By the time I reached the gates of Feido with Gina, she was crying miserably. She had seen Paul stop and turn to face the monster as I ran away with her.

"Please, Lucifer. Please save my husband! Please, please, please..." Gina cried uncontrollably. At that moment, Bella came running towards me, followed by a mountain of a man. It was Guildmaster Brandon.

"Guildmaster!" I called out. "I-..."

"No need to explain." Guildmaster Brandon cut me off. "Bella explained the situation. Follow me. I'll stop the monster, while you get Paul out of there."

I nodded in agreement and turned around. Suddenly, a shadow passed by me from behind, followed by a massive gust of wind. I looked behind me and realized Guildmaster Brandon was already gone. He was fast! Far faster than I was at the moment.

I smiled to myself as I ran after him. This was the power of a Guildmaster! He was at least an S rank, if not above. I remembered that to be a Guildmaster, one needed to reach at least S rank. There were ranks above S, but I still didn't know what they were.

I kept running at full speed, and soon enough, I could see Guildmaster Brandon fighting the monster. It was quite a sight to witness. The monster was having a tough time moving normally, since Guildmaster Brandon kept activating his Unique Skill, Niflheim, whenever the monster started an attack. It caused every movement to seem forced and sloppy.

I looked around and found Paul a short distance from the fight, blood all over his body. I ran over and after a closer look, my breath turned cold. His right arm had been completely shattered, and blood covered most of his body. Multiple wounds covered his body, making him look like a victim of a terrorist attack.

I picked up his left arm and held his wrist to check for a pulse. I sighed in relief. He was still alive. Now I just needed to get him back to the city, and hopefully a doctor would be ready by the gate. I gently picked him up, fireman carry style, and slowly picked up speed as I headed back to Feido.

I turned my head to look back as I ran and saw the Guildmaster welding a huge sword as he fight the monster. It seemed he had the advantage, so I was not too worried. Focusing on my job, I ran as fast as I could while trying not to damage Paul's body any more than it already was.

Slowly, the walls of the city got larger as I got closer. Soon enough, I could see a group of twelve people heading towards me, Bella and Gina among them. I stopped once they were close enough, and gently placed Paul and a cloth I took out from my bag.

Three people from the group moved past us as they went to help the Guildmaster, while the rest stopped and focused on Paul. Gina started sobbing uncontrollably the moment she saw the state Paul was in. I looked at Bella as an understanding passed between us.

"Gina. Come here. Paul will be fine, so let's calm you down for now." Bella said as she walked a small distance away with a crying Gina.

The seven people who had come with them were already working on saving Paul. They started smearing a salve on the wounds that looked the most serious, quickly stopping the bleeding.

Two of them stopped using the salve and gently held Paul's mangled arm in their hands. A calming green light slowly spread out from their hands and covered Paul's arm. Slowly, the cuts on his arm disappeared.

Over the next twenty minutes Paul's body was treated and his complexion turned from a pale white to a slightly more peachy color. The two healers working on his arm finally stopped and shook their heads, frowns on their faces.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"His bone was shattered so terribly, we don't have the ability to restore it. He won't feel pain from his arm, but he will never be able to use it again." She said in a gentle tone. "I'm sorry, but there is nothing we can do."

At that moment, Velli stuck his head out of the pouch that he had been hiding in. He looked at me for a moment, then turned his attention to Paul.

I was watching Velli with a confused expression, wondering what he was doing. "Me. Heal." I heard Velli's voice in my head.

"You can do that?" I asked through our mental connection.

Velli nodded his head, his eyes never leaving Paul.

I decided to trust Velli and placed him next to Paul's arm at his request. The people who had been healing Paul jumped back at the sight of a baby dragon, surprise and fear clearly written on their faces.

Velli ignored them and placed his two front legs on Paul's arm. Suddenly, crunching noises came from Paul's arm, causing him to grimace in his sleep. Slowly, Paul's arm changed, becoming more and more normal in appearance. Soon enough, it looked as though his arm had never even been damaged.

"Th-that's Angels Touch!" One of the healers cried out, shock written on all their faces.

"What's Angels Touch?" I asked.

"Angels Touch is a very rare ability among monsters. It's like a monsters version of our Unique Skills." One if the healers explained. "This ability can heal any wounds and restore stamina. It requires a huge amount of MP to use, so it only appears among high tier monsters."

Woah. That's a crazy ability. Too bad I couldn't learn it. After all, Unique Skills only appear among the humanoid races. While some monsters have abilities, they're not considered Unique Skills.

Now that we were sure Paul would be fine, I picked Velli up and walked over to Bella and Gina to tell them the news. Hearing my footsteps, Gina looked up, tears streaming down her face. They had moved behind a boulder, so Gina couldn't see what was happening in case things turned for the worse.

"Good news." I said. "Paul will be completely fine. Now we just have to wait until he wakes up."

Gina stared at me for a moment as my words sunk in. Soon enough, a smile spread across her face as she jumped up and ran to Paul's side. Bella stood up and looked at me with a strange smile.

"What? Is there something on my face?" I asked.

Bella hugged my arm and started following Gina with me in tow. "Oh, it's nothing." She said, leaving me more confused than before.

Once we walked back to where Paul was lying, we sat down a short distance from Gina. The healers were already cleaning up their stuff, and packing it into small bags they had brought with them.

"Excuse me," I said to one of the healers. "Don't we need to pay for the treatment?"

"Don't worry about it." He replied. "Guildmaster Brandon pays us monthly to take care of things like this. It's the guilds job to make sure their employees don't die whenever possible."

That made sense to me. I left it there and the healers started heading back to the city. At that moment, the sounds of fighting in the distance finally died down, followed by a huge thump, as something large crashed to the ground.

A few minutes later, the three men that had gone to help the Guildmaster came into view. Once they were within talking distance, I asked, "Where is the Guildmaster?"

One of the three men replied, "He I investigating the body of that monster. It seems to be an unknown creature, so the Guildmaster is recording whatever details he can about it. This will probably turn into a larger investigation. The Guildmaster said that all of you should return to the guild and wait for him."

"I see. Thanks for letting us know." I thanked the man.

"Standing up, I walked over to Gina and Paul and said, "Well, let's head back to the guild. I'll carry Paul until he wakes up."

Gina nodded her head in agreement, and moments later the four of us were walking back to the guild. Bella and Gina walked behind me, since they were worried that Paul might fall off my back. I smiled to myself, glad that everyone came out of that predicament safely.
