The Only Delicacy

"Ahem…"

Right before any of them could make their move, that deep and stern voice resonating behind them immediately led them out of their thoughts.

Kyle and Kevin slowly shifted their gazes and stared back at that light bulb with a dazzling smile and a gloomy frown. They were both secretly annoyed from being disturbed at such a precious moment.

'What a bad timing…' Kevin sighed again as he stared at that person and smiled again. Despite that person calling his attention, he never once let go of his beloved.

"Tsk!" Meanwhile, Kyle wrapped his arms like a knot all over his beloved's neck, leaned his head right above her head, rolled his eyes, and clicked his tongue to indicate how displeased he was with the disturbance.

Unfortunately, it seemed like the twins would have to wait a little longer in order to erase all of the misunderstandings that had occurred out of the blue. Meanwhile, Scarlet forgot to run away and simply stared at that person out of curiosity.

Right at that moment, Scarlet was immediately stunned in her place.

From her perspective, Scarlet saw a man in his twenties with outstanding handsome features, such as his very tall height that was on par with the twins, his glossy neck-length wavy light brown hair, his attractive almond-shaped dark brown eyes, and his smooth and dewy wheat-colored skin.

However, what made her stunned most of all was not due to his amazing good looks, but because the man right before her was none other than Sir Charles! The most infamous teacher among the students of the entire academy, so infamous that not even one student admired his stunning looks.

Scarlet immediately came back to reality once she saw his brows slightly twitching.

She now realized how indecent her position was.

She did not want to be blacklisted, so she used all of her efforts to move out of the twins' embrace, but it was all futile! She was literally like a small animal squirming within their tight embrace, which made her feel very frustrated.

She never knew she was this weak.

In fact, whether she was their prey, friend, or whatever, her plans never changed. She must be strong, strong enough that the twins would have no other choice but to bow down over her might and experience the same painful and confined feeling of being tightly embraced like a knot!

Wait, her plans should be saved for later. What was Sir Charles doing here in the first place?

More importantly, she had now remembered that she had make-up classes to attend to! How had she forgotten such an important matter again?

Whenever she was with the twins, Scarlet finally realized that her mind would always be chaotic to the point that she would forget about literally everything. She did not know if this was a good or a bad thing.

Most probably the latter.

As the most efficient and well-known teacher of the academy, he was not a dense idiot who would not notice the hidden meaning behind their arrogant and displeased gazes. For the past 3 years, he was used to this treatment. As a mature adult, he did not mind it because these twins would always accomplish everything perfectly, perfect to the point that he could not find any mistake to vent out his displeasure.

Hence, he had to silently bear with it all this while.

More than that, Sir Charles was annoyed at how indecent their position was. These brats were forcefully hogging the poor girl all to themselves again! Was that how geniuses always behaved?

If these brats dared to play with his limited patience, Sir Charles hid a wicked smile.

Well, that would all depend on the future…

Seeing that they were all finally paying attention to him, Sir Charles broke away from his future plans and continued, "If you're all wondering why I am the teacher in-charge, it's because your beloved 'hater-of-uniforms' teacher had unfortunately caught a cold at this very moment and had asked me to temporarily take his place. Since he allowed you all to wear something casual, then I have no say for the matter."

At the next moment, Sir Charles sternly stared at the girl sandwiched in between and politely lectured, "Even if he allowed you to wear something casual, I hope that you would not wear such a revealing dress next time. Please pull up your off-shoulders."

Through the adrenaline rushing within her veins once more, Scarlet abruptly broke away from their tight hold and hastily pulled up her off-shoulders out of embarrassment. She thought her dress was alright at first, but when he had commented, it made her realize that she was entirely wrong.

Her white dress was really somewhat revealing.

As her face reddened to her ears, Scarlet softly sighed and tightened her off-shoulders until it became a decent dress. It seemed like she had actually wasted rather than saved money from purchasing this dress. Well, it did not matter anyway. As long as she altered the off-shoulders later, then it would not be a waste at all, she reminded herself.

When they saw her cute reaction, the twins could not help but stare at her. Yes, they seemed like they were once again captivated by her as always. However, in reality, they were slightly angered by the fact that Sir Charles was able to make her feel that way.

That blush was only reserved for them and no one else's.

Kevin turned his gaze towards that annoying teacher and revealed a very dazzling smile, dazzling enough to literally blind people to death. Meanwhile, Kyle also looked back at Sir Charles and simply displayed a blank expression despite his insides wrecking havoc everywhere.

Sadly, they were still students under him and they knew their limits.

Seeing their angered expressions that were barely visible to the naked eye, Sir Charles hid a snicker that no one but the baby cupid could detect. No matter how much they tried to hide it, not one little detail could avoid his sharp observation.

'These brats were actually trying to pick a fight with an adult.'

If they were adults, he would have obliged. However, that was 'if' they were adults.

"Thank you, sensei! You're the best! The best of the best!!" When he saw that his assignment was finally out of the twin's annoying clutches, Alfred jumped for joy and flew towards Sir Charles for a hug, except that...

Alfred sadly went right through him.

Well, it did not matter if he could not hug him. A savior was still a savior.

This person called 'Sir Charles' was now definitely listed in his good books!

"The class is already delayed for almost a minute because of your small chitchats. Quickly find your seats." Sir Charles nonchalantly continued as he hid his thoughts within him like a professional actor.

Even the baby cupid could not read past his nonchalant and serious expression. Of course, Sir Charles was entirely oblivious towards the baby cupid who kept trying to hug him for an nth time up to no avail.

Technically speaking, the baby cupid treated him almost like his god for just that one statement.

Right then, everyone followed the teacher's orders and obediently went to their seats. At that moment, Sir Charles was able to see the visible erection of the twins, making him secretly irritated and amused. He knew very well at how difficult it was to not attend to those matters.

Since they were still brats and since it was not his problem, he ignored their sexual frustration like a mature adult would.

Once she had found a seat to her liking, Scarlet sat down and was then followed by the twins who sat on either side of her.

She instinctively looked up to Sir Charles and wondered what he would let them do next. She hoped it was the usual discussion or activity, not those tiring and time-consuming pop quizzes or tests.
