The Maniacal General With His Crazy System

A sigh escaped the mouths of Laura, Saitama and Jack at the same time. Jack fell backwards and fell unconscious, he had to fully focus throughout the entire battle non-stop, and now he could finally reset. Laura, who was still on the battlefield, was breathing heavily, she turned around and gazed towards Averill, she then slowly trotted towards him. Saitama was standing still, there was a hint of a smile on his face as the thought over the battle he had just fought.

Averill was calmly gazing forward as he was perceiving everything. Averill still wasn't able to fully understand the situation he was currently in; he wasn't fighting alone, he had soldiers by his side, and his soldiers would even risk their lives to win for him… It was a strange feeling for Averill, and it wasn't that easy for him to accept it either, but it also felt good… It felt good that he wasn't alone any longer, that he had soldiers that he could trust and use.

"Averill, as the System said, it's done. We won without you intervening in it." Laura spoke in a rather calm voice to Averill, yet there was a hint of a smile plastered on her face. Laura was overjoyed right now, after all the training she had done, she was finally able to do one thing for Averill. And, this was just the beginning, Laura would continue to grow stronger and force Averill to notice her in every possible way.

"Yeah." Averill nodded as he spoke in a charmful voice. "I was happily surprised by how the three of you have grown. I have to say Laura, I do not regret creating the body for you." Averill complimented her and the other two too at the same time. He was indeed happily surprised by how strong Saitama and Laura grew to be and how good of a tactician Jack was growing to be, even to the point of figuring out the enemy's tactics.

With time, they would grow even stronger and better, and at that time, there wouldn't be much would be able to stand in his path…! Averill's smile went wider before he finally shook his head slightly, he then called out to Saitama. "Saitama, come here, we're going back." He then turned around and made a portal in front of him and walked through it.

Behind of Averill was Laura, she froze on her spot for a few seconds after she had heard Averill complimenting her. Her green eyes shone brightly as she gazed at Averill's back, her hair was covering most of her face, but her smile couldn't be hidden any longer, it was a wide smile. But the smile plastered on Laura's face wasn't of kindness or any of that, but it was a smile of pure joy.

But the smile on Laura's face vanished as quickly as it came to be, her expression went back to her frosty expression, even her eyes were cold again. She then walked through the portal that was not too far away from her.

Averill who was the first one to walk through the portal came into the mansion that he took over from that bat person. He was in the living room, but now in the living room he could Jack sleeping on the chair. Harleen was also sitting on a chair yet she was looking at him, and on the other side of the room he could see Selina laying on a couch, sleeping.

"Congratulations on completing your mission, Averill, how do you feel?" Harleen asked in a quite happy voice as she looked into Averill's sharp red eyes.

He didn't respond to Harleen's question quite yet, he went and sat down on a chair, and he then waited upon the arrival of Laura and Saitama who came through the portal within five seconds. Only after that Laura and Saitama also sat down, he answered Harleen's question.

"I am surprised, but it was within calculations. Though it wouldn't have mattered all too much if the mission was failed or successful. That is because I wouldn't have given up anyways if I had lost an arm." The weird smile was upon Averill's face as he spoke out, but Harleen, Saitama and Laura could notice it in his voice that he was indeed happy that he didn't lose an arm.

"A win is a win, Averill. You should try to relax a little bit, let's get something good to eat and have a party!" Saitama yelled out the last part, he was really hungry, and he couldn't wait to eat more of Averill's food, because his food was always the best.

Laura shook her mind as she sent a reproachful gaze towards Saitama, Saitama might be strong and he saved her life too, but she couldn't agree with his type of personality. They were allies, and Laura knew it too, they would fight together to ensure that Averill would win in any type of battles, and she could easily let her back be protected by Saitama. But if it was out of a battle, then Laura wouldn't want anything to do with Saitama…

On the other hand, Saitama didn't care about anything at all if it was outside of a battle. Nothing truly mattered how people saw him as, he might be playful and act childish at times, but that was because he wanted to allow himself to be honest to his truest feelings. Yet when he entered a battlefield, he was prepared to fight with his life on the line, and he would trust his comrades with his life!

Averill sighed in a low tone as he shrugged slightly before waving in front of him. Many platters filled with good looking food and the heavenly aura spread out in the room. "Let's have a meal then." Averill picked up a knife and a fork and slowly began eating, he couldn't deny that eating after a battle was quite nice, even if he didn't truly fight in the battle.

Laura, Harleen and Saitama began digging in, they have all eaten his food, and the taste of the food he created was beyond heavenly. Even the unconscious Jack woke up groggily, but his eyes widened before he grabbed a platter and ate swiftly without any care about the others around him.

After five or so minutes, Selina woke up too. Her hazy eye looked around the room, till her eye managed to focus properly, she saw and smelled the food that was not too far away from her.

Selina tried to stand up from the couch, it was a little bit hard for her. And she wasn't quite used to only having one eye left either, she managed to slowly walk towards a chair and also picked up a platter and began eating in a slow pace whilst looking at Averill who was on the opposite side of her.

Averill focused only on his food till he ate his share. He then gazed around the table, he looked at each of them. Laura, Saitama, Jack, Harleen and Selina…

"I have finally decided." Averill spoke out in a soothing voice, when he saw that every one of them was focused on him, he continued speaking. "I have decided that each one of you will be my soldiers now, you are part of my army."

The first one to react was Saitama, he cupped his shin as he gazed slightly upwards. "What army, do you even have one?"
