The Lost Fruits

Chapter 19 - Winter

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Night Time - Agrabah - The Royal Palace - Jasmine's Room

-----------------------------------------------------------------

"WHAT?!!" A loud ear-piercing screech erupted inside the royal palace as Jasmine heard the decree her father has tasked Ace with.

Sultan Hamed closed his ears and backed away from his daughter.

"Father..." Jasmine called "Are you telling me that you sent Mr.Portgas; a new noble, our economy's wheel, and above all, our troops savior to war?!"

"Yes." Sultan Hamed replied, although a bit meekly. Jasmine was baffled; She couldn't believe it. What has got into her father to do this?

"What was going through your mind when you ordered so?" Dalia who was at the door preventing anyone from getting any closer was worried for Jasmine "My princess, please, slowly, your health is still weak for you to be worked up like this." she pleaded.

"Well, Jafar said that we could use his wisdom in managing the market and organizing the economy. He could do the same for our troops' supplies and orders. We lost a general a few days ago and we need someone to replace him." Sultan Hamed tried to explain himself.

"Jafar? aha!! so that is why..." Jasmine realized that Jafar must have some ulterior motives behind this "How many times have I told you father, release Jafar from his duties and be done with him. He is nothing but trouble."

"But he hasn't don anything for me to release him. This will bring dishonor upon him." The Sultan said.

Jasmine clenched her hands and turned her head, she walked to the balcony and sighed "Done nothing?...yes...Starting a war is considered nothing nowadays."

Hearing this, The Sultan became sad and walked to his daughter "my little flower...It was inevitable. a war between Jahilon country and your mother's homeland; Badr. It was bound to happen sooner or later."

Knowing fully well that going through this again will only make her and her father say the same stuff they have been saying for years now. So she just nodded her head and held his hand "Yes father. It was inevitable." she said bitterly. Dalia saw her lady's pained expression and felt upset too. The Sultan has been acting strange since the day his wife was killed. His action became more irresponsible and unpredictable.

Sultan Hamed kissed his daughter on the forehead and smiled "I will see you tomorrow. Take care of yourself." He then took his leave after instructing the guard to be alert.

Dalia walked to Jasmine and spoke "You wanna take about it?" she asked. Jasmine didn't respond and looked up at the moon and the clear sky as a cold breeze played with her luscious black hair.

"I need some Blood Tears from Lord Ace, I feel my skin is burning..." Jasmine looked down at the city, she wanted to go and meet him. She can't take it, she needs to leave the palace for some time "Could you cover up for me?" She looked at her maid. Just her mere weak pleading voice made Dalia's heart melt and she nodded unconsciously "Yes I will do." she said.

Jasmine took her scarf and quickly made her way to the secret passage to the city.

Morjan Company - Ace's Office

------------------------------------

"Dude! I am telling you. A storm came down suddenly and I saw a pair of blue eyes staring at us. It scared the living soul out of me!" Aladdin was talking with Ace about what happened yesterday. He was still scared "If you don't ask me, ask Abu." he said.

Ace looked at Abu "Is it true?" he asked. Abu started doing hand signs and screeching, he seems to support Aladdin in every way.

"See! I wasn't lying. Anyway, don't go to the desert anymore. That monster might still be there." Aladdin warned his friend "If not for him, I could have had a mountain of treasure and even buy a chair from those old fools." He was still bitter about this. Jafar presented him the perfect chance and it was ruined by a sandstorm monster.

Ace chuckled "Sorry for that my friend. It seems that you had a rough night." Ace Spoke "For now, I need you to be strong, I will be taking care of some war business and You will work as the Vice-Master of this company while I am away."

"What? you will go to the war?! Why? you are a new lord. They won't send you..." Aladdin was shocked to hear this, why would they send some inexperienced lord to war.

"They said I can manage their funds and supplies. I can do that. And while I am at it, I may even end the war too." Ace read through some paperwork related to the funds Jafar gathered for him 'Too little!' he thought.

"I don't know what to say, but...Just don't get yourself in trouble, okay?" Aladdin said. Abu gave Ace a thumbs up too.

"Good Night, Aladdin." Ace said as Aladdin left the office.

"Good night, Ace." Aladdin closed the door behind him.

After 15 minutes, the door was opened again. A beautiful black haired girl with a golden dress entered Ace's office.

Ace didn't raise his head to know who she was "Took you long enough, Dalia." Ace chuckled. He signed the last scroll and put it aside, then he looked at Jasmine in front of him giving her his entire focus.

"Long enough to get a break." She said as she made her way to the nearby couch "Have any of that blood tear liquid thing on you?" she asked.

"Huh?" Ace tilted his head in confusion. "Blood what?" he asked.

Jasmine stayed silent for a moment before she spoke: "The thing you used on my wrist the day we met?"

Ace snapped from his confusion and realized what she was talking about "Oh yeah, that one. Of course, I still have. What? hurt yourself again?" Ace stood up and walked to her side. Honestly, he forgot about that. After all, the blood tears was just a name he came up with on the spot.

"My skin is burning and I wanted you to do the same thing as last time. Can you?"

"Give me your hand." Ace took out a red liquid bottle and used his [Fire Comandment] to give her some Vitamin D that she lacks a lot. Jasmine felt her body warm-up and she felt so fine. She looked at Ace and smiled "You know...you look so charming up close." she said.

"Do I now?" Ace chuckled, her advances on him weren't anything new to him by now "I can say the same thing for you."

"Please, my lord. Say some more." Jasmine chuckled as she put her hand on Ace's raven black hair.

"That will take the whole night." Ace traced his finger across' Jasmine's arm as he applied the Red Liquid on it.

"I have nothing to do for the night." She replied. Outside, through the window. Lightning started falling as droplets of rain defended and found their place on this sandy land. Rain has blessed Agrabah after many years.

Winter has come.

China - White March's Mountain Range

--------------------------------------------

The Hun army has camped near the White March mountain. After raising a village and killing its residents and their supplies. The Hun Army decided to rest for a couple of days to regain their strength and plan their next attack target.

From the largest tent. A tall and muscular man came out. His eyes were menacing as they have black sclera and yellow pupils like a hawk.

"Master Shan Yu. Our scouts reported that the Chinese army is still away by a distance of 2 weeks." His servant and one of his generals spoke, his voice was shaking from fear.

"Hmm! Good. We have passed the great wall. Nothing will stop us now." Shan Yu chuckled. A white dot fell on his nose and melted instantly. His eyes looked up to see more of it "Winter is here. It's only getting better and better. The Hun Army is unstoppable in harsh weather." he said.

"Yes, my lord. we will conquer China in no time." His servant added.

When they shared a good laugh between them, the snowing sky started shining with red light. Shan Yu saw something like a meteor headed in their direction. It passed above them and went behind the mountain range.

BOOOM!!!!

An expulsion rose from behind the mountains sending the Hun army in shock as they watched a pillar of flames rose up to the sky.

"I believe that was the White hills. Send a squad to see what was that. Now!" Shan Yu wasn't going to take any chances now. If that red thing is a trick by the Chinese army, they must stop it now and for all.

"Yes my lord." The servant took his leave to get a squad to go and scout the hills. Shan Yu thought for a moment 'Fire...Strange, That seemed like a fire attack from a sorcerer. I have seen one in the past but not this strong. Has the emperor got his hands on a fire sorcerer?'

As a squad was ready to leave for the hills. Shan Yu frowned and called "Wait!!" he shouted, "I will go with."
