The Pokemon Emissary Among Worlds

When he felt that the necessary chakra was molded, he then shouted, "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"

A perfect copy of himself appeared before him, whom he called 1st Okami.

"Hello, Real Okami!" 1st Okami waved his hand and gave a thumbs-up. "What are we going to do?"

Okami greeted him back. "Well, can you absorb a Pokemon and use a Jutsu?"

"Yup! Should I give you a demonstration?"

Okami nodded. "Please, do so. Use Butterfree in 'Absorb' mode and execute the Gust skill. I want to verify something."

1st Okami did what Okami suggested and performed the Gust skill. The gusts formed were smaller and weaker compared to Okami's.

"Do you feel that you can perform another Gust skill?"

"Yes. In fact, I feel that I can continue using it as long as I am not hit or get attacked," 1st Okami explained while executing another Gust skill.

Okami was pleased with the result even though the strength was not the same. After all, it was just his copy doing it and he could do anything he wanted while his copy was protecting him.

"How about absorbing another pokemon? This time, choose Pidgeotto and execute the same skill."

1st Okami followed his instructions but shook his head when he realized that his attempt failed. "I couldn't. I don't know but there's a barrier that blocks me from assimilating Pidgeotto."

"Try another pokemon."

1st Okami targeted Paras this time but the same result happened. He did not want to lose hope and tried all the pokemon but his hopes were dashed.

Okami then did another copy and repeated the process. After several tries, he was able to create another fifteen copies that had absorbed his remaining fifteen pokemon. The thing that made him very excited was the fact that abilities were also functional even when the pokemon was absorbed by a copy.

When he was done, he released all his copies. This time, he was ready to try the Jutsu he planned to create - Chakra-fused Teleport.

Okami imagined the way he wanted the skill to be and started creating copies of himself. He then unsummoned Kadabra and let 1st Okami absorbed him and further instructed that he should teleport beside him while molding and releasing the acc.u.mulated chakra in the way he wanted.

1st Okami vanished and reappeared right beside Okami, carefully following his instruction religiously. As soon as the acc.u.mulated chakra was released in a form of a blast, 1st Okami got destroyed and Kadabra was unsummoned.

"Ugh!" Okami m.o.a.n.e.d in pain as his body was flung towards the front.

"OKAMI!" Naruto shouted as he dashed forward to catch his friend. As soon as Okami was within Naruto's grasp, he checked for any vital wounds. "Are you okay?!"

Okami shook his head. "Damn! I never knew that this could hurt so much!"

"Let's go to the hospital!"

"No need." Okami summoned Chansey and instructed her to heal him using Soft-Boiled.

Chansey's egg inside her pouch glowed and disappeared. After a few seconds, Okami was then covered with the lights that came from the egg and he felt that he was revitalized. As soon as she saw that Okami was alright, she hugged her.

"Thank you, Chansey. You may go now."

Chansey wagged her tail as she walked towards the other pokemon.

Naruto eyed Chansey like she was some healing God. "Wow! There are even Pokemon that can heal?"

Okami nodded. "There are many things that a pokemon can help the ninja with. Anyway, I've never asked where you are the time that bird attacked Konoha."

Naruto frowned. "I was inside the shelter together with Iruka-sensei. All my previous classmates were with me. How about you?"

"I was with the Hokage." Okami summoned his Pokemon App and showed Naruto the details concerning Zapdos.

Naruto's eyes almost popped out when he learned that the bird was a pokemon. "There's a pokemon that strong?!"

Okami slightly gave a nod. "Yes. There are many strong pokemon, Naruto. Even your Vulpix is a rare kind, once it evolves it becomes much stronger."

"How can I evolve it?"

Okami explained to him the different ways of evolving a pokemon.

"Where can I get a Fire Stone?" Naruto asked as he looked at Vulpix. "I can't wait to change him into Ninetales."

"Don't worry, you'll get it eventually. Anyway, it's time for me to do my part of the deal. I'm gonna teach you Pokemon Jutsu."

Naruto called Kyuubi to come beside him. "Now what?"

Okami told him the proper way of using pokemon in 'Absorb' mode and showed him several examples. Since he knew that Naruto was never a technical learner, he just let him communicate with Vulpix and try doing it until he succeeded.

Almost thirty minutes had passed but Naruto was not able to absorb Vulpix nor used any Pokemon Jutsu for that matter. He was getting all the more frustrated because he did not want to make his friend disappointed with him.

"Argh! Again!" Naruto shouted as he did another attempt. When he noticed that it was a failure, he kicked the ground.

Okami knew that Naruto would practice this technique overnight just like how he did on Rasengan with Jiraiya. This time, he approached Naruto and patted his shoulder. "Naruto, I believe in you. I know that you can do it but for now, you have to return to Kakashi's place and resume your training."

"I'll do it. Thank you for believing in me, Okami." Naruto clenched his fists and was about to continue his training when he saw Okami holding his right arm. "Wait, Okami!"

"Teleport!"

