The Luckiest Mage Should Have A Harem

Chapter 24 - The Crown Part 4

The Prince c.o.c.ked his head and scoffed, still bewildered by the fact he had just been attacked by none other than a nobody. No, as he examined closer it became blatantly clear that Warren was different.

He stepped back, "A wager? Why would I waste my time."

Warren shrugged, "It's seems fun, and from how you prepared your Magic I understand you planned on fighting no matter what."

Leo bit his fingernails, watching the duo exchange words. Firstly he was still coping with the fact that Warren, his mortal enemy just threw a gut bunch at the highest noble blood possible. Usually the Prince would have finished Warren off without batting an eye or lifting a finger, just as he did when they had bouts when they were younger.

The tantalizing memories of being destroyed by him had resurfaced briefly and made the situation all the more insane. Leo's two worst enemies had been right before him.

The one Citrus loves.

And the Prince he would have to challenge for the throne.

The heir said one word, "Speak."

Warren smiled, "Your Magic, you are using it, first off remove it from me."

The Prince face seem to crack as Warren mouthed his words. How had he noticed his Spell already, most would only take notice after it had been activated. In reality, the thinnest layer of Fey had encircled everyone, giving them a slight pink glow that only the Prince could see. Warren was truly troublesome, a sense of adventure plastered all around his body.

"Fine, it's done." The Prince sheathed his sword, "Now what?"

Warren turned toward Leo, "You can have Leo, But the other two are mine. If I manage to defeat both of them before you, you owe me one."

The night grew silent, and the air grew thick with anticipation. Ideas started to crawl up and down everyone's eyes, their gazes glancing toward one another. The Prince opened his mouth to speak, but a voice cut him off.

"So be it."

Leo had stepped forward, he was tired of waiting for his fate to be decided, and right now he wanted something that never occurred to him. Revenge, revenge on all the times he had been humiliated by an arrogant heir. No longer would he sit and wait for them to "make a wager".

It was do or die now.

"How about it Luther?" Leo asked aloud.

Prince Luther grinned, "Oh looks like someone grew bold..." He stepped past Warren. "Show me how far you have come little nephew."

Leo ignored it, well, he ignored everything around him. The crickets not far off, the beat in his c.h.e.s.t tha banged like a drum, even the his breathing; it had all drifted past him. In his tranquil trance, Fey began to gather, a silver hue surroundings the entire street with cold dry air.

Leo had finally tuned out everything, all but the slight gust of wind before him.

"<Void Eater>"

Warren had expected many things when he first met Leo. How he had figured out about him, why he was so persistent on fighting him, and how ANYONE in the world could stand side by side with his sister?

In that single moment, it became very clear why.

The air, it looked as if the air itself had been pulled away, and the natural Fey that drifted aimlessly had expanded from a single point. It was working like Warren's <Fold> Spell, except it was the complete opposite.

The Fey fleeing away from Leo with accelerating force. No, Warren looked closer, squinting his eyes and focusing on the minuscule particles of Magic. He had been wrong before, the Fey seemingly disappearing from existence.

Then the realization set in, and the puzzle had been pieced together faster than Warren had hoped. The Fey before him was not just vanishing out of thin air, it was....

It was being eaten, a strand of silver energy consuming everything it came into contact with. Warren evaded backwards, his instincts firing off on all cylinders. The clash that was about to happen going to catastrophic.

But before he could even move, a huge fist had been rocketed toward his head. Warren had barley sensed the action, and time seem to slow as two things occurred.

Firstly, the entire world around him shook violently, and secondly, Warren found himself face first in the dirt twenty meters away. It was as if he had been teleported, but in reality, his nose bled and the side of his cheek seem to be on fire. He had been...punched.

His lungs scr.a.p.ed for air as he g.r.o.a.n.e.d in pain. The attack had been the hardest punch of his entire life, even though Warren suffered so much before, it paled in comparison. Even with Kill Joy, he had only been stabbed. Something he realized after coming to another world was The fact that deep wounds had little pain, but felt unbearable uncomfortable.

This, this was just pain.

Jackev grinned eagerly as he trudged across a vacant garden, weeds shriveling in fear as he did. Underneath him, a long trail ran over the dirt leading him to a blonde headed boy who gripped the side of his face.

Warren took a few moments to slosh the blood around in his mouth before spitting it out. He made a promise not to let such a simple punch hit him again. With will alone, he managed to sit up and turn around, seeing the hefty figure of Jackev looming over him.

Warren bit his lip, "Would you mind letting me get up?"

Jackev chuckled aloud, "HAHA, good you withstood my <Tiger Claw>. You really are a worthy opponent."

Warren shrugged, "What can I say, I try my best." The Mage hopped to his feet, his boots digging deep into the ground. "And with a little bit of luck, nothing is impossible."

Jackev threw his hand back to point behind him, "Let's see if you are lucky enough to dodge that."

Warren rose an eyebrow, "Dodge wh-"

Jackev side stepped, a giant shower of bricks flinging toward Warren at blinding speed. Warren gritted his teeth and threw up a shield of Fey, cursing as he braced for impact.

But, funnily enough, thirty bricks blurred past him, not a single one hitting its mark. Jackev's eyes widened and glared backwards. Zo was just as baffled, seeing how his attack had missed.

Warren winked, and in his head he spoke gently, 'Thanks Lucy.'

The cat was perched on a wooden fence post, her paw waving toward him, 'Don't mention it Master, just win this like you always do.'

Warren took the shocking situation to put two meters between them, 'Easy for you to say...'

Jackev swirled toward Warren, his muscles tightening and his face turning red, "Fine, you happen to get lucky, but this time Alister."

Zo started his way toward him, "Shut it Jack, don't get fl.u.s.tered over such trivial mistakes." The calm and concise Mage stalked over to stand beside his partner.

He grinned, "For those who fight with a blade shall die by it."

Warren blinked a few times, "What?"

Zo snickered and stuck his hand out, "<Iron Forge>"

Zo's skin turned molten red, as if his arm had shifted to a plate of dark metal. The steam that rose gripped the air and s.u.c.k.e.d it inwards, a cloud of smoke sizzling out. Then, his hand bubbled like lava, its volcanic fumes spreading out. Warren gasped, seeing as after a few seconds, a perfect broadsword had been made.

"Here."

The blade seemed to cool instantly as it was tossed in the air, its somehow soft handle being caught in puzzled hands of Warren.

"What the, do you understand what you just did?"

Jackev sighed, "Zo is an honorable warrior, he will not seriously fight an opponent who is not at full strength. A lump of bullshit if you ask me."

Warren weighed the blade on a single finger, the metal now a dark grey. It was perfectly balanced too, and sharper than anything Warren had wielded.

"I can tell by your footing when you blocked my attack, if you had a sword, I fear I would of lost a limb." His eyes went dark, "My rage was my own sin, but to fight a swordsmen without his sword is the world's despair."

Warren nervously laughed, Wondering how he even got in this situation, he gripped the blade, 'Just my luck.' He thought.

Zo took a hefty step forward, a now cool odachi resting on his shoulder. It was similar to a katana, but its hand and blade were twice the size, and the way he held it, made Warren shiver.

He had never seen such a weapon, even if he lived on Earth. It seemed immensely heavy, but Zo simply lifted up to rise above his head to prepare an attack. Warren glared forward, pointing the tip of his new sword with precision.

There was a moment of silence as the world seem to stop. A great amount of Fey gathering toward the three. Warren could not help but smirk, his hair rushing past him as he advanced forward.
