The Old Knight of a Frontier District

Episode 3: The Old Lady of Pharmacists (Part II)

And before the old woman is loaded with firewood.

I picked up as many of those dead trees as I could because there were plenty of oil-rich Coinensilly trees growing nearby.

In front, in order to light the seed fire, there is a pile of elongated dead leaves of the coinensiry and thin, flat dead leaves of the porpoise.

Geriadra's stems can be cut off easily.

Cutting off all the stems that are growing now, although it takes some time, is not an impossible story.

But then they say the basement stem will remain.

This herd is all connected by the roots that grow beneath the ground, so to speak, this whole thing is one guerriadra.

Geriadra is an inherently weakly viable plant that withers quickly even when sprouted.

However, when grown to a certain size or more, it becomes dramatically stronger, driving other plants to grow, and begins to grow ground stems.

The only way to destroy this cursed plant, he said, is to burn the basement stem with a great fire.

As a plant like that, Geriadra wonders where the bugs inside come from.

To the question, the old woman replied, I don't know.

Geriadra's fruit is always filled with worm eggs.

Maybe that bug isn't a bug, it's a plant that behaves like a bug, and on the contrary, Geriadra is an animal that looks like a plant.

If I ever see a great scholar one day, I'd love to hear it, the old lady said.

"Finally."

Upon the old woman's signal, Bardo met the firestone.

Sparks scattered and porpoise leaves burned small.

Fire just happens to burn on five or six leaves of porpoise.

Subsequently, the brown dead leaves of the Coinensilly start to burn with buckwheat and buckwheat noise.

Bardo stepped back quietly so as not to disturb him.

The old woman closes her eyes, hands together, and begins to say something.

The chanting words, which were whispered in a voice so small that they could not be heard, gradually grew louder.

That's a word I've never heard.

I have no idea what that means, Bardo.

The festival, which can be raised, engraves a rhythm as if it were a singing voice of a skilled musician.

The hindsight of the old woman who chants is no longer lying back, nor weak.

The old woman opened her hands wide.

The flames burn all over the firewood.

Baldo felt his skin burned for a moment in the hot air that pushed him over.

Baldo began to descend down the slope.

When it caught fire, the old woman told me to evacuate to the wetlands further beyond the Valley River.

The horse, along with the old lady's luggage, has already been moved.

I asked if the old woman herself would be in danger if she had to run that far away.

The old woman,

"I've already told you that it's okay if I'm burned by fire."

I replied.

Even though I was surprised (a lot) that it was such a story, I honestly decided to follow the instructions, wondering if there were quite a few calculations for a certain pharmacist (dull).

Before leaving, a giant shield frog (Lower Worgle) was seen attacking the old woman in Baldo's eyes looking back to see how the fire was again.

Bardo pulled out his sword and ran out.

A shield frog (low worgle) is a species of lizard (nada), although it is named after a frog (worgle).

That's what they call it because they look like they've squashed a giant frog flat.

It is patterned green, yellow, yellow green and brown, and is strangely difficult to find, dispersed in trees and grass.

The first half of a giant body may be called a mouth, and its lethal power, which has surprisingly grown a razor-sharp tooth, is something to be fought against.

The epidermis is rugged, slippery and unusually hard, plus beneath it is an exoskeleton like armor (good), which is not effectively damaged by the sword first.

Now the shield frog (Lower Worgle) trying to attack the old woman is huge enough not even in Baldo's memory that her body length exceeds that of a person.

In time.

In front of Bardo, who ran over thinking, a shield frog (Lower Worgle) bounced open his mouth.

Baldo jumps, too.

The monstrous mouth of the shield frog (Lower Worgle) nearly reached the old woman's waist, and Baldo hit her from side to side.

Baldo was bounced back and fell on the grass, but with a grumpy special attack, the attack of the Shield Frog (Lower Worg Guru) was slightly distracted from the old lady and plunged into the edge of the burning firewood to raise the firepowder high.

It would have been just as hot, showing the reluctant sleigh and paying off the firepowder, the shield frog (Lower Worgle) turned towards the cursor and the bald.

Looks like you've identified Bardo as your enemy.

Then you can attract the Shield Frog (Lower Worgle) and escape.

Trying to get up, Bardo felt a strong pain in his chest and lower back.

Not good.

In this state, I can't run fast.

I don't think so.

Make a noise and the Shield Frog (Lower Worgle) is imminent.

The limbs of the shield frog (Lower Worgle) are short but move unexpectedly quickly.

Running ten or twenty steps quickly, you pause, breathe, and run ten or twenty steps again.

For some reason, it doesn't go straight.

Diagonally forward, diagonally forward, and jiggly forward.

And at the end of the day, they will fly to their prey.

Baldo spotted the shield frog's (low worgle) movement until the end of the line, and jumped to the right side at the moment of flying.

