The Pokemon Emissary Among Worlds

Okami was back inside the hospital to visit Tomiro and check his current condition. He was confident with Chansey's Soft-Boiled skill but he was still unsettled until he could verify that he was okay. And he never forgot what his primary intention was - to invite Tomiro as his PokeMart Cashier.

Okami went to the reception desk. "Hello, Reika-san."

Reika smiled. "It looks like you were successful in apprehending the thieves. Good job, Okami-kun."

"It wasn't much. Anyway, can I still visit Tomiro? I know it's a bit late but I wanted to check on him if he's okay."

"Don't worry. His medical check-ups have normal results and he is fit as a bull. We still have to wait for the doctor's recommendation. There's a high chance that he will be allowed to leave tomorrow."

"That's good to hear."

"Since you're his savior, then I'll break the rule just this time. I'll take you there."

"Thank you very much."

Reika informed her coworker and led Okami to the room where Tomiro was, which was the exact room he was in when he fainted days ago.

"Looks familiar?" Reika teased the boy.

Okami chuckled. "Feels like my second home."

Reika laughed when she heard his answer. "Go inside. He is awake."

Okami nodded and opened the door. He saw Tomiro eating an apple. "Looks like you are okay, Tomiro-san."

"Okami-kun!" Tomiro placed the fruit on his plate. "I've heard from Reika-san about your heroic act. Thank you so much for saving me!"

"It wasn't much," Okami replied as he sat down. "Are you feeling okay?"

Tomiro nodded. "That f.u.c.ker fed me some sleeping pills!"

"What did he want from you?"

Tomiro sighed. "They were my older brother's friends. I never knew that my brother was part of a gang! What they wanted was the list that my brother has but I did not know what they were referring to. They thought I was lying so they planned to torture me, thinking I would give in after receiving such treatment. Luckily, you saved me."

Okami smiled. "So, what are your plans?"

"I don't want my parents to know about my brother's friends. It would just add to their current hurts. But I can't keep my job anymore or my parents will nag me to death."

"Well, good news for you. I want to hire you as the PokeMart Cashier. Want to work under me?"

"Of course!" Tomiro shouted in excitement. "I did not know that you are done with your plan. When should I start?"

"Next day. Can you do it?"

"Yes. Reika-san informed me that there's a great chance I'd be discharged tomorrow."

Okami grinned. "Then bring your mom and dad to my place as soon as you are discharged so they can see where your new working place is. I'll let you have a tour inside the shop. You'll be pleasantly surprised."

Tomiro gave a thumbs-up. "No worries. See you tomorrow, boss!"

"Goodnight, Tomiro-san." Okami did a hand seal and said, "Teleport."

He appeared right inside his room and freshened himself up. As soon as he was done, he checked his Pokemon App.

Okami was dozing off because his body was tired from the hectic activities. He took a quick nap thinking that he would wake up after several minutes but he never expected that his body would not listen and woke up tomorrow.

Okami was done grooming himself and the pokemon. He let out his pokemon to play outside while teleporting to Baki's place to get his order for breakfast.

"Hello, Baki-san. Good morning."

Baki set Happiny on the floor and approached Okami. "Hello, Okami-kun. How's your search for Tomiro yesterday?"

"Everything's okay but Tomiro is still in the hospital."

"Is he hurt?"

Okami shook his head. "They were not able to do so since I took immediate action and found out where their hideout was. Anyway, how's everyone coping with the situation?"

"All of them were able to receive support from the leaders. Financial support was available and contingencies were distributed, so everything's well."

"That's good to hear," Okami said as he took out a piece of paper. "Who should I talk to when I want to avail your banquet services, Baki-san? Pokemon Center will have its Grand Opening tomorrow."

"My son, Toki," Baki answered while he stooped down and picked a note from the cabinet. He then gave it to the boy. "Here's the price list of the different services this shop offers. Anyway, will I start working tomorrow?"

"Yup, sorry for not telling you right away. The shop's fully operational tomorrow." Okami took the paper and studied what was written. "Indeed, these prices are affordable. I've made my choice. Can I talk with Toki right now?"

"He's not busy yet. I'll call him."

Baki walked towards the kitchen and came out with Toki after a few minutes. "Here he is. I'll let you talk while I entertain some customers. After all, Pokemon Center's not yet officially open so I'm still this shop's worker."

"Heh! Whatever suits you, Dad." Toki shook hands with Okami and gestured him to sit down. "Dad said that you're interested in availing our banquet service."

Okami nodded as he showed him the type of particular service package he wanted. "I am not good with preparing parties so I need someone to do all these things for me."

"No problem, Okami-kun. You don't have to pay for the waiters. It's free for you as a part of my congratulations."

"Thank you."

"When will it start?"

"Tomorrow, at 9 am."

Toki nodded. "Luckily, our schedule's free tomorrow. Please pay half of the bill as your downpayment. Just pay the rest of the bill after the event."

Okami took out several paper bills and paid the bill in full. "I don't want to be bothered with any things that I had to pay so I'll just be done with it. And payment for my breakfast today. Same order."

Toki wrote the receipt and gave it to Okami. "Will you wait for your take-out or will you want it delivered to your house?"

"I'll wait."

Toki nodded and went inside the kitchen to prepare Okami's orders.

Okami spent his time playing with Happiny as he waited for his breakfast. After several minutes, Toki brought out a big package from the kitchen and gave it to Okami. After saying goodbyes to Toki and Baki, he teleported back to his shop and had breakfast together with his pokemon.

After he was done eating and did the dishes, he took time studying the manual regarding how the XTransceiver was used and all things that he had to know so as to have a successful grand opening tomorrow. He checked the Pokemon App and verified if his privileges were all renewed for the week.

Okami had to make a decision as to who to redeem between Zubat and Geodude since he was lacking 50 PP. After weighing his options, he opted for the boulder pokemon since Inoichi had one already and he wanted to introduce new pokemon to the public. After confirming everything through the Pokemon App, he felt the familiar sensation and he was almost blinded by the lights because of the may pokemon he redeemed simultaneously.

Okami saw the four pokemon before him staring at him as well. Machop was flexing his arms as he made several weird grunting sounds while Kanghaskan played with the baby on her pouch. Geodude hopped around as it created a small thud after every landing and Eevee strutted towards him and gave him a puppy-eyed face.

Okami smiled at Eevee's actions and hugged her. He then searched for the two pokemon who were not around. When he went outside the shop, he saw a tiny, brown pokemon with its beady, black eyes staring at him. The most noticeable part of his body was the large, round, pink nose.

If Diglett was here, Okami suspected that Tentacool could be found in the pond. True enough, he saw a small, jellyfish-like Pokémon swimming and his two large, transparent, red crystals on each side of the body was the only part he could see. Two grayish tentacles extended from beneath his body from time to time.
