The Princess And The Demon

"Fog and shadows" Henry's loud voice roared across the shores, the demons who were struggling to fight the rest of the priests quickly got the message and started flrming shadows and fog camouflaging themselves from the archers, by this far the human king had proven himself worthy of their trust and loyalty thus they obeyed his order without hesitation, once the fog was formed the arrows stopped coming at them, better, everyone thought, at least this way they can focus of fighting off these men who refused to die...

The main problem was their fast healing, Henry thought, they healed faster than a heart beat which made killing them impossible, no matter how much they get stabbed, they didn't even have time to bleed before their wounds closed not leaving a trace behind...

Henry's thoughts were interrupted when the man threw the shard of sword to the ground and peeled his hand off his commander's shoulder, in no time his hand healed totally and he charged at him with his b.a.r.e firsts, weird, Henry thought stepping away in the last second, the man's angry fist landed on the ground leaving a huge dent in it, Henry's eyes widened in shock, these men were very strong, probably even stronger than the wolfdemons, sadly for him he lost his focus for a slpit second thinking back at a particular incident with the wolfdemons to only be greeted with the man's fist only few inches away from his head, Henry knew his brain would fly out of his skull if the fist reached him but he had no time to react, it was inevitable and probably this was his death...

Even when not being able to dodge, Henry refused to look away, if it is the end than he will leave this world with his head held high, but when the man's fist was only an inch away it froze in the air, Henry wondered what happened but he quickly got his answer when he heard Rima's agonized gasp...

The moment she shift her focus from keeping this mao guy frozen solid to freezing the guy attacking Henry, Rima's magic had broke around him his angry fist found her exposed neck, squeezing it roughly but not enough to kill her, he wanted the demon bitch to suffer a long death for what she did to him and for what her kind have done to his village including his family, his mother and father, his old grandmother, his siblings, his freiends, the girl who lives next door who once kissed him then run away shyly...for all of them he wanted this demon bitch to suffer, to experience the most agonizing death there was, tears gathered in Rima's eyes while her eyes tried to remove his harsh fingers, her vision turned blurry and her lungs were burning from the lack of air but suddenly the man's fist loosened up a little, looking at him she noticed the wild sword that cut threw his c.h.e.s.t, Mao released Rima who fell on the ground, this was exactly like the rainy night when they met, gathring what was left of her energy she summoned ice spears that burst from the ground, piercing both the man's bodies and fixing them to the ground, their blood started to flow while they tried to break free, Henry took the chance and quickly beheaded them both, even so they were still moving but much slower, they were both growing new heads while the fallen ones turned into a pile of ash... Henry took the chance to check on Rima who was struggling to breath...

Her lips were dry, her skin pale and cold, Henry knew she was strong enough to survive the attack but why was she in such a state, he started to panic before he remembered something very important...

"How has it been since you fed? " he asked her in a whisper that only she could here, he didn't need an answer though, he knew she was starving since he reached the small island...just then a very crazy idea came to his mind...

"Feed on them" he said confidently, she was too week to even talk but seeing the worry in her eyes he reassured her, "Don't worry, they are humans, they are only given the power of gods but their souls are still human... feed on them" he helped her stand up, the heads were regenerated until he lower lips so non of the men knew what was happening until Mao's energy started leaving his body, Rima bit in his exposed shoulder s.u.c.k.i.n.g both his blood and soul dry until there was nothing left of him but a corpse of an old skinny man pierced with ice, Rima felt more than full and satisfied, her skin returned to his color and she looked much livelier, deciding to share the fiest with other demons, she mind linked them all giving them a way the way to both defeat the Gods watch and restore their strength...
