"I am sorry Christina. I meant no disrespect. We just wanted to be sure that Andrea is a good fit for Lu Fang." Yu Qiao's hands were trembling as she drank her wine. She could not understand how a simple plan to humiliate this Andrea Li is turning into a disaster.

"What's going on?" Shen Mian finally came back. She looked at the table and noticed how incredibly tense the environment had become.

"Mrs. Shen, who are you to decide and judge who is a better match for me?" With both elbows on top of the table, Lu Fang questioned her as he held together his hands. His Devilish aura became apparent as his eyes sharply narrowed to Mrs. Shen's direction.

"Mom, what's going on?" Mian continued to probe seeing the repulsive look on the man's face.

Mrs. Shen stood up to pull her daughter beside her and said, "Lu Fang, take my daughter for example. She is what our society would expect for you to marry."

"Yes, I agree with you Mrs. Shen. Mian has an IQ of 110, speaks 3 languages, has worked in well, reputable companies and studied in such a renowned institution." Ai Liqin added then turned to Lu Fang before recommending, "Someone like Mian is a better fit for you."

Although following a script, their fragmented speaking voice gave away their nerves. Ai Liqin and Yu Qiao were already beginning to doubt that their plan would work.

While cold stares are being thrown at each other, in the other end of the table, Lu Jie managed to ask Gao Rou for some beer match. "Gao Rou, can you ask the maid for some popcorn. Looks like we are bound to see some interesting exchanges here."

"Yes, sir. I agree. We may need a bucket."

Christina Lu was now burning in annoyance. She finally understood what they were planning to do. 'How despicable!' She thought.

"150! 150 is the minimum IQ score required to pass and be enrolled at Britain's Bright Academy!"

"6! Each student at Britain's Bright Academy is required to study and pass at least 6 fluency exams from different languages!"

The volume of Mrs. Lu's voice was already a notch higher and revealing high standards of the said academy made them choke on their words. She then turned to Andrea to confirm, "Isn't that right, Andrea?"

"Yes, that's right Mrs. Lu, thought during my time, we were already required to take 10 language proficiency tests."

Yu Qiao, "!!!"

Shen Mian, "…"

Ai Liqin, "..."

Needless to say, the other party were at loose ends. They could no longer formulate a counter-attack.

"Impressive, my love." Lu Fang said as he faced Andrea before starting a series of "I LOVE YOU" phrases.

Lu Fang: "je t'aime" – French

Andrea: "je t'aime aussi"

Lu Fang: "ti amo" – Italian

Andrea: "ti amo tanto"

Lu Fang: "ich liebe dich" – German

Andrea: "ich liebe dich auch"

The couple completed at least 8 languages that they both knew and in every "I love you" that man uttered, she replied back with either "I love you too" or "I love you more". While at it, their smiles and admiration for each other was well noticeable calming down the temper of Mrs. Lu.

Xie Yanmei's eyes were filled with happiness seeing the two that she congratulated them. "I love it! I love the two of you! I can tell you both are inseparable."

"I wish you all the best." She then stood up and gestured to leave. "Well then, this was a very entertaining dinner. In as much as I want to stay longer, I think I might drown from sweetness over this couple. Haha!"

She then looked at Shen Mian and said, "Thank you for inviting me to dinner." Turning to the couple, her eyes glinted before saying, "Call it faith that I came here."

The elegant figure had disappeared from the dining area and what was left were the despaired faces of the Shen Family.

"Now…" Lu Fang finally spoke. He lifted his chin and fixed his suit before making the final blow. "Since you are so adamant in staging the achievements of Mian, I certainly will not ignore it."

"Considering her intellect, previous work experience, and connections, she definitely deserves better."

Almost instantly, Mian's eyes lit up hearing the man speak. 'Finally', she thought. She sat down and looked at him in the eye hoping to hear more words of praises.

"Hearing your plea, Mr. and Mrs. Shen, It's obvious that you want more for your daughter. Thus, I have come to a decision... that she deserves more than just being my assistant!"

Lu Fang then stood up and extended a hand to her. "Congratulations, Mian. I am promoting you to being the new Sales and Marketing Director, Ecommerce Division! You will begin to work with the Vice President in this project and report in the Singapore Office next week!"

Andrea promptly clapped her hands and applauded, "Wow! Definitely well deserved, Ms. Shen." As she was praising her, she looked at Gao Rou intensely quickly making him understand.

"Congratulations, Mian! Let's have a toast to your promotion!" Gao Rou added to the cheer then followed Christina Lu. "Good decision, my son. Congratulations, Mian."

Lu Wei merely shook his head. It goes without saying, he was disappointed with the Shens. It made him realize how conniving women can be just to catch his son's attention.

Shen Mian was left speechless. She thought she had a solid plan, but even bringing Xia Yanmei to the picture, she was completely defeated. Everything had backfired on her. Instead of finding her way to Lu Fang, she will be headed to Singapore after a week.