If they cannot escape far away, they tried to seal the target's attack at the point where the trees grew densely.

Shield frogs (low worgles) changed direction and traveled faster than expected by Bardo.

Still, while running jiggly, he managed to jump into the woods after three attacks.

From right behind it, a shield frog (Lower Worgle) flies up.

He escaped behind a tree about his thigh, but the shield frog (Lower Worgle) broke the tree easily due to a leap attack.

A broken flying tree hit his left shoulder, and Bardo was skipped, but thanks to it, he didn't have to be captured by the giant jaw (after) of the frog.

Several trees solidified and fled to where they were growing.

No matter how much, I can't break this thick tree.

Also, there is no gap between the trees and the trees where this big frog can pass.

Now take a breath, I thought it was a big mistake.

Frogs jump at me.

Surprisingly, the monstrous frog twisted himself in the air, through the gaps in the trees in an almost straight-lined position, and hit Baldo.

At that time, there was something that touched Baldo's left hand.

It is a slice of wood that was spilled when firewood was collected.

The Shield Frog (Lower Worgle) opens its mouth wide open.

Surprisingly grown, overgrown teeth and a poisonous, unplugged oral cavity were exposed to Baldo's eyes.

I stuck a chop of wood deep into its mouth.

The frog shut his mouth and tried to eat off his left arm.

However, a wooden chop stuck just perpendicular to the opening and closing direction of his mouth became a gripping stick, and the frog could not close his jaw.

Baldo and the frog fell.

The frog's teeth ate into his left arm, but he doesn't try to pull the penetrated left hand.

In the frog's ever-greater eyes, a flame of anger broke, and his mouth opened wide to the extreme.

He will kill Bardo without regard.

Bardo didn't run away.

The opposite is true.

Every body, jumped into the frog's mouth.

Stick the sword of your right hand deep and deep into the back of your mouth.

At the same time, the wood cut in his left hand was inserted deeper into his mouth.

Frog's mouth closed.

But you can't eat and kill Baldo because the tree chop turned into a stick that's stuck in the root area.

Now Bardo's upper body is jumping completely into the frog's mouth.

The right-hand sword was angled and plunged deep into the frog's body many times.

Aim is the heart.

And the frog twisted himself violently, and flew Baldo.

Bardo, unable to get up, only woke up and looked at the frog.

The frog is upside down and has cramps.

The movement gradually became smaller and slower, and he died.

It is a great medal to defeat the Shield Frog (Lower Worg Guru) alone and with a sword.

I can still do it, too.

And, Bardo admired his bad luck.

Instead of running anymore, you can't even wake yourself up.

Faces, mustaches, hands, with frog blood and body fluids.

I twisted my neck and looked at the old woman.

There were sights of suspicion in the eyes.

The burning flames burn one after the other into the mountain trees, surrounding the swarms of strange plants.

The flames simultaneously struck the flock.

Burn.

Burn.

Burn the fruits of the devil and the flames burn.

I felt the heat of burning my skin.

but Baldo's attention was not suited to pain, heat, or target as if he were willing.

One woman stands in front of a pile of firewood.

Singing a song about manipulating the flames.

Open your hands and lift them high.

One young and beautiful woman stands.

The hair, which should have been white, has dark hair that reaches to the waist and is abundantly rippled by the wind produced by the flames.

The garment, which should have been a blurry travel outfit, has become a translucent thin clothing (not too much), illuminated by the flames, which makes its luscious limbs float with no extra space.

The only thing you can see from Baldo is hindsight, and you can't see his face.

But Bardo did not doubt that its face was so young and so beautiful that it did not seem to belong in this world.

The flames and the figure of the woman who manipulated them gave peace to Bardo's heart, even with wonder and divinity.

In the heat of the wind, Bardo crushed the name of every god I believed in and let go of consciousness.

Baldo, at some point, was transported to the wetlands and received allowances.

The fire continued to burn for three days and three nights, burning down the roots of Geriadra.

Then a month later, Bardo acted with the old woman.

The old woman taught Bardo about different medicinal herbs and prescriptions.

Knowledge of edible plant roots and cooking methods was also imparted.

I was suffocated to be drunk every day with bitter loose medicinal water that made my illness difficult to migrate and poison resistant.

If Bardo asked if there was any medicine to cure the pain in his back and shoulders, he would return the unanswered answer that old age is not a disease.

In the first month, he went to a point where people could see him.

The Great River Ova is not far either.

From Pakla to Ova the Great River, you can get there in ten days if you hurry on foot.

Even though I had luggage, it took me more than two months to walk through it, so I can call it a much slower journey.

It was a good trip.

I had a rare experience and learned a lot of new knowledge.

When I got to Linz, I thought I'd write to Pakla.

I looked back to say thank you, but the old woman had disappeared at some point.
