. After 15 minutes, Ace and genie swooped the table clean from food, no one other than them ate.

"Alright, what do you need me for...Again." Ace cleaned his mouth and Genie burned with his swollen belly.

Jafar felt disgusted but he didn't let that show on his face "Yes...I have spoken with the Sultan regarding your position as a Sheikh."

"...And?"

"And...we have a few missions for you." Jafar handed Ace a scroll. Ace opened it and he frowned, Genie jumped on his shoulder to read with him.

"Transport weapons? Fund the war? join the generals on the battlefield?" Ace looked at Jafar with a calm expression, but inside he was boiling with anger. Just because he helped them once, that doesn't make him their little soldier that they can order around! He thought.

Jafar stood up and walked behind the Sultan "This is, of course, your duty as a Sheikh, we could have chosen any other lord, but they have their lands and people to lead. And you, my lord, are the only lord with no land or people to lead. So you have no reason to refuse your duties to your new home." Jafar smirked, he placed his staff behind the Sultans's head as his eyes glowed red "Don't you think so too, my Sultan?" this little detail didn't escape Genie's magical eyes.

The Sultan didn't even hesitate to respond in a calm voice and in an uncharastically manner "Indeed...This is Sheikh Portgas' duty toward the home that we provided him with."

Under the table, Ace's fist was burning with fire and rage. "But what about the funding...I am sure that I am not the only lord with wealth."

"But of course, we have already gathered donations from every lord, and it will be your responsibility to spend those funds on our army... and before you ask. We lost a general in the latest battle and I think your wisdom could be useful in organizing our troops. After all, you're a man who was able to unite Agrabah's market in a few months."

Ace eyed the Sultan who was in a daze, Ace's stood up and a thought of killing Jafar crossed his mind, but then he calmed his mind, he is no longer a pirate "And I guess that all of this will not go unrewarded..." Ace spoke again.

'Great! if you're forced to do something, don't do it for free!' Genie thought in his mind.

"Of course, you will have great honor and the respect of your new home's peo--" Jafar spoke but he cut off by Ace.

"I was speaking to the Sultan, Vizier." Following his words. Genie's cat eyes glowed blue and he released the Sultan from his mind control. The Sultan gasped and looked around him.

"Isn't that right, Sultan?" Ace spoke to the now fully conscious Sultan.

"W-what? what are you speaking of?" The Sultan was confused, he felt like he slept in the middle of their conversation and couldn't follow anymore. Jafar gritted his teeth with anger at the timing of the Sultan waking up from his lock. It seems he didn't realize that his spell was broken by a 3rd party.

"Sultan..." Ace called to get the Sultan's attention "I was asking if after doing my mission, I will be rewarded?"

The Sultan frowned and nodded "Of course, we don't let hard-working men go unrewarded. Speak your wish" The Sultan frowned.

Ace thought for a moment then smiled "How about we leave it for the princess, I guess she is the perfect person to decide what kind of reward I should get." he said.

Jafar stroke the ground with his staff "THE PRINCESS is unrelated to this matter..." The last person Jafar wants to get in this matter is Jasmine. She is too clever and might see through this and uncover his real motivation.

The Sultan looked back at Jafar and frowned "Jafar...watch your behavior." he said. Ace smiled as Jafar lowered his head to the ground.

"I think this is a very good idea. She was the one to give you your first reward, so she will not be unfair to you." The Sultan agreed with Ace "Though, I am sure that I have invited her to join us."

"No need, I will be taking my leave now." Ace said as he stood up with Genie the cat on his shoulder. Genie raised his paw and waved at the parrot on Jafar's shoulder "Meow Meow chicken!" Genie licked his cat lips and opened his mouth full of sharp teeth. The parrot shivered as he concluded that Genie is from the same Specie as him; Magical Animals.

'This guy might eat me one day!' the parrot thought.

After Ace left, The Sultan sighed in relief "I really didn't think he would accept such mission." he said, "Sorry for sleeping in the middle of all of this, Jafar."

Jafar shifted his gaze from Ace's distancing back to the Sultan "I am only doing my duty." Jafar responded.