Okami teleported back inside the Pokemon Center once he returned Naruto to Kakashi's place. When he saw that it was almost 2 PM, he hurriedly went to prepare the food he stored inside the fridge and served it on the table. After the pokemon were fed, he then teleported to the hospital and found out that Tomiro was discharged this morning. He reappeared right at the entrance of the Pokemon Center and practiced kage Bunshin no Jutsu while waiting for his employees.

"Hello, Boss!" Tomiro greeted Okami as he walked through the front yard. "There's so many pokemon around here compared to the first time I visited here."

Okami noticed that Tomiro's complexion was back to normal. "Seems like you are healthy again. That's good news."

Tomiro nodded. "The doctor said that it's even safe for me to do some lifting. Well, everything is all thanks to you, boss."

"Don't overdo the gratitude or I'll feel embarrassed about it. Anyway, where are your parents?"

"They can't make it. Busy with the transfer since they've found a new house just beside the Academy. They felt that it was necessary to look for a safer location."

Okami smiled and led him inside the shop. With a loud voice, he said, "Welcome to the Pokemon Center."

Tomiro became stupefied when he saw the changes that happened inside the house. He could still remember the time he delivered Okami's breakfast for the first time, the house was still b.a.r.e and the only furniture present was the table and chairs. But this time, several things adorn the building, which happened to be the first time he had seen in his entire life. It was like entering a new world with new technology.

"You like what you are seeing?" Okami asked in a sing-song voice.

Tomiro nodded and pointed his fingers towards the center area. "Is that the PokeMart?"

Okami shook his head. "Nope. That's the Healing Station. It's Baki-san's working area. Come and I'll show your working place."

Okami led him to the counter with glass displays located in front of the PC. "This is the PokeMart. It's just small for now but there will be more merchandise to sell after I gather more resources."

Tomiro traced his hands through the glass as he inspected the four goods. "Pokeball, potions, antidotes, and paralyze heals. What use are they for?"

Okami explained to Tomiro the uses of each item and showed him how to operate the cashier machine that converted Ryo to PP every time he needed to restock. He told him the different rules such as each item will only be replenished at the beginning of each day as set by the Pokemon App.

Tomiro memorized everything Okami said and even wrote these rules in a paper in case he forgot something. When he was sure that he asked all the things he felt was important, he went behind the counter and started operating the machine.

"If you have any questions, feel free to ask me," Okami said as he left Tomiro on his own so he could practice alone.

Okami was about to go outside when he heard the doorbell rang, which he installed the other day. He rushed towards the door and opened it.

Baki smiled as he hugged Happiny on his c.h.e.s.t. "Hello, Boss!"

"Baki-san, good afternoon," Okami said as he ushered him in. Once the grown man was inside, his reaction was just like that of Tomiro's. He almost laughed out loud when he saw how comical his face was. Before he could create another scene, Okami started explaining what he had to do and showed him the Healing Station, its uses, and how it was operated. He further emphasized that pokemon inside the Pokeball were to be healed using the Healing machine while humans and pokemon outside the Pokeball were healed via injections, potions, berries, and pokemon Jutsu like Soft-boiled. He left Baki alone to allow him to get familiar with his work and started training on his own outside the Pokemon Center.

After thirty minutes, Okami went inside and called his workers. Tomiro and Baki looked at him as they waited for his instructions.

"Are you okay with your respective works?"

Tomiro grinned. "Yes, boss. Even though everything was novel for me but your explanation was pretty clear and concise. I'm ready for tomorrow's opening."

"I still have to have an actual patient to know how to properly use the device. Other than that, everything else is okay." Baki patted Happiny's head, who circled him.

"Now, we are done with your duties. This time let us discuss the benefits you can get."

Tomiro and Baki knew beforehand what they could get while working inside the Pokemon Center but they were all the more excited after they saw how their shop looked like.

"First, I'm glad to tell you that you're about to become a Pokemon Trainer tomorrow. Do you have any idea as to who you want to be as your Pokemon starter? Remember, it is very important because the Pokemon starter is the only pokemon you will carry around without the need of a Pokeball. As for the rest of your pokemon, you can still keep them summoned as long as you keep the Pokeballs with you."

Baki chuckled and pointed at Happiny. "No contest. From the very first time I've seen her and knew about pokemon, I have already decided that she will be my Pokemon starter."

Tomiro scratched his head. "I really don't know who to choose. Everyone's available, right?"

Okami nodded. "You still have a night to choose. You may even approach each one of them after this orientation."

"Okay, I'll definitely do that."

Okami summoned two Pokedex on each of his hand. "These are called Pokedex. They're exclusively yours once you become a Pokemon Trainer tomorrow. They can't be stolen by anyone after you make a contract with it."

He then summoned the wrist watches after unsummoning the Pokedex. "These are XTransceivers. They're exclusively used by Pokemon Trainers. You will receive the instruction manual once you officially become a Pokemon Trainer."

After explaining all the things he had to do, Okami gave them a contract. "Please sign these papers. Once you do, you will receive those benefits."

Tomiro and Baki signed the papers after reading the contract.

Okami unsummoned the contracts and gave them a handshake. "From now on, you're officially part of the Ketchum clan."
