The Maniacal General With His Crazy System

After Saitama said that, the atmosphere in the room changed slightly.

On one side, Laura's expression froze entirely, she then sighed and facepalmed herself. She had low expectations of Saitama from the beginning, but Saitama would always find ways to surprise her.

On the other side of the table, Jack only had a large grin on his face as he stared into Saitama's eyes. The enormous grin on Jack's face warped into something close to Averill's maniacal grin before he responded in a light tone as he didn't speak not too loud nor too low. "Of course, he has one, we are his soldiers!"

When Harleen heard this, she couldn't help but to shake her head, she wasn't entirely sure if she was shaking her head to Saitama or Jack at this point. She kind of wanted to just laugh in despair due to how they were acting.

Selina was still eating slowly with her head lowered, but she was listening to everything and gazing at Saitama from time to time. Her expression couldn't be seen by the others that well, which was for the best she assumed.

When Averill heard what Saitama said, he wanted to smack his head, which he would do. He suddenly vanished from his spot and appeared behind of Saitama before smacking the back of his head.

*Smaaaaaaaacccccckkkk!*

The loudest smack was ever recorded now when Averill smacked Saitama's head. Saitama's face planted through the table and planted itself on the floor. There was a red hand mark on Saitama's bald head…

"Saitama, really?" Averill was also dumbfounded by Saitama's response. Averill knew for sure that Saitama wasn't dumb and that he was acting childish and stupid because he didn't know how else to act, but even that had a limit sometimes. That was all that Averill could say, he really had no idea what else to say to Saitama right now. What Averill knew he could do, was to fight Saitama to his limit when they return to his Domain, and Averill would then beat him up.

A chair appeared behind of Averill as he slowly sat down. He then closed his eyelids slowly as he tried sensing everything around himself. Frist the planet, then the galaxy and even further from that. He tried to find something that could interest him after Spectre, but it seems like there are none…

"We will leave this Universe shortly, nothing is required to prepare." Averill's voice was charmful as usual, but his red sharp eyes gazed at Laura, Jack and Harleen who was nodding casually. Even Saitama was now standing up straight as he nodded several times like a child that wanted to return home. After having looked at them, Averill finally looked at Selina who had finally raised her face to gaze into Averill's eyes.

Selina's body was fully recovered aside from her right eye that was destroyed by the acid the bat man placed in it. The expression that was on Selina's face was something in between of admitting defeat and hoping for something good to happen.

These things that happened to Selina has been horrendous. She was first tortured by Averill repeatedly before she did something for him, and after that, she was captured by Batman and tortured once again. Selina is able to clearly remember all of the pain she had to go through, yet, there was a light in the end of the tunnel, which was actually Averill. He was her light, he pulled her out of the pain, he healed her body, yet she was still afraid of all the pain and being alone. Selina didn't want to be alone any longer, she was afraid, very much so too. If she had to decide, she would rather want to be with Averill than to be left alone in this world…

The room went silent, everyone else was gazing at Selina and Averill. Averill was the one who decided on what would happen. For Saitama, it didn't matter if Selina joined them or not, as long as he can have fun fighting to his limit and eat till he was full.

For Jack, he would rather that Selina didn't tag along them, if Averill's goal is to search multiple Universes for strong people as he suspects, then bringing someone weak is a waste of time and wouldn't benefit them when he could recruit stronger people or those with a talent in something.

Laura was one of the few that could feel with what Selina has gone through, and Selina's current power and strength didn't matter as she knew that Averill through the System could do almost anything and everything he wanted to do. So, making Selina talented or strong wouldn't be troublesome to him.

Harleen was having around the same thoughts as Laura. But it was because she had seen what Batman had done to her. If someone has gone through so much pain, and to be finally rescued by someone who was going to leave. Those people would usually go along with their rescuer because they felt safe with that person. It was easy for Harleen to see that Selina felt relaxed, calm and at peace when Averill entered the room earlier and how tense she was earlier when he was gone.

Before Selina could even say something, she saw Averill opening his mouth to speak. She shut her mouth closed and listened to each word Averill would say.

"You'll be coming with me." Those were the words Averill said, his voice this time around was slightly more serious than usual. And before anyone could properly react by how Averill decided on that, he continued speaking. "System, take us to my Domain."

[Of course, Host. Transferring everyone to Host's Domain.] The System has been of course listening to everything from the start, and it was prepared to transfer them to the Domain since the beginning.
