Okami was very pleased to know that his DP and PP reserves were getting higher. He was careful to use them to save for an emergency.

"Pidgeotto, continue looking for Tomiro. This time, try searching the west side of Ryota."

Pidgeotto screeched and flew up to the west.

This time, Okami went from one house to another to ask if they saw Tomiro today but almost all of the person he inquired have said that they did not. Some even answered that they did not want to be bothered because they were still busy taking care of their things due to Zapdos' attack. Even then, he persisted to search for his PokeMart cashier candidate.

After several minutes of searching, Rattata returned and told him that he saw Tomiro inside one of the houses within the Ryota corner, further adding that the grown man was unconscious and gagged. He immediately followed Rattata and soon arrived at a dilapidated shop beside the Red District.

Okami took out his Pokemon App and checked the PokeMap.

Hidden Area: Thieves' Den

Okami felt that this scenario was not simple, considering Tomiro was inside an area called the Thieves' Den. "Well, this is another case for Pokemon Detective Okami."

He scanned the surroundings and observed that only a few people could be seen walking around the corner. It was understandable that some houses and stores were already closed due to Zapdos' attacks. The only sound that could be heard on the street was the voices of young men who were loitering on the sidewalk.

Okami noticed that these young men were giving him glimpses from time to time. He somehow felt that someone was looking at him as he scanned the area. He found no one yet the uncomfortable sensation never left him.

Okami walked towards the corner and as soon as he reached behind the house where the young men could not see him, he teleported right away towards his previous location where Pidgeotto landed a while ago. This time, the strange feeling was gone.

Okami summoned the rest of his pokemon and everyone surrounded him as soon as they appeared.

"We've got some work to do, everyone. Tomiro is kidnapped and he needs our help."

Vulpix emitted some flame on his mouth due to anger. Paras scratched the small plank, which was broken to pieces. Butterfree and Beedrill both fluttered their wings crazily as if they were ready to fly away. Jigglypuff inflated while Chansey slapped the nearest wood. Venonat's body was oozing with violet liquid.

Okami almost laughed out loud when he heard what they were saying inside his mind. He initially thought that they were concerned about Tomiro because they considered him as their friend. But the reality was that they were just angry because someone took away their food deliverer.

"Okay, everyone. This time, we have to play discreetly in order to avoid the enemy from knowing what we are doing and we need back-up to capture these people. I'll teleport beside the shop and summon you. Once we're there, Beedrill and Vulpix, make sure that you watch any signs of Tomiro. If you see them outside with Tomiro, then make sure that you inform each and every Pokemon with you and knock them out altogether. No killing. Just knock them out. If possible, cover your ears and let Jigglypuff sing as a last resort, okay? Chansey, heal anyone who's hurt and inform Rattata and Pidgeotto about the current situation once they come back."

Everyone agreed.

Okami unsummoned everyone and teleported back to the corner beside the Thieves' Den. Once he found a well-hidden area, he summoned everyone and the pokemon surrounded the house. "Wait for me, okay? I'll bring some authorities to subdue these criminals."

Okami teleported near the entrance of the Academy and went towards the Hokage's quarter. Once he reached the stairs that led to Hiruzen's office, he saw Hanshi who was guarding the door. He greeted him and asked permission to enter the premise.

Hanshi told him to wait for a few minutes and asked Hiruzen. Not even a minute had passed when Hanshi came back and said, "You may come inside."

"Thank you, Hanshi-san." Okami entered and saw Hiruzen together with Inoichi and Shikaku. "Hello, Hokage-sama, Inoichi-san and Shikaku-san."

Hiruzen smiled. "What brought you here, Okami-kun?"

Okami told him the situation that happened to Tomiro. "That's the case, Hokage-sama. I need someone in authority to subdue these thieves and help my friend. My pokemon are currently guarding the shop."

Inoichi and Shikaku exchanged glances while Hiruzen and Okami were having their conversation. Once Inoichi heard of Tomiro's predicament, he suddenly interrupted. "You're talking about subduing the thieves? Then let me handle that. I want to test what my pokemon can do."

Shikaku laughed. "Can't find another living target to practice our Pokemon Jutsu. The thieves are good candidates to be my pokemon's sparring partner."

Okami realized that these two ninjas treated the thieves as the target of their pokemon and had nothing fun to do. For once, he pitied the thieves.

Hiruzen coughed lightly. "Well, if you insist. You may go as long as you don't overdo it."

"No problem, Hokage-sama," Inoichi assured.

Shikaku grinned. "Let us handle this, Hokage-sama."

Okami smirked when he noticed that these grown men had their playful side as well. "If you insist. You okay if we go by teleport? It's much faster."

"Kakashi told us that it's an unpleasant feeling." Inoichi gave him a calculating look. "Anyway, I'm a veteran so a simple thing like that can't stop me. Let's go."

"Sure."

"Blergh!"

Okami could not help but grin when he saw Shikaku and Inoichi both puking their guts out. "Eh, I thought that you will not suffer because you said you're veterans."

Shikaku shook his head as he wiped some drool on his mouth. "Aaaah...so terrible..."

