The President's Lover is a Fighter

Andrea woke up early in the morning and decided to make a proposal for Global China. She was already aware of their current investments and the flaws of each. Most companies often request for collaboration on a new project but considering that their company had several unfinished ones, she wanted to impress them by offering solutions to expedite the completion each of their major projects.

As she was polishing the document, Lu Fang turned to her side and put an arm around her waist. She looked down at the man who was still maximizing the remaining 10 minutes of his time to close his eyes. "Babe, wake up. It's already 6 AM. We need to get breakfast."

She was about to get ready herself when realized they could pretty much ask the new assistant to do anything. "No wait, since Mian is so determined to be your assistant, let's have her buy us breakfast. Lots of them."

"Hmmm… good idea. Then we can still sleep for another hour."

Andrea had a nasty grin on her face as she grabbed the man's phone and began texting Mian.

"Mian, have you had breakfast? Please buy breakfast for two. Buy waffles, two fresh fruit smoothies, 1 cappuccino, and 1 black coffee at the Mart's café, 1 Chicken fillet with omelet rice meal, 1 spicy pork ribs ala carte and 1 crispy fried baby eel at the Sheraton."

The person who received the text was quick to misunderstand since the man asked if she already had breakfast. She became ecstatic and rushed to get the food and drinks for Lu Fang. Unfortunately for her, it was all part of Andrea's plan.

The man was already busy on his laptop when Shen Mian arrived carrying with her several bags. When Gao Rou opened the door for her, the first thing that caught her attention was the man's alluring, firm and angular face. He looked incredibly sexy wearing no tie exposing a little skin on his upper chest. Her eyes gleamed with admiration towards her former lover.

"Fang, good morning." She came up to him with the biggest smile on her face.

The man looked at her once and went back to his laptop before saying, "Just put the food on the coffee table. You can give the receipt to finance for reimbursement."

As she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, she meekly said, "Oh, there's no need for that. I can buy our meals every day if you wish – "

"Babe, I found the tie that will match your suit." Mian was interrupted by a woman who came out of the private room with her hair still wet from taking a shower.

"Oh, hi Mian! Thank you for buying us breakfast. We are both so hungry." Andrea said as she approached the man.

Shen Mian was stupefied. All the while she thought that the breakfast was for the two of them. She heard that Andrea was in Korea and never expected to see her today. Seeing her come up to Lu Fang and put a tie on him made her extremely jealous. On top of that, she came out of the private room freshly showered which only meant they both had stayed overnight.

Lu Fang noticed that Mian was still staring at them so he asked her to get started with work. "Thank you, Mian. You may go now and work on your proposal as your father had suggested. You will sit with other secretaries behind Go Bolin's desk."

"Ah… I don't have my own desk?"

"No one can replace Go Bolin and Andrea will be using his desk from time to time, so you can work with the secretaries." Lu Fang said with authority.

Her lips formed into a circle and her eyes grew wide. She thought, 'Is this real? Why am I being treated like a normal employee?'

"Lu Fang, this is not what I had expected – "

"What did you expect? What kind of work would a temporary assistant do? And where would an assistant situate herself? Were you expecting to work inside my office? Not even Go Bolin dared to that."

She breathed in heavily trying to take in all his words. She told herself, 'Mian, you need to be patient with him. This is the only way to win back his heart.'

"I'm sorry. My mistake. You are right… Though, I am a bit hungry – "

"Oh, are you? Poor you." Andrea said as she went to the coffee table where the food was. She then peeked through them and when she found what she was looking for, she came up to her and offered something to eat. "Here, you can have the fried baby eels. They are absolutely delicious and crispy."

Shen Mian,"???"

Someone came out from the president's office flustered. Not only will she have zero chance to work closely with Lu Fang today, but she had also bothered herself to get the couple breakfast and left her with baby eels to eat. Worst, after about 30 minutes Gao Rou came up to her offering the same waffles she had bought. 'How come he gets to have waffles and I got the baby eel?'

She was sitting on her desk tapping her fingers thinking of what to do then her lips curved into a smile before calling her parents. 'I'll make sure you get humiliated tonight, Andrea Li.'

Later that afternoon, Lu Fang received a call from his father for them to have dinner at the Shen's Residence. "Lu Fang, the Shens wanted to celebrate in advance our collaboration with Global China and Mian having to work for you. They said you can bring Andrea with you."

The man did not want to go at all especially since they had asked for him to bring Andrea. They were certainly planning something against her. Why else would they want me to bring her along? Why the sudden interest in her?

"Dinner with the Shens. Do you think we should go?" He asked.

Andrea was rolling her eyes contemplating then said, "Well the worst that they can do to is embarrassing me. They certainly cannot kill me. So why not. Let's see what they have in store for me."

"Oh, let's have your new assistant drive us there. That would be fun."

"Nice."
