The Only Delicacy

From her perspective, the old nurse saw three people sleeping on the bed. Since the twin's pants were covered by the blanket, the old nurse thought that both men and the woman tightly sandwiched in between them were all naked!

'I actually went to the wrong bed!' The old nurse angrily thought as she was annoyed at the fact of how old she really was.

But, before she turned around, Mathilda immediately experienced the cramps from her ankles again, making her wonder why in the world her ankles were in pain.

As she wondered about the cause of her pain, the old nurse immediately remembered the past events this morning, especially leaving Kevin alone to comfort that woman. She immediately brightened up and stared at the three people peacefully sleeping without a care in the world.

She had actually played cupid and had just forgotten all about it!

'Why am I so forgetful? Am I really that old?' Mathilda depressingly thought to herself.

Regardless of whether she was old or not, Mathilda had more priorities at hand, and that was staring at these three lovebirds in front of her!

'Oh dear, had they really done it? Two men with one girl? Kyaa! Wouldn't that hurt much more? I suddenly feel sorry for the girl! Wait, sorry? No, of course not! Not one bit! She must have felt like she was in heaven! Hahahha! Oh dear, youth!" Mathilda slightly trembled and blushed as she intently looked at them, like she was prying open their souls.

But, before she could pry open their soul, another question came to her mind.

'Wait, two men?! Didn't I only pair the girl up with Kevin? Who's that other man?" Mathilda thought as she sneaked closer to the bed and stared at the other man beside the girl.

From a closer look, that man looked way too much like Kevin!

Could it be? Was he Kevin's twin?

'Aren't these twins well-known for being the most desirable single men in the academy? Weren't they the hardest obstacles to conquer? No, more like the hardest beasts to tame? But, from the looks of it, were they actually single because they were both interested in her all along? Were they simply looking for the right timing? If that was really the case, weren't they already taken from the very beginning?' Mathilda's brain was muddled with one question after the other as she excitedly looked at the people on the bed.

The old nurse was kind of sorry for those girls who had unrequited love for the twins.

Not sorry!

As she excitedly looked at the three people sleeping on the bed, Mathilda noticed that the beautiful girl was slightly sweating from being tightly embraced and sandwiched in between them.

'Oh dear, what a failure as the head nurse!' Mathilda anxiously thought as she lectured herself for her incompetency and mistake.

As she closely examined the girl at a proper distance, Mathilda noticed that the color of her complexion was normal, not pale, and that her breathing was also normal. She could not sense the girl's burning fever a while ago, only the peaceful and contented smile the girl had while sleeping.

'Thank goodness! She's alright!' Mathilda sighed and became relieved. It seemed like her incompetency today had not done any damage.

'Wait. Hm?' Mathilda intently stared at the girl like she had missed an important piece of the puzzle.

Right then, a realization struck the old nurse.

Mathilda had neither treated her injury nor given her any medicines for her fever. But, the girl's fever and injuries miraculously vanished into thin air. The girl's skin was absolutely flawless and smooth, as if she had never suffered anything from the beginning.

Of course, except for the girl's obvious hickeys.

"Was this the so-called 'power of love?'"Mathilda became awestruck and excited.

The old nurse never expected that she would witness a miracle like this in her whole life. Yet here she was, witnessing something amazing first-hand!

Even though that girl looked pitiful from being sandwiched, she was blessed at the same time, because she was treated like the most important treasure between those two men.

'So, that girl's true love was not only Kevin, huh?' Mathilda became giddy from the overflowing emotions bottling inside of her.

Oh, how she would so love to yell out her feelings like a teenager who was so worked up by romantic movies! But, she could not, or else she would destroy the lovely atmosphere between them!

'Tomorrow, I have to ask for the girl's name. I have to get to know her in order to know all the juicy details!' Mathilda vowed to herself as she also promised to lend the clinic to these three youngsters in love.

But, before she could continue being lost in her romantic delusions, more pain seeped through the old nurse's ankles. Mathilda immediately covered her mouth when she was about to yell out in pain.

Mathilda immediately went to the bed in the opposite direction, got the medicine on the bedside table, and drank it before laying on the bed to rest.

As she lay on the bed, the old nurse felt like she had forgotten something really important. Then, she remembered! It was already past work hours, but she had not gone home yet! Oh well, she would just rest a little bit and go home after.

As she slept, Mathilda felt like she had forgotten something way more important than that. But, with her exhausted state of mind, she placed that thought at the back of her head and peacefully slept like a log.

Amidst the peaceful and lovely evening, only two people were not having a peaceful slumber as they began to burn with high fever and colds.

Unfortunately, the two leaders of the fan club, who had pretended to be sick, had literally become sick, because of chatting with the old nurse for too long. However, even though they were sick in their own homes, these two girls were smiling, blushing, trembling and contented as they lay on the bed.

If it came to their idols, then a sacrifice like this was so worth it!