Inoichi massaged his head. "Very bad..."

Okami looked around and saw that his pokemon were still surrounding the shop. This time, Pidgeotto and Rattata were present. The bird pokemon perched on one of the nearby roofs while Rattata was on standby.

Inoichi saw what the pokemon were doing. "They're disciplined and good."

"I agree. Seems like pokemon should be treated like a human being. They're intelligent and listen to commands. They're perfect allies," Shikaku added as he stood up and walk beside Okami.

"Before anything else, let us do some reconnaissance and determine how many people are there inside the house." Inoichi summoned Zubat. "Inochi, time for your practical exam. Use your sonar abilities to determine how many people are currently inside that shop."

"Wait," Okami stopped them and signaled Rattata to approach him. Rattata saw the signal and ran towards Okami. "Rattata, form a hole to let Zubat fly in."

Zubat fluttered his wings and flew towards Rattata and they did what the two commanded them. Soon, a hole was formed big enough to fit the small Zubat but Inochi did not fly inside. What he did was create some sonar waves with his wings through the hole while hovering in the air. It took almost five minutes before Zubat stopped and went flying towards Inoichi to give the report.

Inoichi gave him a thumbs-up and petted him. "Good work, Inochi. Next time, use your Chakra-infused sonar ability to determine its effect on multiple targets."

Okami was wide-eyed when he heard about chakra-infused moves. "What did you say?! But pokemon have no chakra. How can they use chakra when they don't have one?"

"Oh?! So you didn't know that pokemon can possess chakra?" Inoichi gave him an inquisitive look. "Well, I've contacted some of my Hyuga friends and told me that my Zubat does not have a chakra pathway system. But one day, he told me that Zubat formed a chakra pathway system inside his body after I released him from 'Absorb' mode. I could not believe it but a Hyuga testified that it was true so how can I refute him. So I trained with Inochi every day and indeed, there's a significant increase in the quantity of his chakra."

Okami realized that if what Inoichi said was true to all pokemon, then his Kadabra might have a very good chance of having chakra coming from Kurama because the humanoid pokemon was the one he absorbed at all times. He thought of asking for help from Rinan to check their Chakra Pathway System when their team would visit him. "Thank you for telling me that."

Shikaku coughed lightly. "I think we should finish this tiresome job. Brother Inoichi, tell me how many are they?"

"Fifteen. All of them are currently in one room."

Shikaku grinned and summoned Drowzee. "Let's just subdue them all at once. What a drag."

Okami raised his brows. "Are you sure?"

Shikaku laughed and patted Drowzee's head. "Come with me, Shikachu. Show me the result of your training. Let them witness the might of the Shika-Shika duo. It's not early anymore, I don't wanna be late for home."

"Do you think that I'll let you have all the fun? Come, Inoichi. Show them what the Ino duo can do!"

Okami scratched his head while unsummoning the rest of his pokemon. He thought of something and formed a plan inside his head. "Well...why not?"

He followed behind Inoichi and Shikaku. When they reached the door, Drowzee's head glowed and headbutted the door. It got destroyed and they went inside.

The thieves were flabbergasted when they saw that their door just flew away. The tallest one snapped his fingers and everyone raised their knives and kunai.

Shikaku did several hand seals and said, "Kagemane Kage Shibari no Jutsu!" He attached his shadow on Drowzee who was running towards the five thieves. When the enemies saw Drowzee being careless enough to approach them, they surrounded the pokemon when they noticed that their bodies could not move. They did not see Drowzee's shadow extending towards the five of them as Shikaku bind them with Kagemane no Jutsu.

When the three thieves saw that their friends became static, they became alarmed and ran towards them. Drowzee lifted his hands while his eyes glowed. There was a sudden flash of light and the three of them stopped moving.

Inoichi was not happy when he saw that they were getting all the actions. He did a hand seal and said, "Shinransin no Jutsu."

One of the thieves suddenly punched his ally and kicked the other one beside him.

"What are you doing, you prick?!"

"F.u.c.ker! Traitor!"

"No! Don't misunderstand! My body's moving on its own!"

Zubat's eyes shined and a circular ray zoomed out from his head. The ray then hit the one beside the enemy who was mind-controlled and started hitting himself with his knife.

"Good job with the Confuse Ray, Inochi. This time, use the charge-fused Supersonic."

Zubat's head was now covered with a light hue and screeched loudly. Several sonar blasts were produced and hit directly the targets.

The thieves began moving and attacking each other. It was a very painful sight.

Okami sneered when he saw what they were doing. Indeed, the enemies this time were very weak and he even had to do nothing because the two by themselves were more than enough to destroy them. Even then, he did not want to be overshadowed. He summoned Jigglypuff and absorbed the pokemon.

"Hello, everyone. Do you want to listen to a song?"

Shikaku and Inoichi just laughed.

"Sure, entertain us, Okami-kun," Inoichi answered.

"Have you heard of the Pokemon song? I heard that it's a cursed song because people who are unlucky enough to hear it usually sleeps."

"Then let us hear it."
